Probably not drunk but definetely stupid and mad (and far too ambitious). The beginning of the end of Thomas Seymour.

I think he was bipolar, which was untreatable at the time, and unrecognised. He took some INSANE risks.

Overweening ambition without the necessary critical thinking ability.

The cause of his downfall was his own stupid ambition and greed for more power

This is a pretty good series as long as none of the female leads (particularly Elizabeth) are on screen. The male actors have passions, the female actress' are sleep walking. I don't know why. History accuracy probably not particularly high.

While I agree with you with regards to Elizabeth, I will say that the actress playing Mary did a good job in her role. Between the two, Mary should have been the lead female character in the series. The show may have lasted more than a single season if it did.

@@arashi3483 Yeah I agree. Mary should've been lead but even she only verbally fights. The females even her seem to sleep walk next to the passion of the males. Then they canceled it on top of everything else

Wel in that time no female was going to fight physically not even the Quwen of England ifbshe was married, unless she dealt with traitors.
Women answered to men back then. Mary's protestant brother was on the throne, nd his uncles and Norfolk ran the country. Mary's male cousin may have been the emperor, but he was busy in his own wars to keep threatening England over his unmarried female cousin, who had no stake in the crown over Henry's direct son(he also agreed England needed a son for stability). Mary also believed in her brother's God given right as their father's true heir to rule and knew it was best for England.
The catholics like Mary also recognized Edward's right to rule as true heir, and England needed a male heir. The catholics were also zealously prosecuted during the Edwars's reign.
Mary couldn't be physical outside of using her cosuk as a threat. Or when Edward looked like he might not make it and Mary raised an eyebrow at Dudley to say, "I'm gonna be your queen in a few days. What were you saying and doing again? Do you need a neck massage?"
