Jasmina has abandonment issues. Her bio mom left. Then her bio dad, who left her with a lady he was ending a relationship with. She's gonna have to deal with that, or she's gonna be single forever. And she has to stop talking to people like they are her students.
People kept talking about Michael if he was the only one who had trauma in that relationship. Jasmina has had a tremendous amount of trauma and it has influence the way that she can relate to men. I think what she keeps calling a lack of Attraction is probably a fear of commitment on her part. it won't be just Michael who will experience this coldness

Michael listened to her w/o interrupting and when he ASKED to talk and started, the first thing she didn’t agree with, she interrupts him. Then demands that he let her finish… She’s cute but not that cute to accept her dismissive self!
I've noticed that too! Its like Shut up!!! I think he is better off. I believe he did try. HE was being more open and made romantic gestures and still nothing. She just wasn't feeling him like that. I think she maybe too independent and headstrong for a partner.

I think he didn’t really do anything romantic but because she labeled him aggressive. At that point it all was on her to let him know she was okay with anything. He was too afraid to have that label.

What love most about your show aside from the fellowship is how well you all pivot from conversation to advertising. You do it with honesty and you tell everything about how you actually used or tried the merchandise. I love it!!
You THINK people like Lindsey are there for you in a time of crisis however the really aren't, they're there for THEMSELVES. it makes them feel Superior to be able to help you And that's why she kept telling everybody that Marks life was a mess even if Mark didn't see it that way. The more she played up the crisis in marks life the more of a superhero she became in her own eyes and when he didn't show sufficient gratitude then people like Lyndsay lash out and get nasty. Oh BTW angel those segues to the ads are really sharp👌
I have watched MAFS since season 1 and it has changed a lot as far as the drama. I will say the first season with Jamie Otis she was repulsed by her husband, she thought he was ugly and wouldn’t let him touch her but they still stayed in it and he remained patient, they are still married to this day.

I disagree that the experts need to personally be people that have been married for decades and are on their first marriage; there are plenty of mental health professionals, who are screwed up in their own lives. But to me, I need the “experts” to be just that, actual experts not just TV personalities. Anyone can be a life coach or motivational speaker, but you can’t just call yourself a doctor without years of study, a degree, and years of practical work experience in your particular field. To me, Devon Franklin isn’t a bad choice because he’s divorced; he’s a bad choice because he has no professional training. He an “expert” in the same way that Steve Harvey is now a “judge”.
I can see this point. Maybe they are bringing him on as a “spiritual coach” because he is an ordained minister…and he’s one of the sweetest people ever in real life…so either way I’m cool lol 😆

I based my belief of Steve having money had to do with what he said he did for a living before he took time off. Dude was in the tech industry and can go back. It had nothing to do with his racial identity. I can also fully understand someone not putting their finances out to the public. It's frankly not our business and frankly that's what most folks were complaining about. They wanted access to his financial records.

Write it out and I’ll tell you if I can meet those expectations or not and discuss my potential opportunities or positions that can provide it in the future (without attaching a dollar amount). After these cameras leave and I trust you more… then I’ll tell you… sorry. My boyfriend still doesn’t know my salary, but he knows that I am comfortable and what I generally can afford… and I work as a consultant similar to Steve in an industry that always has a great job for my experience. Maybe, Steve could have done a little more to validate Noi’s concerns, but I can understand his hesitancy.

I’m not sure that a single or divorced relationship expert don’t have anything to contribute to the show. As TBTB mentioned, and I didn’t know, it sounds like the entire expert panel has been divorced… might be why the show is mostly trash! I just knew Dr. Jennifer, who was an expert until she ended up with a participant from S10 ( I think named Jonathan…matched w/ Molly) after the show, was divorced so divorcée’s can bring value to the platform.

I agree but I don’t think they should be in the role of one of the "experts." Real counseling, like what most of these people need, is not something to be shown on camera. People will not be able to feel safe enough to really deal with their issues if the therapy is not private. I think the insights they get from doing real therapy would help them all and possibly lead to more successful marriages and also more people learning when the relationship is a bad fit. If the show wants healthy relationships then this is mandatory.

