  • ASMR is very popular on TH-cam and it would be remiss off me to not at least shut up for one video and let people who love the sounds to enjoy at least one video.
    This was filmed back in 2019 when I had my BMW F30 320d , looks like I let it get super dirty , neglected even and the water and chemicals were having a very hard time of it trying to break through the grime.
    You will see me using 2 different wash mitts of the chenille noodle variety of which I no longer use for the paintwork, just lower sills and the bottom of doors and sometimes grills.
    The section at the end is actually some product testing I was doing for Autoglanz to develop what is now, the spray and rinse sealant Aqua-Seal , I included that just to gauge opinion on whether speaking while shooting the film was better than my usual voiceover , please let me know your thoughts on which you prefer to watch.
    Thanks for taking the time to read this and enjoy the video 🍿

    How on earth did you manage NOT to clean that, I'd have been climbing the wall each time I got into it. As for the video my personal preference is I like your dulcet tones over a pressure washer anyday, I would prefer to hear a voice explaining the products and processes as you go including your opinions etc etc. It goes to show that keeping on top of maintenance washes and good protection saves all that hard work just to get it back to some sort of normal.

      Thanks Paul, it’s an experiment to see if music & voiceover is reducing views , I’ve been lowering music levels recently as a few people were commenting it was distracting , this was a winter clean, and being around 3 years ago I can’t for the life of me think how it got so bad 😬
      I don’t blame the chemicals for not working so well as it must have been weeks worth of dirt but came right in the end but it was hard work 😅
      THANKS for the feedback!, normal service will be resumed on the next one 👌

    That was one filthy car ,and Road Rage is a product I really rate ,the Snowfoam certainly did not impress ,spray and rinse products great for winter use 👍and please keep the voice over going I always like to hear you talk about your process and your honest critique on products used 👏👏👏

    Lovely video! I enjoyed that. Shampoos a beautiful looking product. Not sure how effective the pre wash was but sometimes you just have them days where no matter what you throw at it a contact wash is the only way forward. Great results and awesome gloss from the autoglanz pre released product. I've got a bottle I've not tried yet but I'm a massive fan of products which can sheet water like that. So much easier to dry the car 👍👍

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Sean!, I DID like the Bubblor shampoo until one day it was warm in the garage and the wax actually evaporated from the bottle encrusting around the cap, messaged STJÄRNAGLOSS about it who didn’t come back with anything to say on the matter so I personally wouldn’t use it again. SHAME
      Looking forward to your thoughts on the Aqua Seal mate 👌

    BH auto foam at 5% PIR. Would saved a lot of water & time. Enough time for you to finish painting that astrological star chart you promised me last year xx

      Thanks mate!, I’ve had better results with it on another video, quite far back in the catalogue of a full valet on a Vauxhall insignia , really worth while checking that one out
      This car I think the grime had been so baked on it would have taken a few hits to break it down

  • @decker0373
    @decker0373 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Good result after a faltering start, with the road rage and foam. Like the others have said, I'm not a fan of no voice over but I understand the need to experiment.

      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Lee!, yeah Bubblor shampoo saved the day there for sure. Took a whole bucket of the shampoo to do it but got there in the end.
      Hard work , feet up and coffee after that ☕️

      Another excellent spray/ rinse sealant is VP Valeting Products Beadz. I use it through a foam lance every wash as it's usually windy and you lose as much product in the wind as you actually get on the vehicle ( because it's so cheap & easy) 50ml-450ml water & it lasts a decent amount of time for 5 minutes work. Usually buy it on their upcoming Black Friday deal when i get 1L upgraded to 2.5L for £11. Auto Finesse Lavish Ceramic Foam is excellent too & gives easily 3 months protection for the same procedure.

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Alan , do you not find these cause glass streaking issues and / or wiper smearing after using these foam sealants?

    • @alantaylor2
      @alantaylor2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@GMDetails Not at all Graham, maybe it's because i always use them through a Foam Lance & keep blasting away to use the product & then clean the lance and quickly change to the higher power of the pressure washer itself. I have found that they all need to be quite aggressively rinsed ( which is no big deal) and they seem to be more effective and also they never get the chance to start to dry out on the vehicle. First thing i do after rinsing is to dry the glass though. I cleaned my wife's car yesterday & applied AF Lavish & i thought it looked absolutely beautiful. it's Ford Magnetic & the gloss appeared deeper & shinier.(even she commented )😂

    What the hell Graeme it must have taken a lot of patience to let your car become that dirty😅. Have to say that I like your usual video's more, the ones with comment and so on.

      Thanks mate, usual winter up here by the time you get a day that is above 0°c to wash and a day off it’s caked!!
      My trouble is I live on a slope and the water runs down the street, I wouldn’t like someone to fall on the ice just so I can have a clean car, or should I be more selfish? 😅

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate, yes winter grime oily traffic film, just wasn’t budging at all!, trying to fit cleaning around work & weather can be a right hassle at times but yes, it was really hard work !!

  • @alantaylor2
    @alantaylor2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That looked like a lot of hard work Graham. The prewash chemicals and indeed the pre rinse seemed ineffective, was it the latest green version of Road Rage or the old blue version ?. Personally i seldom bother with a pre rinse except for the wheels & your videos are much better with your explanations 👍🏻

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks again Alan, it was indeed really hard work!!, the grime was stuck on that road rage certainly did struggle but I’m really not a fan of FOAMumental
      Yes it was the green new formula , had just been released when I made the video , and at 10-1 it was a task and a half for that level of dirt , I’ve got another video using Road Rage cleaning a Vauxhall Insignia which has better results 👌

    • @alantaylor2
      @alantaylor2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GMDetails Graham, i would have thought that Road Rage at 10:1 would have been far more effective than that. I wonder how Surfex HD would have performed. 🤔

    Great video mate I’m itching to clean my car but the weather is not playing ball down here in the south 🙄 quick question would it not of been better to not pre rinse and gone straight to the pre wash stage ?

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe / maybe not 🤣 there’s been many people tried to test this and results are always inconclusive, no harm in going round with the pre wash spray to loosen the crud on top and maybe reapply before snowfoam but then snowfoam being applied wet is gonna fall off quickly , no right or wrong way really

  • @sixtysecondsofstephens2386
    @sixtysecondsofstephens2386 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video. I do question snowfoams when they perform to a poor standard like that one. Very enjoyable to use don't get me wrong.

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks mate, yeah I’d much prefer not to go to the bother of using them if they’re going to be as kak as that , I think another round of the prewash spray would have been a better shout

  • @greymark420
    @greymark420 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Got to say Graeme Road Rage and snow foam did virtually nothing in taking some of the dirt off. Not particular impressive products.

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate, one of the reasons I didn’t do voiceover here is I can’t remember the dilutions here 😬 it’s likely to be 10-1 but I cannot verify that.
      Weeks of build up would maybe have taken a couple of hits of road rage but the FOAMumental snow foam nah, just didn’t like that at all.
