Kagiso Extension 6, Krugersdorp | One of the oldest Black townships in SA

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT KAGISO
1. In the past year Kagiso township was in the news because of the violence of the Zama Zama illegal miners which took lives away, even though the name Kagiso means peace.
2. Coronation Park, an all white squatter settlement in Krugersdorp, was an anomaly in South Africa. Some people termed it reverse apartheid because the white inhabitants were so poor.
3. Munsieville, a black township where white people from Coronation Park were moved to live peacefully with Black people to this day.
