/ @ajrestoration Ladies and gentlemen, I found this rusted motor at the scrapyard, it looked extremely sad so it came back home with me.
It still had good compression but the carb was leaking fuel like a sieve.
It also smoked a little but this could be because there was oil in the cyllinder due to the motor laying sideways as it was in the scrapyard.

Hardly what I'd call a 'restoration'. It's obvious that it was involved in a fire of some sort. You should have changed the rings, rod bearing and done the valves. Nice paint job though.

Where on the cylinder is the crack? I am not sure you can try and see?
@@AJRestoration its just underneath the part of measuring the oil level.its a pretty slight about 5cm crack.well i had no choice but to use an epoxy on coz got tired ov replacing parts.i did put some actually yesterday..havenot turned on yet.but just kept curious if it will work.thx
Nice restoration but I have a question, how in the world do you keep up with all those parts?
Good question! Because somehow I have 2 spare bolts, and I have NO idea where it is supposed to go! When I first started the motor, I just closed my eyes and it fired up first pull, and it turned out it didn't need the 2 missing bolts 🤔
Also, when I get confused I just look at footage of the disassembly... And that is almost every time haha.

If I am working with chinery such as a lathe or milling machine I would understand. But for what I am doing a ring will do no harm. I do take it off in the newer videos tho. Thank you for the tip though, safety is number 1.

It has been forbidden to wear jewelry (offshore Norway) for the last 25.
