FLDigi (Waterfall Height), (Pass Band), (Store) button operations and DTR options for practicing without transmitting.
This video shows some of the new things I am learning with FLDigi, the waterfall height can be adjusted in pixels, the modes can be changed by using mouse wheel in box in lower left corner for changing modes and throughput and preset band pass settings. The band pass can also be adjusted to listening preferences. I also show my Silicone Labs settings for both Com ports and how the software uses Com4 to transmit theFT991A radio.
The CW keyline that uses Com4 and be set to None, this will allow you to interact with the FLDigi software and never transmit on the air. This allows you to be able to practice typing code, playing that code, and recording it and any speed you want.
In the box in the lower left corner there is another box just to right in the video I had this set to 18 which is 18 WPD, you can use the right and left arrow keys to adjust your transmit speed.
There may be a way to have the code from your straight key show up on the FLDigi screen, but I haven’t been able to figure that out.
