I still have a decent amount of friends but stuttering has really makes my confidence drop. Sometimes, I see a 12 yr old in a man’s body. He got through high school, without a glitch. Good grades, never got in trouble. And yet he sat by himself, everyday at lunch, for 4 years.

  • @mattyoutubes
    @mattyoutubes 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    All this stuff is just things that just make you think even more about the process of talking, which is the last thing you should be thinking about. You need to learn how to focus your attention 100% on the topic of conversation and the thought you are trying to express, and you need repeated practice with talking normally like that to overwrite your habit of non-fluent speech. You need to learn how to forget the process of producing words. This is how a "normal" person talks. When you want to walk to another room, you don't think about moving each muscle in your legs as you take each step - you just think about where you want to go then you walk there. It should be this way with speaking as well, but we're in the bad habit of talking consciously rather than subconsciously. Also, look into reducing dopamine in your life. It seems many stutterers have more trouble talking when there has recently been an influx of dopamine in their brain for whatever reasons. I'm not a doctor so DYOR.

      @@cjay7740Imagine what he says is absolutely true.Frankly speaking anticipation plays a very pivotal role in development and prolongation of stammering.Fluent speakers don't plan their words.

    The only reason I’m bad at talking is because I have really bad nasal problems and my teeth look like a 5 year olds and I need braces really bad and just imagine talking with your nose closed that’s how I feel and I also have 12 cats and 5 dogs so it makes it worse.

      We don’t give up, we keep trying. Stuttering sucks trust me I know but we owe it to ourselves to keep trying until we find a system that works for us. Keep your head up.

      Keep your head up. I learned just to still be yourself and you can still be the man. I have a lot of friends and have always been kind of popular bro. So just do you. Try to talk smooth and calm and smile when you talk. Confidence beats stuttering !!
      Still remember stuttering is apart of you, so if it happens just keep flowing.
