As a fellow Najeela pilot (currently playing layered turbo) I think the deck's strongest suit is the ability to pivot in to multiple different win cons or lines of play. If you have turn 1 Najeela and a way to tutor for a win con/value engine, then it's obvious that you should work around that win con. But if you're opening just a lot of mana and no way to tutor for such, then it mkaes sense to pivot to an Ad Naus line since you'll have enough mana to cast it early and or tutor for it, which would theoretically be a faster win than going for a commander centric win.

The editing on this is super slick. Looking forward to more in the series!

Cool video! I just recently got into cEDH with yuriko, I'd love to see a video for her.

Thank you! Just finished up one for tivit coming out Friday but I've had a lot of votes for yuriko!

I’ve loved najeela for so long, made my cedh version about half a year ago, the combat combos are really east and I love just being able to have breach lines as well as meme bet in the side, and a couple stax pieces that I can throw out too

I was just talking to my LGS last night about hosting a cEDH tournament. I am down for more videos like this in the future. Sharing this.

Now that I've got a template for the writing and card graphics and stuff it should be easy for me to make 3-5 more over the next couple weeks :)! Thanks for watching, and please share with anyone who might enjoy it!

I was actually just talking to Gtoast99, one of the Godo DDB list people that I really wanted to sit down with him and talk about the new lines in the deck, this would be a good opportunity for that

@@ModAnonMTG Absolutely, Godo as a commander are talked about in terms of respect. At the same time, they have been forgotten about because of the new shiny stuffs.
I also intentionally didn't add Yuriko. Despite the fact that she is the only deck I own in paper. IMO she plays far far too many "bad cards" albiet very unique to the format.

@njstidum yeah Yuriko is a sweet deck but I don't think it has a lot of transferable skills like some of those other decks do

Definitely a great deck for people moving from EDH to cEDH since it's creature focused and wins through "combat"

Personally I think 5 color commander's in cedh is one of the hardest to pilot. Not sure it's the best option for beginners but a great deck nonetheless. Decks like winota, yuriko, godo is good for beginners

    • @ModAnonMTG
      @ModAnonMTG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree that the mana can be a lot more difficult to navigate but I honestly think the play patterns of Najeela are a lot easier to understand at first glance over a deck like Godo for instance that can have a lot of different decision trees in playing the aggressor vs defense, how to pilot for different table textures, and what happens after you get BTFO'd
Najeela by comparison is easier to wrap your brain around: make land drops, cast the pretty lady, she steps on your opponents, they thank you for it, maybe you accidentally Thoracle win in between somewhere
But plan to cover most of those decks you've mentioned as well! Appreciate you watching and for your thoughts!

Hey anytime homie. I just mentioned this bc I am currently brewing a najeela and have been playing rogsi for quite some time. Definitely different style play and I found najeela to be a little more difficult to pilot while testing. That very well could be bc I haven't played it nearly enough. Definitely see the thought process you have on the deck for beginners though. Keep making great content!

I think najeela style is very simple. Attack activatee ability attack again.. The most simple way to win...
I am najeela user but more likely to beatdown opponent with multiple battle phase.
