Thanks much for posting this. The flasher operates for both left and right turn signals so you would tend to think it would function for both or not all. My Firebird TA had the same issue as yours except my right signal stayed lit. I had tried everything else and finally put in a new flasher and now all good.
I just started working on my 83 firebird brought a yr ago my signals wasn't working I found a few bad bulbs and one side stop working as I fixed one I'm gonna put in 2 more new bulbs in the back and I'm gonna see if everything works....
Having the same issue... Third Gen 89' Firebird Formula 350 Front turn signal..Changed the bulb, just to be sure because it worked fine.. Was the correct double filament bulb. And was replaced with the correct double filament bulb..Light STILL stays solid on when "signal flashing" lever is engaged..Driver side fender bulb completely out, HOPING THAT IS THE PROBLEM???..Does not light up for parking light, same solid left light indicator on the dash..Can't find how to replace drivers side FENDER turn signal bulb..Still have to get under the car..Any help is appreciated. Definitely going to try this. I just changed the blub and it didn't wotk.
Finally, I couldn't find a video on this issue. Only difference I'm having is my back left light is out

When I use my left turn signal it turns on 4 way flashers, I ordered a new relay (small black box different from your flasher part) will this fix it?

does that relay work the left and a right signal?
