If you drink less than 2-3 cups a day, you won't have any adverse effects to your health though. Unless you have like an anxiety disorder, stomach ulcer or overactive thyroid, it's not gonna harm. Especially, not milky coffee drinks like lattes and cappuccinos since those have a shot of espresso in them which has twice or even thrice as low caffeine content compared to a cup of black brewed coffee.

I did just one gel tab and lost my mind. Never touching it again, but that doesn’t mean I think negatively of it. It was just crazy. Unreal. My room was spinning. I felt the presence of a woman as well as other people. I watched myself live, die, have children, watched the children grow older, and then get reborn all within the span of like 2 minutes. I couldn’t believe how slow time was ticking. It felt like I was experiencing everything there was to possibly experience and it was overwhelming to an extreme degree. Music sounded distorted, I couldn’t comprehend anything or focus on anything to calm me down. I just had to lie down. Occasionally I would get up and move something to a different spot so that I still felt like I was present in the room, if that makes any sense. It was simultaneously the most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced but at the same time the most profound, inexplicably bizarre thing I have ever experienced. It’s made me view life in a completely new way. But I don’t think I’m ever going to do it again because I strongly suspect that I might not come back from it.
Owsley Stanley was the chemist and sound engineer they were talking about. The sound system is called the wall of sound.. Orange Sunshine is monumentally good.. A batch of it was unearthed a few years ago there's more of it out in the world. It's incredible
I was wondering what he meant when he had orange sunshine acid. I know lsd lasts many many years when stored properly but actually having an real batch made by “Bear” in 2023 sounded pretty hard to believe. You believe a batch that was stored has re surfaced recently? Wouldnt it be more plausible that it is simply a sheet that looks like Orange Sunshine made by a current LSD chemist? Also Orange Sunshine itself is an interesting topic as some say it was the best they ever had and some speculated it was actually ALD-52 and not LSD-25. What’s your thoughts or perspective? I’d love to hear more people’s thoughts on this topic. 😊
@@JustAGentlemanZ It's basically good to go well beyond a human life if not multiple generations if it's stored in a cool dark place protected from moisture. It's also not as sensitive as people make it out to be, and it can survive in some pretty harsh conditions for a long time.
@@JustAGentlemanZ There 100% is still LSD that was cooked in the 60's still floating around out there from many of the families that produced. It just has to be stored right(and lilke I mentioned in the other comment, that's not even a hard fast rule). Now people will name drop shit just to sound cool when they have good stuff, but there is legit stuff out there with a story behind it too. Owsley didn't necessarily cook the batch I had-- but it is real from the Brotherhood. He was just one of many chemists that was part of the Brotherhood of Eternal Love, they were a collective. The stuff I have come across wasn't laid on paper, but I'm sure further down the line it has. It's always been liquid or mixed into a powder and pressed into what they called a barrel or a candy. It was very popular on the streets of SF pressed into a candy this way. Do I think it's better? I've eaten a lot of LSD from a lot of sources, and i've taken the same batches of Sunshine both on purpose, and without knowing it-- consistently it's a nicer experience. I wouldn't say it's any more powerful or different besides just being superbly made and very very clean. There's basically no body load at all, which normally the body load can completely make me worthless.

Steve-Os eyes lighting up when Andre says the DMT experience wasn't recreational. Us addicts are always looking for an excuse to go back to our disease.
Not DMT, 5-meo-DMT. DMT can easily be recreational, that's why people smoke it at concerts. 5-meo-DMT, from what I've heard, is just complete destruction. Eviscerates the self beyond nothing. Which isn't fun, needless to say.
That being said NO addict can maintain regular psychedelic use and stay an addict, no matter what psychedelic. Microdosing doesn't count obviously because it's basically less than a cup of coffee. Even the Grateful Dead maintained a distance from tripping once coke and heroin entered the picture. Same with the Beatles. Notorious trippers who couldn't keep it up once addiction was involved.
For sure. Using psychedelics even 3-4 times yearly will force you to confront yourself in profound, honest, painful, and joyful ways - things addicts are trying to run away from. Psychedelics don't let you run from anything. They show you in no uncertain terms that we must approach life with balance, harmony, humility, the will to serve others, honesty and above all - love - if we as individuals wish to actualize the wills of our innate animas and become truly fulfilled human beings, and we as a collective want to not only survive, but thrive in this universe.
Far from being addictive, 5-MeO-DMT can cure addiction. One can’t possibly even begin to understand what this is without experiencing it. The peak expression of a 5-MeO-DMT journey is in my estimation the most powerful, profound and beautiful experience humanly possible. It is medicine for the soul.
4:29 Owsley. Sunshine Blotter and White Lightning. Cooked for the Dead, and supplied Ken Kesey’s San Francisco Acid Tests around 65’. Monterey Pop Festival in 67’ as well. Check out Jimi Hendrix “Live at Monterey ‘67” it’s a phenomenal live record. Jimi was freaked on Owlsley’s molecule.
5MEODMT made me have complete "ego death" which was exactly what Eric was describing. I literally felt like I died and was born again, very theraputic.
People misunderstand weed. The best experience I've had on weed was taking an edible, going to the lake just staring at the sunset listening to music. It's not a party drug or a psychedelic, it's an enhancer. Its effects are really quiet, trees become taller, clouds grow faces, I felt like I was becoming buried in the dirt just sitting on the ground. The bad sides of weed are thinking you can constantly be enhanced and so people do it too much, if you treat weed well it can just be a good companion for a moment elevating you. It's also great for sex lol TLDR I disagree with Eric
for whatever reason I feel like weed is so different for everyone; and really different for the same person even at different times of life and throughout the day
@@heyzeuscreestow9394 no I'm not a stoner at all. I'm literally saying don't do it too much lmao. Eric has anxiety which might be why he has a negative experience. But just generally speaking people do too much and too frequently which ruins the positive effects weed can have. Weed can be addictive like anything else. If you smoke half a joint and you're freaking out because you're hearts beating fast and you're getting paranoid, yeah you did too much. Half a joint is a lot of THC. Edibles are best because you can control your dosage. THC deserves moderation, it's not alcohol where you just go crazy drink a bunch and black out. It's a totally different experience.
I'm on the Spectrum and I noticed after doing Psychedelics for a while my brain became too aware of what they were doing relative to my past experiences. I've had Ego-Death or something similar before on Shrooms when I was 19 I think, and ever since then every "heroic" dose I've taken has been a bad trip (unless I take a shit ton of edibles in conjunction with them). In low doses Psychedelics are wonderful and an experience more people should have access to, but there's a reality to the higher doses, and a commitment that I just don't enjoy anymore. I have too much going in my life now to commit to a drug experience for hours on end.
I'm also on the spectrum. There's a time continuum in my trips. Not sure if it makes sense, but there's another version of me that I only experience while tripping. It feels like something timeless that inhabits my body and only awakens when I trip. I suddenly become aware of a massive stretch of time and experience and vividly remember trips and psychedelic moments that I cannot remember while sober. All of that to say that it's quite intense, spiritual, and weird and a big mental strain. I too steer away from drugs these days because it's just a lot to cope with and life is enough for me.
For me that shit caused me to be in a paranoid state, lazy, cranky and just plain stupid. Why the fuck would I do some shit that makes me feel like that. It's not really surprising people don't like it.

