Incredible PhotoShop skills! I love that little blue boat and the "no parking" image is fabulous too. Leaving that bit of ICM as background was perfect!
absolutely loved this video Gary. As a photographer with digital retouching skills I really get what you said about having that "further" vision. I might do this challenge myself soon in Viv-i- van. Much respect 🙏- Kenny
Now you're finally back to making the kind of videos I really enjoy watching and learning from. Your minimalistic fine art images are what inspire me most. The boat by itself is a fantastic image. Chest waders do definitely come in handy in instances like you ran into in this video.
Another great video Gary. Great location with loads of potential. Fantastic image's and a hell of a lot of work to get them that way. That's why you are the master. Look forward to the next one as usual.
As always a fantastic informative video and cracking images. Love the 3rd image as its different. Would definitely not have seen that shot. Looking g forward to next week.
Interesting video - I know that spot and that boat well but never thought of clearing out the background clutter in post like you did - nice. The high tides there can vary by a metre or so depending on the time of the month - looks like you picked a super high one 😅. Love the bench shot.
Just Beautiful. I think it’s time for me to really try and understand photoshop. I just love this fine art photography, bravo 👏 Gary outstanding, cheers from Canada 🇨🇦👋
Loved the video Gary, gave me a new bit of inspiration for my upcoming trip to Pin Mill this summer. I loved your post-processing demo of the little boat, but couldn't get all the details cause fast forwarded the video. Isn't it possible to make a postprocessing video for the member area of your channel? Keep up the good work Gary😀👌
I think the image combined with icm image worked really well. The blurry image adds a different dimension to it. I've never seen it done before but I love it, must try it sometime.
I am amazed by your editing skills, need to develop mine. Tried a floating boat photo not realising how much the eye doesn’t see the slight movement on the tide. Going to give it another go now, thank you.😊
Just found your channel and if this video is typical, I'll be back for more. I'd love to learn more about your editing techniques is PS. Many thanks, D
Monumentally inspiring video. The amount of post edit is amazing but very nicely done. Regarding the flooding tide I have found similar discrepancies in the timing and now I add at least an hour before the predicted timing of the tide (i.e. arrive an hour earlier). The old boat is beautiful. I'm off to the Lake District tomorrow (meeting up with Mali 😀)and this has given me some ideas. Thanks.
Hi Garry great video as always, couldn’t adjust cut the items out you want rather than that millennia of work you have to do and then just put the background back in a different background that looks the same. I wouldn’t have the patience for that because that’s taken hours but it does look nice in the end.
The answer is yes, it would have been much easier and quicker 😁😁 The only issue with that is, it wouldn’t be the original work. It would be like the swapping sky featuring Photoshop. I totally understand what you mean though 😁
Gary, i notice that the cocktail stick is still holding your specs together, surely its not the same one from our skye workshop. Drop in on your way to Glencoe and i will give you a screw to fix it👍👍, PS great vlog.
Absolutely love the fine art boat and I hardly dare ask if you deliberately left it on the right of centre rather than on the right hand third - or am I being too predictable? Thank you for your continued inspiration.
Only been to Pin Mill once myself, and sadly the tide was out. Didn't have to time to wait as we were moving on to further up the coast. I see you had the same problem in that the mud there just sucks your wellies in and it becomes difficult to extricate oneself
Gary, there's only one way to describe this type of photography F antastic I mage N icely E xposed A nd R adical T ransformed Absolutely brilliant, can't wait for more 😊😊😊
"getting it right in camera" is actually for novices, here's the proof, lol.. Great vision, planning and execution Gary, no wonder you've had such success as a wedding photographer too, you can make everything look how you or importantly the client wants! This will be another great series!
Man, Gary. Imagine if you could take a few blocks out to that boat again, and somehow get that anchor up a foot or two so that more of it was above the water for the photo. 🤔⚓
Gary, really enjoyed your work with superb final images.. What I didn't like though was you recording a video whilst driving! as bad as phoning which as you well know is illegal .
Interesting images, but too much about software as opposed to the skill of the photographer. I'm not knocking it, but I'm much more driven to what I can capture in camera rather than leaning on software. Each to their own, and each approach has its merits.
Nice to have you visit my neck of the woods, Gary. Sorry to be a pedant but the proof is not in the pudding; the saying you are looking for is 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating'. I love your photography, even if you do mangle the English language.
While I can appreciate what your trying to achieve, I have to as is it actually photography? I admire your work in general but on this occasion it's not for me sorry Gary
That’s fair enough, but… Fine art landscape photography is a form of artistic interpretation. It’s about seeing the landscape not just as it is, but as a canvas for personal expression. Photographers use their unique perspectives to compose images that convey mood, atmosphere, and a sense of place.
Fantastic work Gary. Your editing skills are amazing. The boat on its own was stunning 👍😊
Cheers Paul 👍
No one does fine art better! Thanks for taking me along!
Fab photos. Awesome editing. Have you ever made a video on how you did that processing please?
I have Gary... All the info here... garygough.co.uk/members-only
Thank you I will have a look.
Thought provoking… I always come away with a different perspective, literally!
Cheers 👍
WOW !!!! Brilliant vision and editing
Cheers Patrick 👍
Flipping marvellous….. vision, technique and result …. Just magic thanks Gary 😂

Excellent Gary and that’s more like it 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

They're all awesome, my favorite is the last image absolutely stunning.👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Loved seeing the planning and scouting process to get the shots, can't wait to see how the final images turn out when combining different exposures.
As always a fantastic informative video and cracking images. Love the 3rd image as its different. Would definitely not have seen that shot. Looking g forward to next week.

