Praise God! Several years of searching for this song and I finally found it today! Here's the story. More than 10 years ago, a friend gave me a cassette tape filled mostly with country bluegrass gospel songs and this one was in it but unfortunately, the tape didn't have titles nor the names of the artists so it was a tough time for me figuring out both details. I have been second guessing the titles by drawing words and phrases from the lyrics (kinda like using a concordance in order to find a particular verse). I also had to figure out which group was singing and honestly, it was tough 'coz almost all the bluegrass artists played and sounded almost in identical fashion, particularly in the vocals where they all have a very low bass and a very high tenor. Then voila! It's like hitting a jackpot! I was really pleasantly surprised that I guessed it right this time after all the trials and errors. It was The Inspirations, although I wasn't really expecting it. It really is a huge and wonderful blessing that kind souls like you would post this song on youtube. And so there it is, the end to my years of searching. Thank you so much for uploading. You made one soul very happy.
tuberobotto By the way, I made two "jackpots" today when I found the other song also by The Inspirations. It's called "Take Him Down". I initially labeled the song as "Had I been to Calvary" (drawn from the first line) and left the artist blank. Who would have guessed the title was actually "take Him down"? As for this song "That Same God" I labeled it as (yep, you guessed it) "God spoke in Fiery Fury" hahahaha. The other trouble I had in guessing the titles was the difficulty I had in deciphering some of the words in the lyrics 'coz I'm not used to the accents of the people singing in the recording. I honestly declare that I've been blessed today. Thank God for your channel and for posting these ageless and priceless gospel songs.
Verse One God spoke in fiery fury, upon Mount Sinai Men feared to come nigh to Him lest they should surely die That same God holds my trembling soul and fills my heaving breath He whispers gently "peace be still, come unto me and rest" Chorus Power yet Love Tender yet Strong God who masters mountains so sweetly loves his own The billows answer his commands, their under his control That same God sends refreshing winds to breeze my weary soul Verse Two Gods speaks in rolling thunders, that cause the earth to shake Clouds are the dust of His great feet His fury spuns the quakes That same God sees tears wash my face as my soul bleeds with care He tiptoes to my valley low and stands beside me there Chorus Power yet Love Tender yet Strong God who masters mountains so sweetly loves his own The billows answer his commands, their under his control That same God sends refreshing wind to breeze my weary soul

I love this song!
Verse One
God spoke in fiery fury, upon Mount Sinai
Men feared to come nigh to Him lest they should surely die
That same God holds my trembling soul and fills my heaving breath
He whispers gently "peace be still,
come unto me and rest"
Chorus
Power yet Love
Tender yet Strong
God who masters mountains so sweetly loves his own
The billows answer his commands, their under his control
That same God sends refreshing winds to breeze my weary soul
Verse Two
Gods speaks in rolling thunders, that cause the earth to shake
Clouds are the dust of His great feet His fury spuns the quakes
That same God sees tears wash my face
as my soul bleeds with care
He tiptoes to my valley low and stands beside me there
Chorus
Power yet Love
Tender yet Strong
God who masters mountains so sweetly loves his own
The billows answer his commands, their under his control
That same God sends refreshing wind to breeze my weary soul
