First taste of your sounds this morning stimulating captivating calming transporting - Wishing you well in whatever you individually do and wherever you may wander Sumana
Does anybody have an idea on how they develop these long songs? Do they Freestyle a lot or is everything planned to the detail? Any interviews where they talk about their workflow? Thanks :)
i dont really know about their words on what they do but (what i think) is a jam so most of the melodic parts are improv around base themes if i had to guess. other than that if you want to ''replicate'' a jam you probably have a loose outline of segments that follow eachother and just by having a lot of experience with making music with the same people you eventually just kinda ''feel'' where the rest of the band is going (staying in a certain segment or starting a buildup to a climax or whatever you can imagine)
The resulting music, moreso live performances, is probably due to jamming countless hours of sonic experimentation as a band that sometimes make them terribly exhausted and sleep deprived, to the point of hallucinating geometric patterns when you close your eyes
I haven’t eaten mushrooms in 6 years, but now I remember what it’s like

Seeing them for a second time in three weeks. Sad that they're going to disband, but maybe the members will have future projects on their own.
