    Poor Aga...can’t even win against a player she owned for all 14 straight sets they played. She’ll be unseeded at the us open and soon will have to even play qualies. After being so good for a decade and always being top 10, looks like she’s done. It’s sad, as a fan I don’t even want to watch her like this. Maybe it’s time to retire and have a family. :(

      MovieFan4Life she lacks thepower

      But what's the problem with her? She is only 29... It's like she is not training much recently right? or she is not into this anymore...

      It’s confusing....about ten years ago 30 was so old in Tennis and hardly any pros won or played after 30. I can’t tell if she’s just not motivated or if she’s just just her confidence. It all started when she switched to the crappy srixon racquet and then she got married, got sick and had a bunch of injuries. For her defensive style of play, her body may be breaking down too much. If her fall sucks, I would be surprised if someone as good as her keeps going.

      MovieFan4Life- Yeah, now that you mention it, you are right: Cljisters retired with 29, Sánchez Vicario with 31, Steffi Graf with 30... But now it is fashionable to play as long as you can, not only in tennis, but in other sports like football (soccer). Look at Kerber; she just won her third GS title with 30 years.
      So the age is not an excuse... Well maybe for the long rallies. She should change her game. Evolve. She should find motivation again.

      That’s because the tour was much stronger ten years or so ago, the Williams sisters, Henin, Clijsters, Davenport, Capriati, Hingis, Mauresmo, Dementieva, ...etc. It started to go downhill during the late 2000s and in the early 2010s there’s a stretch of two years where the Grand Slam finals were contested by players who are over 25 yo, many of them only reach a GS finals for the first time and some even won it. I just think there are a lot of “good” players in the WTA tour currently but there hasn’t been any *great* player in the last ten years or so

    The problem with aga is that ahe didn't try to change or elevate her game in the last 4 years or so. She just sticks to pushing her opponents and being defensive. She's one of the players who has a lot of variety but didn't utilize it as much. Putting the ball back in play and not attacking takes a toll on your body and that is happening right now

    No idea how Pliskova couldn't win a set against Aga before 😕

    • @moviefan4life166
      @moviefan4life166 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Aga crushes her in all those matches with ease. Aga just will literally lose to anyone holding a racquet now. Pliskova is a bad mover and Aga has too much variety and court speed.

    • @sciappi74

      rachray83 Radwanska used to play much better than now. In the last two years she had many physical problems. She's much slower and less responsive than she used to be. Aga played good enough but not enough. It was obvious Aga didn't move as quickly as she used to. That was not the same Radwanska Pliskova fought against in the past.
      Aga still has a brilliant touch but no more speed

      It was mostly mental. Pliskova went onto the court expecting to lose.
