Once when we went to our Patel friend's house in USA, we had noticed that the small bathing soap that we can't use on our body anymore, these friend of ours would bring small soap down to the kitchen and melt it, and then they would use it to clean the sink. This we saw with our own eyes. Moral of the story, Gujaratis will never waste anything.
