My mom was actually one of the Poway high school librarians when Bobby Lee went there, she always said that he was super polite…. and now I know why.
As an Asian woman who grew up in Cali in the 80’s, Bobby’s high school look was what the cute Asian boys looked like. Usually they were dancers, djs, or drove the nicest cars. Some were wannabe gangsters. LOL

I went to the high school close to Poway. So a bunch of my friends went to Poway. The wrestling system they have there is SUPER serious and competitive, and there are in fact no photos of Bobby anywhere on campus, especially notable alumni 😂

I'm sorry, because that must have been really upsetting at the time...but that god damn yearbook story is a STORY I would tell for my entire life because in hindsight it's so funny. I'm glad one of the fans were able to track down this yearbook because I would print this out and use it as a visual aid anytime I told this story.
I wrestled for Mira Mesa High School back in the day and had to wrestle a kid with downs. I'm pretty sure he was from Poway.

I wonder if Bobby knows the kid who got paralyzed in a freshman football game in 1987. I was playing for Vista. It was raining sheets on the Poway high field. Kid on my team a real headbuster named Joe Hernandez folded this kid up and I saw his neck snap. And Poway had real good wrestling. Maybe best in San Diego.

I did wrestling my junior year as well and if it wasn't everything to u the coaches hated u I hurt my knee bc a 260 lbs kid fell on it and when I came back same kid fucking fell on it when I mention it to them cause u know I couldn't walk I just got yelled at bc I was gone a week so I just stuck out practice I was just jv with only 2 matches so I wasn't some Trump card or even I'm the main events that counted. Could be wrong but some ppl take it way too seriously

High school has not changed one bit. If anything it gotten worse. I have a teenager so I know. They’ve made math so ridiculous and rewritten how you do the work that it’s impossible for almost everyone including adults. Even if you know the answer it’s still not correct. School hasn’t changed other than that in a 100 years. Think about it. She never knows what she’s talking about. Must be some rich school she over heard someone speaking of.
Yea idk what khalyla was talking about. I graduated in ‘19 and my school barely honored their 504 sheets and suspended kids who couldn’t learn the ‘correct’ way