Truly magical work really beautiful fine art images amazing editing love how you are able to clean up the surroundings.
Cheers 👍👍
Creative genius Gary absolutely loved this video thank you ❤
Cheers Andy 👍👍
Love Pin Mill. I really enjoyed this video and the thought process you shared. can't wait for next weeks now lol.
I think the pano is my favorite of you fine art images. There is one other shipwreck too, but that one is so awesome.
They're in next weeks episode 👍👍
That post work is amazing Gary. Genius. 👍📸
Cheers 👍👍
Lovely images, Gary. I wondered about the last image with the background in black and white but with colour in the foreground.
Cheers Brian 👍👍
Stunning processing Gary, you are the master at this type of image. Thanks for sharing.
Just one word Gary "Great". Congratilations.
Cheers 👍👍
Love this Gary. Thanks for
My pleasure
Thnx Gary for another entertaining video! At the beginning I was just wondering about the little antenna on your glasses ;-)
regards
Yo
lol. It’s actually a cocktail stick. My glasses broke and it was a quick fix 😁😁
Another superb video Gary. It really is a great location and next time I am down there I will certainly try to spend a bit more time there.
Cheers Steve, I think you’ll like part 2 even better. Should be out next week 👍
Simply Amazing Mr Gough...
Cheers Gordon 👍👍

Cheers Simon 👍👍

I've never seen it before either. I just thought it might work so I gave it a go :)

lol it sure is. I’m home now so I’ll sort it 😂😂
Take a picture(s) and make a photograph? I guess the reverse is true too. Nice, more complicated than I thought.
Thanks 👍
Gary you must be related to Harry Potter an absolute wizard. Brilliant😀
😁 Cheers
superb images ..that post processing is like a science Einstein ;)
Great work!

Great video!!! I would like to ask you for advice: the most beautiful area of the Isle of Skye for seascapes? Thanks
Elgol is cracking. Go there for high tide and sunset if poss 👍👍
"getting it right in camera" is actually for novices, here's the proof, lol.. Great vision, planning and execution Gary, no wonder you've had such success as a wedding photographer too, you can make everything look how you or importantly the client wants! This will be another great series!
I think you'll definitely like my next video ;)
Have you tried Tollesbury Gary, an area called The Hard has some wonderful sail lofts and gets flooded every day
Loved that last image. quick question if you don't mind, I need to get some new wellies, what make are yours and would you recommend them?
Hi, Gary have you ever thought of coming down to Portsmouth area the Solent, lots of potential on the coast here.
Man, Gary. Imagine if you could take a few blocks out to that boat again, and somehow get that anchor up a foot or two so that more of it was above the water for the photo. 🤔⚓
We looked at the anchor but as you said, it was just too low in the water. Cheers
Awesome! whats this technique called to remove stuff in the background?
It's be like seeing into a never ending vastness, you should keep a faint horizon line but slightly bow it to stir up the flat earthers 😂
You are a magician
Cheers xx
Mad photography and post-production skills! Wonderful! Thanks for sharing👍🏻
Where can i learn this kind of editing.? I loooovvveee it ❤❤❤

I must visit Pinmill. Its around 1.5hrs from me.
Gary, really enjoyed your work with superb final images.. What I didn't like though was you recording a video whilst driving! as bad as phoning which as you well know is illegal .
Point taken, although, phoning from a car isn’t illegal. It’s all hands free. 👍👍
@@GaryGough Agreed, but you did keep looking at the video camera

Possibly so David :) Cheers
Time to invest in fishermans chest waders.
Absolutely :)
Photography or computer graphics?
Fair argument 👍
Wow work. But the background music while post production was very annoying. Would have preferred a soft music. Keep inspiring Gary.
Noted
Why take an image only to erase most of it? Awesome looking results but the image isn't real. I'm conflicted.
It’s so you can make something of nothing. Plus, I think the final result looks pretty decent. I get even more creative next week, just a heads up.
@@GaryGough O.K. I.m starting to see the point now. I like the idea behind it. I
'll check out next weeks video . Thank you.
Oops! That should obviously be "left of centre".
Put me down for this having way more to do with your PS ability than it does for photography. Fine Art Photoshop Challenge.
While I can appreciate what your trying to achieve, I have to as is it actually photography? I admire your work in general but on this occasion it's not for me sorry Gary
In my opinion this is not photography, sorry.
