  • This is a step by step instructional video on performing seasonal maintenance on a Kawasaki Two-Cylinder lawn mower engine. You will see the oil filter changed, the spark plugs removed, gapped and replaced. The fuel and air filters replaced. Watch it start right up!

Thanks for such a detailed walkthrough of all of this! I'm a first-time zero-turn owner and this was very helpful during my first full maintenance

There are about a million ways to bust your knuckles working on a mower. Lol
I changed oil and filter a couple weeks ago on my RZT50 with 22hp Kawasaki.. the oil drain hose has a built in drain valve rather than a plug..

Nice job. Just a couple things. 1, still need to lube the front wheels and blade spindles (if your model has spindle lube points). 2, I own a newer version of the RZT-L and Cub Cadet still hasn't done a better design with the oil filter and spark plug locations. They still suck. And, 3, if you turn the quart oil container over the other way it will not "glug" like yours did. The container is designed to be poured the other way.

That hole on your gap gauge is for opening or closing the gap of the plug.
