Is there a way to discharge the flash from the XPro transmitter? It seems like a pain to have to press the discharge button each time we change the aperture on the camera.
Hi Craig, I find your video to be too advanced for me to follow. Do you have something simpler to watch to learn how to use the light and the controls. I just bought it. Also pocket wizards won't work with it correct? I also have Dynalites and wan't to use all of them together. Can I do that and be able to control them all individually? Thank you!
I like to boom my light overhead sometimes and have it facing down. It looks like there is an umbrella mount but it is compression fit instead of screw fit. Is it strong enough to hold a 7' umbrella' s weight in that position or do you find it too weak for that kind of setup?
There is no screw to tighten. It’s spring loaded and designed to release the umbrella in windy conditions. I would stick with the more secure Bowen’s mount modifiers.
Questtion: when the colors accuracy mode is on in low light situations, it tends to miss fire at full power. Just wondering why it does that or rather there is a particular setting to prevent that. Thank you, love your vids BTW.
I have the same Nikon friendly trigger that you use in this tutorial and the two AA batteries last only minutes before running down. Is there a better setting for battery life or do you think this is a malfunction? I am using your same demonstrated settings for high speed sync, TTL, modeling light off.
Craig - when my remote - R2Pro-is in TTL and I change a setting it is not reflected on the 600Pro dsplay but the output of the flash does increase or decreace according to what I dial in on the remote. Is that normal. When I shoot in Manual the changes I make on the remote are directly reflected on the 600.Thanks!
I had the same question and finally was able to contact support. They pointed out that this is normal. If you change the exposure compensation on the remote it doesn't change the display on the strobe, but it does in fact change the exposure. The reason they gave me is that Exposure Compensation in TTL is actually communicated via the camera.
You don’t need to press the high speed sync button on remote to turn on high speed sync. It’ll sense when you pass your max speed and it’ll turn on high speed sync automatically. At least it works like so on my Sony camera. Also, the TCM button can convert a TTL exposure to manual. ☺️
On my Nikon D850 you have to physically enable the high speed sync button... It must depend on the system you are using. Thanks for the Sony tip... Yes, I forgot to mention the TCM trick.
Great video! Im having trouble with setting up ad600 pro and sony hvl f60rm for off camera flash. I am using the godox X1RS with the godox XproS TTL transmitter for sony camera. I cant seem to get both working at the same time when pressing shutter. TIA.
Hi My ad600 pro arrived today and I'm so excited to shot in high speed mode but I noticed i can't shot more than 1/256 in my sony a7riii even though hss is on on flash and on my xpro s.what Setting should I change? What should I do? Pls respond
Thanks for this video, great run down of the light. You mention that the colour mode can not be used with HSS. I also heard that in colour mode, the T0.1 flash duration changes. Is this the case? I know the light helpfully displays the T1 time for each power setting (and that it’s actually a fairly accurate estimate), so does this info get updated in colour mode? Thanks!
Craig Beckta if my battery runs out can i plug it in directly and it works??? also how long does the battery last if the modelling light is turned on???
Hi! Please suggest what I have to do. Yesterday I bought the Godox system: AD600pro and Xpro-S. Main goal - to use as outdoor flash with HSS. I use Sony A7 R 3. And when I installed and switched on all my equipment (sony a7R3+ xpros+ad600pro), turned on HSS mode on xpros and AD600 PRO I FOUND THAT IT WORKS GOOD IN TTL MODE BUT IF I TRIED TO SWITCH INTO MANUAL MODE - THE FLASH IS WORKED FIRST TIME, AND THAN, IT'S NOT WORKING IF I MAKING A PHOTO. THE SAME SITUATION WITH MANUAL MODE WITHOUT HSS. I tried to use didderent channels, groups, Ids but situation is the same. In manual mode flash is not working every time. WHAT DO I WRONG?
Hello. I have a question. So I just bout the Flashpoint Xplor Pro TTL and the Flashpoint R2 Pro Mark II Transmitter. I went to do an outdoor photoshoot yesterday and every time I pressed the shutter it had a 2 second delay before the camera took the picture and flash went off. Do you happen to know how I can fix that?
Thank you for this. You're instructions are slow and easy to understand
Glad it was helpful!
Just got mine at my local camera store, I used it without a soft box . Pics came out alright I can’t wait when it comes in
Thanks Greg. Could you show how to use this with an umbrella/ softbox? I have a hard time figuring that out for some reason.
Thanks so much for making this tutorial - Awesome !!!
Absolutely helpful video
Glad you think so!
Great video/info thank you very much
Nice video, helped me out. Thanks!

you should talk about the umbrella mount with no screw!

What about the Godox AD-1200 1200W Portable Flash Head for it?
I only have the Godox Ad 600 Pro at the moment.

Helpful primer on this unit. Thanks!

Sorry, but I do not know. Check with Godox support.
I have a Canon 7D MK II what else would I need to trigger it?
A canon trigger
Great information. I would have done a lot of things wrong if I hadn't watched your video.
Can I fire in burst mode (multi) with high shutterspeed like above 250?
Craig Beckta if my battery runs out can i plug it in directly and it works??? also how long does the battery last if the modelling light is turned on???
You can buy external AC adapter for it .
which model would you answer me? For outdoor? Ad600 pro / ad600 bm
Ad 600 Pro.
The ad600 bm can be double up with a godox special cable to provide 1200ws. This cable isn't available yet for the Ad600pro.
