I've been keen to see this one, as we are traveling to Zanzibar in Jan 24. We are staying pretty much halfway between Kendra and Nungwi, so I guess we will soon discover if we will turn left or right when we leave out hotel....I'm already think south towards Kendra! Thanks for yet another great, informative and honest video.
How did your trip go and which hotel were you at? We plan to stay in Amaan Beach Bungalows. It's too close to Nungvi tho so we might change it as this video and others show that Kendwa is much better :)
Stalactites have a T for Top and Stalagmites have a G for ground… at least that’s what I remember from school lol. Awesome video as ALWAYS. Loving these adventures always educational 😊👍🏻. Well done standing firm re the police, welcome to Africa 😅 you handled that well
@@WhereNextFamilyoh okay - just tryna figure out which area of Kendwa you stayed in. As the beach side where your at the water looks amazing. Were you near Kendwa Rocks? We plan to stay maybe near AMAAN Beach Bungalows
Fun Fact about being a Sailorman back then, they had this tradition that they wear a ring or earrings worthy enough to buy a casket or coffin if they accidentally died in a strange place.
You should include video footage of what driving on the crowded roads in Zanzi is like, that the roads in Nungwi are treacherous, and the fact the town is a complete dump apart from some hotels on the beach along the west side of the town. You only show the higher end aspects on your travels, accommodation and places to eat, it’s deceptive and not a true representation of what it’s actually like in reality
We actually documented our experience, we didn't hide anything. We actually did not find the roads were congested at all compared with many other countries we have travelled (keep in mind that we have driven many times in Nairobi and similar places). We show things exactly as we experience them, and also (respectfully) we will show that in the way we choose to.

I've never thought to ever travel to Zanzibar but your video makes it look like so much fun! Definitely on the bucketlist now!!
You should, its an awesome place to visit 😀
Love your content ❤ could you guys possibly consider putting the prices up on the screen of how much things cost. Like the car, Airbnb's, meals etc. 🙏
We actually usually do! Sorry we missed it recently. We will be sure to add them in again 🙏
Self drive is best idea and value for money if visiting Zanzibar. Note Google maps may not be very accurate to the finer details...
Agreed
Beautiful vlog. Did you have to register the drone in Zanzibar?
Yes you do
@@WhereNextFamilyhow much do u pay for a drone ,did they see it or you did not want to take a risk.?

Oh so I got it backwards!
@@WhereNextFamily easily done, I used to get confused with that one all the time quite a good way to remember it with the T and G once you know 😊
Stalac(tits) hang ... easy :)
Mites grow up and Tights get pulled down (if your lucky)!
Thank you! 😍👍
Welcome!
Where were you staying in Kendwa? Any hotel recs
We stayed in a small gues house. It was nothing special which is why we didn't mention it. There's many affordable places to stay

Can you walk from Nungwi to Kendwa
It would be a pretty long walk and don't think you could do it on the beach, so best to drive it IMO
Yes, you can at mid to low tide. Decent walk but possible.