I’m 5’ 9 and my resting caloric intake is supposed to be 1550 if I’m sedentary. Truthfully I can agree to that. 1800- 2400 plus calories a day keeps me at 192-208lbs.
Can you have expertise without lived experience? Is it possible for someone with a short-lived marriage or divorced to still have something of value to offer others seeking to grow in vulnerability and compatibility with their partner? I think about male gynecologists or other specialists who have never experienced what they practice firsthand, therapists supporting clients with addictions they have never experienced, teachers assisting students with learning disabilities they’ve never had, and so on. It seems acceptable in some areas to have an expertise without firsthand experience, but not others. Sure, there’s nuance but I wonder why we tend to view marriage (and parenting even) as sacred experiences that only people with that lived experience (with success) can speak on.
Well there’s significant training that comes with being a teacher, which I am, or a gynecologist to serve ppl that have problems they don’t directly relate to. If Devon wants to go there to tell couples what not to do if they want to stay married, that’s fair.
I don’t think she 9 years is short lived. Folks can barely make it 6mo-3 years & that’s after being with the person years prior. Hopefully he’ll use what he learned as helpful to the couples. Even his divorce was amicable; so that may be a great asset to a show like this bc of how toxic these people can get when they have disagreements, etc. After all that & I still totally get what you’re saying tho.
I disagree with Angel about Steve. My assumptions had nothing to do with race. I, in fact, said, that anyone that can take off of work for a year and travel, is goodt. Plus he's in IT. They don't have to work everyday. Their usually contract workers.
I believe Liss hit it on the head about Steve. He comes across as responsible and reasonable. I don't believe for most it was a race issue. Now I don't know why people jumped to millionaire. I never thought that.
It seemed to me that they were dressed by the show did anyone notice that the couples who stayed together actually have matching outfits for example the men would have a handkerchief that matched the women's dresses? that was a definite coding by production
It would be cool if the show had someone that was married once but about 5 years so far because they can speak to new relationships. Also the 2nd could be a long term one time spouse & then the 3rd could be a divorcée. Then they can all have true expertise in the field. The way they made Lindsey apologize for what she said on camera about Mark when she thought the cameras weren’t listening. Alyssa was never encouraged to apologize to Chris for what she said about him when she though the cameras weren’t rolling. Pissed me off.
Lindsay didn’t like Alyssa since the bridal shower party. Then it was the way she was treating Chris. Olajuwon and Katina were the plane fight victims of Lindsay.

I’m 5’ 9 and my resting caloric intake is supposed to be 1550 if I’m sedentary. Truthfully I can agree to that. 1800- 2400 plus calories a day keeps me at 192-208lbs.
Can you have expertise without lived experience? Is it possible for someone with a short-lived marriage or divorced to still have something of value to offer others seeking to grow in vulnerability and compatibility with their partner? I think about male gynecologists or other specialists who have never experienced what they practice firsthand, therapists supporting clients with addictions they have never experienced, teachers assisting students with learning disabilities they’ve never had, and so on. It seems acceptable in some areas to have an expertise without firsthand experience, but not others. Sure, there’s nuance but I wonder why we tend to view marriage (and parenting even) as sacred experiences that only people with that lived experience (with success) can speak on.

Well there’s significant training that comes with being a teacher, which I am, or a gynecologist to serve ppl that have problems they don’t directly relate to. If Devon wants to go there to tell couples what not to do if they want to stay married, that’s fair.
They just said that everyone else has been divorced so bringing in another opinion may have been helpful.
I don’t think she 9 years is short lived. Folks can barely make it 6mo-3 years & that’s after being with the person years prior. Hopefully he’ll use what he learned as helpful to the couples. Even his divorce was amicable; so that may be a great asset to a show like this bc of how toxic these people can get when they have disagreements, etc.
