  • The fun part... applying the floor panels. There's been a slight change of plans with the floor panel fabrication. Each panel will be plug welded to the framework of the floor ✅
This is the most basic and easy floor to fabricate and it requires only basic hand tools 🔧

Thank you for all the wonderful hours of teaching and explaining to us less experienced. I’ve become addicted to your videos since having open heart surgery, June of this year, it has helped keep my mind off my recovery and maybe someday fixing up my 1954 Chevy pickup, that’s all in pieces. I better start soon on it, because I’m running out of somedays 😂

Yeah. Don't measure, just eye ball it. Weld it on. Nope, it don't fit. Cut it off. Don't measure, just trim it a little. Weld it back on. Nope, it doesn't fit. Cut it off. Don't measure just trim it a little. Weld it back on. Oh crap, now it's too small. Now I'll have to make a piece to fill in the gap.

I would have no problem with you guys going longer than an hour when you wish to. You could always have us vote on it to see how others feel. Love having Doug's sense of humor it definitely adds to your show. Jolene excellent work as always, you do such a great job on the videos and content. When you go to a car show, it doesn't take long to figure out who built their car, and who bought it. The person who build it will talk to you forever about how they did something, or the problems they had to make something work. For us that can say built, not bought , doing the build is our art. Yes, we can spend more money , but it really doesn't matter. It's the joy and pride in knowing we did it, and no one has something that is exactly the same.

  • @azraygun

This floor will be stronger than a factory stamped floor. The square tubing provides a lot of strength through skeletal construction. Likely this floor will increase the volume of space inside the interior. Certainly not a restoration level rust repair BUT an awesome, practical, affordable, robust and custom rust repair. Chad is educating 'us fans through his TH-cam videos. Thank you.

Good video. I'm a 30 yrs body man and I did a few old car rebuilds and made sure the customer knew the overall cost, and that they may never recouped the money their throwing into their project. Muscle cars ( mustangs, challengers/chargers, vets and comareos) will carry a higher resale but they have a cap, so do your homework before embarking on a dream.

Chad, Chad, Chad… You have spent a great deal of money on that new storage building filled with countless “collectable” motorcycles and project cars, of which a few may or may not ever get reach completion. Yet, I say yet!!… You continue to use that non-adjustable speed, wire-connected electric drill. Yesterday, we all observed you struggling to drive in those self-tapping screws. You must realize for us highly experienced gearheads watching you, this was a cringeworthy ordeal. Please, do us all a huge favor and buy a decent battery powered “variable speed” drill. Oh, get one or two additional batteries also. The “Reason Being”, you can defiantly afford that reasonable cost. Watching you struggle with that outdated drill is like observing a slow-motion repetitive exercise in futility.
    Thank you for your consideration.
As always, Jolene, congrats for your outstanding camerawork!!
