You would enjoy enjoy "Perennial" live at Wacken or "Judgement and Punishment" one take vocal performance. The Jinjer rabbit hole is very deep and worth your time to investigate.
@@daolman8226 I forgot to mention the drummers cymbals in my comment. I've been a musician since I was a kid and I've primarily been a keyboardist and vocalist since my 20's (which was WAY too long ago!), but I also played drums for many years and took ~8 years of lessons from 6 y/o. Back when I was playing drums, the choices for styles of cymbals was pretty limited and they had a standardized appearance, with the different types varying mainly in size and thickness. There were a couple sizes of ride cymbals (they have the largest diameter and thickness), various sizes of crash cymbals (smaller and thinner than ride cymbals and used intermittently for accents), splash cymbals (basically smaller, thinner crash cymbals), China cymbals (shaped almost like a shallow bowl, with a "pang" sound when hit) and hi-hat cymbals. Those are still the basic types of cymbals that almost every drummer uses, but manufacturers have added more types/styles over the years to produce different tones, effects, pitch and sustain (like Vlad's cymbals with the holes drilled in it and the ones which look like they have dents all over them). The small cup-like cymbals on top that you noticed are Zildjian Zil-Bel cymbals which have a high-pitched quick attack and long delay and Vlad uses them frequently (they produce the distinctive high "ping" sound that you might have noticed). Sorry about the long diatribe about cymbals....that's my ADD and OCD! 😆
Jinjer is so bad ass, each song is totally different in sound and rhythmic quality. Check out Judgement (and Punishment) will totally throw you off. Another group to check out is Spiritbox, a song I recommend is Rule of Nines. Well worth the listen. Another really good group is Unleash the Archers. They are a Canadian group with a female lead that has an amazing voice. A couple of songs I'd suggest are Tonight We Ride, and Awakening Enjoy the ride gentlemen.
This is not a pure live video. The real live performances on the tube are for example Perrenial live at Wacken, Who is Gonna be the One live, Pit of consiousness live at Kiev, Sit Stay and Roll Over live in Melbourne, Captain Clock live resurection. It doesn't matter, they are very impressive, maybe even more. Keep on reaction, thanks. By the way this typical drum set up looks a bit like the one that Keith Moon from The Who used
To see how well Vlad uses his drum set up, react to "Who is gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Records) and from the same concert "Words of Wisdom" (Live, Napalm Records). Good reaction (Subbed)
Some of her arm tats are fish scales (she's a Pisces) and the cymbal you asked about is a Zildjian Custom K Ride. The holes are there to stop the cymbal from sustaining or ringing out, separating them sonically from the normal "washy" sounds of larger cymbals. Vlad's drum setup changes often, sometimes from show to show, so you'll see all kinds of different stuff on his kit depending on the video you're watching. The way his kit is set up is very uncommon for a metal drummer, generally speaking
The smaller cymbal on top of the others is a reverse ice bell or bell splash cymbal turned upside down. It's used for little ting and ding type effects
A reactor that goes by “Drum Roll Tony” clued me in on Vlad’s use of the bell in a reaction to one of their songs. I don’t remember which one but I had listened to the song many times before and never heard it until he drew attention to it. Very cool.
Vlad's kit is unusual for several reasons. He likes a 4 piece but for wallflowers record added a second snare (on the right side). All his drums (except bass) are pitched slightly away from him instead of towards the drummer as traditional. His kit sits very low by comparison (nothing above the chest) to other metal drummers. He uses two or three hi-hats. One standard and one/two remote units. He has multiple bells mounted above his crash cymbals. He is a huge fan of the Zildjian K custom series cymbals so much that he has the logo tattoo'ed on the back of his left arm. Vlad is a classically trained piano player and actually went to university for music. He took up drumming after his previous band (zlam) didn't have a drummer. He also plays guitar. He plays open hand and is right hand dominant (again atypical as most right handed players play closed or crossed hand). He's endorsed by Tama, Zildjian, and Evans.
Those are bells on top of the cymbals. The band writes the music and she adds her vocals on top. Those changes are from the band. Btw, I'm a 55 year old metalhead and gamer from the DOS days. I have 3 generations of gamers in my household. You haven't scratched the surface of Jinjer yet. Have fun on the ride down the rabbit hole.
If you want your faces melted off and your heads to explode lol checkout Sit Stay Rollover and Mediator. They are both a brutal assault on the senses in the best possible way. Two of their most aggressive tracks.
I get what you mean by the "female Marilyn Manson" but I would say more along the lines of Mike Patton. Great band, been listening to them for years and they always find a way to surprise me just when I think I have heard all the tricks in the bag
You need a true live video performance this was taken from different shows with studio audio so Who is gonna be the one live Napalm records and Pit of Consciousness live Kiev are high quality with plenty more

I just saw Jinjer perform live at the House of Blues in Boston last month and they rocked the place!
Nice!!!! That is too awesome.

Oh ok, I couldn't really make em out on the video and thank you for the drum info, I get it now.

It is always fun watching people discover Jinjer - the more you listen the more you get impressed. Enjoy gents, it's fun to share in your journey.
Thank you, they are bad ass!
Judgement and Punishment one take vocal video really shows off her tattoos! Amazing song and video too!

If you look closely you can see that Vlad the drummer is playing this with the drumsticks held backwards.
SHE is Tatiana. THEY are Jinjer. Just so we're clear.
LOL Yea, it took me some time to figure it out lol. Thank you.
