We know Messi has the eye test, but Messi cooked Ronaldo so let's just his fans something to hold on to😂
Guys eye test is not about who has more flair or does more skills it’s about efficiency on the ball and how positive you can be on the ball. The passes you make, the dribbles you do, the shots you take and more.
I will explain why Messi is better on the eye test. Messi can dribble 3 people in a small space then play an incredible pass or make a perfect finish after it, which is something most players can't do, you don't need to look at stats to show you that is incredible. When Ronaldo dribbles, he does it after a fancy move, he can do a no-look pass, although these look flashy, it still holds the same value as a normal dribble, so essentially he did the same thing but more flashy. The eye test is how good you can see a player is without looking at stats, not who's most flashy.
PS: Watch 19 year old Messi if you want to see his best dribbling, the only other player who is that direct while dribbling and can manipulate the ball in small spaces is Brazilian Ronaldo.

If you're a football lover then you know whatsup in the eye test category. Messi is by far better than Ronaldo. The dribbling, passing, and scoring. Damn even Zlatan said watching Messi is like watching Playstation.
The video clearly makes an honest attempt at being unbiased, but it's near impossible to remove that bias. For example, on the eye test, he made sure to include a compilation of some of Ronaldo's worst misses, without ever making a comparable section for Messi's weaker aspects. And on the statistics, we all know it's very easy to paint whatever narrative you want. If he measured impact on team by points gained rather than goals scored when the player is on the pitch, would it make a difference? What about number of game winning goals? Goals in finals?
Again I don't think he is trying to be biased, but I think he inevitably had an idea in his mind on who the best is and the presentation of the video reflects that.
points gained is only in leagues and groups(and i'm pretty sure that messi has the most in europe) but goal scored is in every match and for the misses u can't find many clips of messi missing off target while ronaldo has many complation and also messi has the most goals and assists in finals in football history and the other stats u can't deny just accept that messi so much better than ronaldo!
Because Messi doesn't really have any noticeable flaws on the eye test compared to Ronaldo so it's harder to pick at. His shots are more accurate, his dribbling is more effective, his passing is more dangerous, he dives far less, his decision making is better, the only "flaw" you could even point at Messi is his lack of ariel ability due to his size, but he mentioned that in the Ronaldo section.
@@superstrat5826 Neither does Ronaldo, unless you are deliberately curating a compilation to drive home the narrative. It would be incredibly easy to go through Messi's 20 year career and make a 30 second compilation of his penalty misses or stray passes and simply claim these are weaknesses, which would obviously be bullshit.
The point is that on something subjective like the eye test, he had his winner in mind and had to find a way to justify it within the video. Ronaldo in his prime was one of the most ruthless finishers ever, compiling some of his worst misses ever doesn't change that.
Messi has more game winning goals & Messi scored the most goals in finals (In history) … So even if they included those categories Messi would still be on top . If you actually watch football, you know that Ronaldo is an amazing finisher. However he needs a supportive system where his team feeds him the ball infront of goal to score. He basically stands there and waits for the ball to come to him. If his team doesnt perform, ggs. Messi is a playmaker. He creates but can also finish just as good as ronaldo. Another comapison video is from the youtuber called Zioball. The video is called "Who is the Goat. Messi or Ronaldo" . Its a longer video but its a more recent video from 2023 and it goes more into detail the play styles and stats. It doesn't mention the 2024 copa america , but that title doesnt change the debate at all imo. Just know what ronaldo has 895 goals rn and messi has 838 goals rn. And by the end if the year ronaldo will be 900+ goals and messi 850+ goals and more assists.

Maybe it's not about who is better or worse but about each person's taste... Cristiano draws much more attention for his athletic figure, his headers, his runs and his juggling with the ball (with all due respect, he's an extraordinary player). Messi is a master at dribbling, assists, he gives more play and everything that a more complete footballer should have (for me). There are statistics pages that are updated and not much has changed (they only added Massi's 2 Ballon d'Ors and the World Cup), if not, everything is more or less the same.

I remember Messi making a great run and then there would be a man completely open only for Messi to keep dribbling the ball and end up ruining a better chance that would have resulted in a goal. That was pretty frustrating to watch because it could have been a golazo
