@@marksinthehouse1968 Hi Mark. That belongs to a friend who I did an interview with whjich I'll be posting on here in the next few months, but yes, it's a lovely bus. I believe one of the K types survived from the films and maybe a Lodekka from the series.
Nice one. I'd normally have been there but a family wedding in Cambridge prevented me this year! Nice to see the DMS and the gold LT jubilee Titan took me back! I did see that old Crosville Bristol waiting to board the ferry at East Cowes as I arrived back lovely old thing👍
As an ex London Transport Routemaster, Titan and MCW driver and Wilts & Dorset Bristol Lodekka, VR, RE, LH, Leyland National, Olympian and ex LT DMS driver I'd love to be able to drive there. I've also driven an ex Bournemouth Corporation 1933 Leyland Tiger and a Fleetline. You mentioned the RE - my favourite bus at W&D to drive and the sound reminded me of the Royal Blue coaches we used to catch to Bournemouth in the 60s. We changed from Black & White to Royal Blue at Cheltenham or Oxford. Happy days 😊
@@JakeSCOC Seriously contemplating downsizing and a move to the I.o.W. Bournemouth has gone so downhill over the past several years. I was told that the I.o.W. has more of a relaxed 60s vibe. Also like to be closer to nature and the wonderful red squirrels. Never seen one in my 63 years except in Vynittsya Ukraine. Didn't even spot one on Brownsea.
@@JakeSCOC Yup, which is why I'd like a garden near woods too. Nice to have some birds visit as well. Never seen a thrush in Bournemouth in almost 40 years and hardly had a single bird in the garden this year apart from a couple of flying rats - pigeons.
Great video, thanks for posting. I like your style in filming a variety of buses rather than showing a bus ride as other vloggers have done. I don't tend to travel much at weekends (I no longer have to!) so thanks for posting out that you can see the visiting buses out and about on the Island the week beforehand, that would be ideal for me to plan a midweek break. Presumably if you're lucky you can see them in the ferries too!
@@sueweston502 Glad you liked it. I normally do ride on a few buses but this year I enjoyed just watching them go past and filming them. Yes the buses are out and about most of the week before. You never know where, what and when you'll encounter them! And if you are lucky you can see the buses on the ferries
That looks to be a great museum, is there a reason why the don't charge an entry fee? Like you said five quid would be cheap, is there any chance of driving a bus? Thanks for sharing this great museum, best regards from a Kiwi living in Melbourne Australia, Les
@@lesthiele4921 I think the general synopsis is get people through the doors and hope they'll buy from the cafe or shop. There's a few museums like it. If you're a volunteer you can apply to drive a bus but not as a member of general public. Glad you enjoyed it Les 👍🏼
Thanks again, for a great video.
Passed by Bus Test a month ago together with my CPC. I would love to drive some of the oldies!
@@TheNikvansta You're welcome. Will have to volunteer for with the museum.
Another quality video 👍👍👍
Yes that museum would be worth a fiver of anybody's money...
Thanks Craig
The DMS with yellow blinds looked great ,Jake did any bus that was in on the buses film or Tv survive in preservation
Many thanks
Mark 😊😊

RE is a brilliant bus. Knocks the socks off the National in my opinion.
