Nice explanation. I recently gave it a shot. I was hesitant because I thought it was too mechanical and would ruin my touch and feel for distance control. After a few days I was pleased to find that it did not hinder my feel for distance control because it actually makes controlling my rhythm much easier and good rhythm is my key to distance control. As a bonus, I found that this method makes straight back straight through putting so much easier. Line on the ball rolls straight now much more often😊
I have had a armlock for over a year now, but after I saw this video yesterday I tried rotating my arms to the end of range of motion and it is absolutely overpowered. It feels so extremely stable like that, I was nervous for some putts but I felt like I almost couldn’t miss. Great video and thanks for the tips!
everyone uses the same angle of 80 degrees. Adjust the length of the putter to reach your elbow bone, but not higher (illegal to go above elbow) Buy a putting mirror, and learn your proper distance and stance over the ball. USE the line on the ball and TRUST the line.
It’s gonna be interesting to follow. The arm lock has been fairly popular ever since they banned the belly putter. And now with Bryson’s win, I’m sure many Pros and Amateurs will give it a try.

Bryson also locks his arms to his torso and merely rotates his torso up and down for least possible unnecessary motion.
