I have a 2013 model TXC 310R, basically the same bike, except a few upgrades. These things are beasts, super torque and power. EFI 4 stroke and mine came from the factory mapped for unrestricted power unlike the TE models, twist the throttle and instant high revving RPM's. Relocated oil glass hole to behind the clutch cover, WR 6 speed tranny and hydraulic clutch is super easy pull and wheelies in all 6 gears. Excell rims, KYB suspension, Desert racing model, top speed is about 80 mph.
I have got one of these and they are a nice thing, Mine made 29.7HP on the back tyre. and now has got an Athena 310 kit with a power commander 5 and autotune. It now makes 38HP on the back wheel with a road bike tyre. I will be hanging onto this bike for a long time now< i love it so much.
@lukeluke9494 but you dont have to maintain the 4stroke as much as a 2stroke and i dont really see whats more difficult about riding a 2stroke than a 4stroke?
Top speed of about 55-60 mph for street. But at 55-60 you are running high RPMs, which is bad for the engine. it is a true trail bike that can do OK dual sport if you maybe change the gearing or the sprocket. I just got one, and it is a wonderful bike.
did he say it only does about mid 30s hp ?!??! wtf it mshould be able to do more than that 125s can do 35 hp or even abit more so how is a 250 the same?
@pepsutti alright thanks :) was just curious because i hear all the time people arguing over 2strokes and 4 strokes. also dont worry your english to me was very good probably better spelling than some english people now days :P
No fucking way does this bike make 30+ HP at the rear wheel. It probably has more poke than the WR but the WR is under 30 at the crank. This bike is probably 30 at the crank.... I love them. I want a 250 or 310 followed by the Yamaha WR. I think I will stay in the 250 class when I replace the KLR that I bought last month on the cheap 'cos I needed another bike besides by Speed Triple that I can get dirty and go off road on.

@saintturntup As I understand it, all the TE models are 4 stroke, and all the WR-models are 2 stroke.
@pepsutti is it true that if you are gona buy any bike thats smaller than 300cc a 2 stroke usually is the better choice??

@cycletorquedotcom would it be a good bike to make street leagal?

@anonymous36594 because WR takes alot more care and the maintenance gaps are smaller in this one.
How much is it.

i don't like the short gearing for a enduro like the 250/310 both have
Well it kind of is what it is though.... I ended up with an XR250R and of course it too is low-geared.
it has 38hp at the crank here in germany. so it should be around 30 at the wheel
You took the words right out of my mouth LOL
@saintturntup Look at the cylinder, and he even says its 4-stroke -_-
Wdym its a 4 stroke
:D wtf why would any1 buy 1 of these as the WR125 has more power and is a lot lighter? +that 2-stroke sound... 8)))
haha snapped
