Great scene. My favorite bit is how his voice echoes when he puts his head in the oven! Sad to think Val’s voice is gone now. But thank you for loading a HQ version all those years ago. 👍
Yes, it's a funny scene in an absolutely hilarious movie, but what makes this all more humorous to me is that the Zucker Brothers went the extra mile to create a legitimately catchy song that Val Kilmer sang himself. And on an unrelated point, those backup singers are amazing.
I saw this when I was 8 or 9, and when Hillary's old flame showed up and she actually went for him I was going "how the fuck can you choose this curly-haired weirdo with the freaky eyes over my boy Nick??!! Are you insane, woman???" 😂
You see - when John Major said: Back to Basics Everybody thought he was a prat For God's sakes ! (PS - you have to do his voice in that dull, grey way they take him off)
1:24 Looks just like a 20ish Elizabeth Shue. This girl is uncredited. The young girl is Sara Montague. Its her only role ever. She doesn't speak so I doubt she got her SAG card. 😂
Val is really good in this, his first role, but the three back up guys make a really underrated performance. Outstanding they are too
Yes people, the one who's singing is Val Kilmer.
It was his first movie and he did all his singing and dancing.

In this sequence Kilmer makes a credible parody of certain American pop stars of the sixties and their fans.
This is kind of bible for every slapstick movie on this world!!!
this movie is so good brings back memories and val was so good looking

I finally understand the screaming and crying in the audience...
This is better than any ballads Elvis sang.
No lo creo, pero bueno.......no esta mal, esta muy bien.
Good song
You're going to have to run me through this Ms Swan - although I'm loving the imagery and cardie-ology
1:16 A ha ha .... :)))

Tom Cruise wishes he was that cool. Iceman always wins
Who the hell is that woman at 1:24, I swear I seen her in other movies.
Chris Boyer she's hot!
No - you got the style
I'm behind by a mile
name of the song is called "Spend This Night With Me" and NOT "Baby Please"
Props to the back up singers!

I'm confused, where are you getting Bobby Rydell from? Genuinely curious.

Does anyone have the lyrics for this song?

Val seemed to have a sense of humour once, wha' happened?
