I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

So Helena actually committed uninstall life I guess. You can see pills on the table and then the next scene her arm goes limp. But I'm glad that they're doing this dark backstory and makes Helena's "I will survive" line more impactful

It really is a grounded and empathizing backstory. It makes her a lot more real as a character.

Easy: they don't get plot armour, instead, they get plot spears.
Because her spear in the show is custom, if you look at the blade its actually a hybrid Guandao a heavy bladed pole arm from chinese history
That “rex” has 3 fingers, so either the animators didn’t know the difference or it isnt a rex. Tyrannosaurids have 2 fingers, so this could potentially be something else, the headships does look a lot like a rex tho so I’m not sure
I love how Helena spawns in at the beach and meets a Bob right away

So in the notes all characters talk about their past, whats left behind, whats been achieved and whats loss. Like everyone believes their past life is still waiting for them unaware of the fact they are already dead. Like imagine the last thing you remember is watching raasclark before waking up on an unknown beach...

I really love that Wildcard listened to the community and actually gave a beach Bob a key role, or at least it seems like that. Ik that it was revealed several months ago, but I didn't think that he'll help out Helena at the beginning. I fought he would be, well, a typical beach bob.
I expected Bob to run at Helena with a club and some bolas.

I honestly think the Island map lines up pretty good from the trailer so far…
When she is hanging from the PT with green ob off to the right it’s as if they are flying from blue ob with white sky peak and the frozen fang off to the left and with the volcano between the PT and green ob.
I only now see Dee Bradley Baker is part of the cast. I love the clone wars and him voicing the clones played a huge part in that. Such an amazing voice actor.
For those confused by the first quarter of the trailer; Helena's wife, Victoria Walker, joins an unspecified high risk mission and is killed. The grief-struck Helena is implied to overdose and die, her consciousness then awakening in a new body on the Island through her 'engrammic matrix' having been recovered and stored far in the future by the people behind the ARK project, then planted on the Island ARK. The matrix was basically a freshly discovered part of the brain that remained recoverable even after many years of decay, capable of storing the person's DNA, personality and memories - this is why the ARKs are populated by people from vastly different cultures and time periods. As far as Helena is concerned, she simply fell asleep and awoke on the Island - she has no grasp on the amount of time that has passed since her death. Cue the epic but not very well known story of Helena and the other explorer note writers.

I just don’t understand the suicide part. If humanity is trying to save itself wouldn’t you bring back the strongest wills and most diverse sets of abilities? Suicide is a decision to end your life in grief. Not a very strong will.
She should have had a different back story altogether.
Maybe lost at sea during an expedition. She thinks she was washed ashore on an island when, in reality, she drown. Easy fix and it shows she has an adventurous spirit with excellent abilities in biology.
Dying for love lost is the most gumption thing. It means you have loyalty and commitment to follow your soul mate wherever they go. You see weakness. I see strength. That's someone who will die by your side in battle.
@@jonsolo32 The ark project basically stores every single human ever in history so it isnt a matter of Chosing who is in it or not
I cried too. I'm not surprised you're crying considering how much love is in this game, how many memories, and how long we've been waiting for the show.
goosebumps watching it , never thought that when i started playing a little dino game on day 1 of early access it would grow in to the monster of a game its become and spawn an animated series that would include names like Crowe and big VD , absolutely unreal

I can’t be the first person who isn’t surprised wildcard delayed it. But it looks hella good and I hope it won’t be released late in 2023.But If it was gonna be released earlier maybe they would have said a date. Im praying it’s not gonna be a late 2023 release.

Also Raas, with the obilisk acting up there is a bit in the SE notes where they talk about the obilisks putting on a show when there's a new arrival/someone xfers. Maybe that's what's happening here.

I had a very similar reaction when I saw it first. But I didn't cry of joy, I was jumping around like a small kid full of excitement, although I'm almost an adult, because this is the series that I have been waiting for the most. It's so good to see one of my favourite games got made into an actuall hand-drawn animation series. I cannot await to finally see it

It still feels like a feverdream that this is happening, it's not like Ark is a "mainstream" game, that's already super popular with merch everywhere and stuff...but it still gets this epic looking thing. The animation looks SO good!

Only inaccurate thing about this is that Bob doesn't have ridiculously weird proportions.

The only thing I’m excited for is seeing Rockwell and watching him descend further and further into madness in each episode or seasons if the first season does well enough.
Bob is probably the player in single player the reason why he is chosen to kill the king titan is because Helena met him first
This is just an idea so feel free to disagree but to me bob feels like the player

Love how it looks like it isn’t going for the kids approach, with helena (judging by the wine and pills) commiting not-alive, there being multiple cases of blood being shown and someone violently getting eaten by piranhas. Hope that they keep this astetic for the entire series and that the “plot armor” that you see in most kids shows is not as present here.

After seeing the trailer, I was waiting for your reaction. Bro yes on the cast line up, it's insane. The art style is interesting. It looks like hand drawn 2d cartoon style rather than 3D animation. Yeah, the Dino's do look rather large but I wonder if they're trying to get that original feel when you first start playing in first person where everything is massive and seems overwhelming. Lastly, I'm going to have to look up bob references because I either don't remember or have no idea what or where that character is from.

Guess for ep 1: Starts with Helena losing her spose and most of the intro of the trailer + a bit more. Then half way through ep 1 she walks up on the island. meets bob and be the end bob asks whats she is going to do and she says surive like at the end of the trailer.

This looks amazing! I’m really excited, and to be honest I’m actually happy that it looks like the dodo is gonna be around for a while, it’s adorable. Even seeing Helena carry it around while riding a parasaur gave me nostalgia, my first ever tame was a dodo and I’d be carrying it around all the time. Again, I’m just so excited I can’t wait.
Imagine they take it further than current story and for example, another clone of nerva is spawned into ragnarok or something. Either replicating his approach as on the island or becoming a slightly less villainous character bc of other external variables like companies or experiences.
Bob seems to know a lot about what's going on for someone who isn't even in cloth armour.
He had respawn so many time and it's wipe his inventory everytime.
Hench he lost all his gear yet seem to be very knowlegeable.
He probably was there for like 5 hours before Helena spawned

Really curious how Vin Diesel’s involvement will come into play since his character doesnt enter the main story until much later.
My guess, Santiago's backstory just to set up why the the Arks exist, the element war, etc.
@@Kevinskcirdneh see I dont think so tho. One of the biggest driving forces of the story is the mystery of where they are and why, so I feel like if they just explained all that in season 1 it would lose a lot of the intrigue that was built up as they traveled through the other arks.
My best guess is they’ll cut to him for a brief period either near the beginning or end since Vin as Santiago has kind of become the poster child of Ark.
I mean Vin Diesel is stated to be huge fan of the game, so I can imagine him wanting to really be involved in this sort project.

Helena left life by her own choice after her wife died. She wasn't expecting to not get to the afterlife. In the game, all of us were harvested from earth at the moment of our deaths. All supposed to be exceptional for survival, for finding a way.

Yep. As a halo fan, I was really upset with the show and was hoping this would turn out differently. But it doesn't look like it.

The backstory will likely be important, and there will most likely be a lot of ARK. It's important to understand that differences are normal, and portraying them in shows shouldn't be something to consider negatively

Raas there is a difference between anime, and animated series’. Anime is a japanese style animation, while animation is more of a general variation.
is this really the afterlife? cause it seems like helena cut the life cord connecting to the world outlet and went to the forever box and then ended up in ark. i wonder if thats what heaven really is? a primal survival with dodos and infinite lives.
