    do we consider using algae as absorbent of nitrate? and creating food to the frys?

  • @myway148

    Salicornia should work in these systems to reduce the Nitrate levels. Salicornia is a genus of succulent, halophyte (salt tolerant) flowering plants in the family Amaranthaceae that grow in salt marshes, on beaches, and among mangroves. Salicornia species are native to North America, Europe, South Africa, and South Asia. Common names for the genus include glasswort, pickleweed, picklegrass, and marsh samphire; these common names are also used for some species not in Salicornia.[1] To French speakers in Atlantic Canada, they are known, colloquially, as "titines de souris" (mouse tits). The main European species is often eaten, called marsh samphire in Britain, and the main North American species is occasionally sold in grocery stores or appears on restaurant menus, usually as 'sea beans' or samphire greens or sea asparagus .

    • @Atanjeo1
      @Atanjeo1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats right. Salicornia is very tolerant. In Europe it's also calles sea asparagus and fresh products are sold with high prices to better restaurants or at the market.

    Already very late (4 years) but the sodium filled nitrate can be used in the glass manufacturing. sodium nitrate is used there to improve the optical properties and lower the glasses melting point, it can also be used as a reducing agent to prevent the oxidation of certain components during glass masking... but you would have to remove the water content from it 🙂 which is expensive (either through evaporation with the sun which is free, OR through electrical heating....)

    Cant you use high demanding nitrogen consuming plants to level off nitrite?
    Would a sump filtration system work better?
    Can this be started smaller and expanded?
    Is there loans or grants to get started

    Great presentation,
    Regarding the anaerobic denitrification process,
    I had an idea to use the sand filter assembly using the cleaned and spent activated carbon and feeding it with water from the system allowing a slow and efficient water treatment.
    Any inputs?

    Could this be run in an abandoned mine with solar panels supplying the power ? Do they require sunlight? How much research have you done on turning the by products into profit? Reclaim the amon. to sell? Can the salt be extracted from the biomass so it could be used as organic fertilizer?

    How about Algae to fuel?
    Algenol has a breed of algae which consumes the nitrates/CO2 and produces fuel and fresh water.

    The shrimp prices is not high now and the feed cost is getting higher. For Vannamei shirmp, the profit come from the volume, unlike Tiger shrimp.
    If you have the small place with all that equitment require electricity, I am not sure it can make money to sustain your harvest. not to mention it can fail.

      So, i have had a hard time trying tk understand the formula to create the biofloc. I have seen some chinese videos but they but like eggs, bannana, yest, pinaple and probiotics, blend everything then put in the water, but im asking myself if thats legit and would work for the shrimps. Another thing is that the nursery for the PL 10. What is the condition for them? And ehat do i feed the shirmps?

    • @akb3656
      @akb3656 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@blessedautogroup5675 Biofloc is a conglomerate of bactaria responsible for natural purification of water through bacterial assimilation of toxic ammonia. So fish gets fresh water along with protein rich floc which is eaten there by reducing fcr.