Bear is the name of the guy who made the Grateful Dead acid. The fact that he designed the wall of sound is just icing on the cake. Fun fact: the Steely Dan song Kid Charlemagne is about Bear
Remember that DMT and 5-meo-DMT are not the same. Psilocybin is 4-phosphoryloxy-DMT. But just because it’s got DMT in its name doesn’t mean it’s DMT. DMT is DMT. MDMA has methamphetamine in its full name. But that doesn’t mean it’s meth. This is a very common mistake made.
You can’t compare mdma to methamphetamine. Just because the structure is similar. It’s like saying heavy water h2o2 is almost identical to h2o. Drink a glass of both lol.
It was my 16th birthday the first time I ever took acid. It was two hits of Owsley recipe. I spent 16 hours on my friends floor in the corner of his room watching the walls melt while I listen to music. Everyone I was there with left on a hike, I was way too high to go with them so I stayed. I had the best time ever except when I was trying to pee. It was a struggle and a half. Best birthday ever though.
The legend who made the acid for the Greatfull Dead was none other than Augustus Stanley III also known as The Acid King responsible for making over 5,000,000 doses between 65-67 i believe... There have also been a lot of famous songs with his mention across history. Ive been using Rick and Morty and it is real nice. Moderate to real good just not real crazy crazy.
No. Owlsley is the guy that made Grateful Dead acid, it's documented in The Electric Acid Koolaid Tests. The tests were Grateful Dead concerts where the Merry Pranksters provided Owlsley acid to whoever wanted it. Great book btw.

The Grateful Dead sound system/acid chemist guy was named Owsley "Bear" Stanley. He passed away in 2011. This was interesting to see a relatively calm Eric Andre just talking about drugs hahahaha!! Loved it
I've done every drug so many times I could never possibly count and I have to agree that weed is by far the worst. I've had a few friends over my life that are wired the same way as me where weed just makes you extremely negative about yourself and really uncomfortable in your own skin. I would rather trip extremely hard and just forget that I even exist in the real world. Just built that way.
I would love to see Steveo hanging out with Russell Brand, Duncan Trussel and Hamilton Morris all sitting around talking about their craziest drug experiences.
I agree with acid. I've done it maybe 8 or 9 times, and shrooms maybe 5 or 6 times, and the last time I did them both I was just like "ehhhhh." As soon as it kicked in I already wanted it to be over with, I was just done with psychedelics.
you need to just take a break man, and come back when ur ready if u want bcuz 15 psychedelic experiences isnt enough to get to the point that eric was at
Same. I have a small stash of mushrooms in my room and last time I ate it I didn't enjoy it at all. Been sitting there for months and I have zero desire to eat them. Will probably just give them away.
I don’t like weed. I only smoke a little bit from my stash of moonrock when I’m feeling like shit like during a coke comedown or an illness so I can sleep. But that’s like 1 or 2 times a year lol sometimes none. I just don’t enjoy it recreationally
A lot of people started at a young age, became pot heads then just grew out of it. When your tolerance gets so high that even eating 2,000 MG's does NOTHING for you, then it's no longer fun. Sobering up becomes your new high in life and then after two months of sobriety, a lot of people decide "meh, it's a party, whatever, I'll take a hit" and that one hit will absolutely wreck you. Then a lot of people, like me, realize it's not fun AT ALL, ANYMORE.
Eric saying he doesn’t like weed is interesting to me. I feel like everyone in my social circle smokes all the time, but I stopped six years ago cause it just started not working for me like it used to.
This whole interview feels like when the D.A.R.E. program was brand new and the officers would describe the various highs and how people score drugs and end with, "But Don't do it!"
Some acid can feel dirty, I think it depends on how often you trip because I've also had dark/dirty feeling shroom trips I think it's just sometimes part of the psychedelic experience sometimes. Also maybe depends on the quality of the acid, I'm not a chemist but I know lsd is hard to make, it seems like everyone on the internet says something different about lsd, but no one gives any objective info which is why I might decide to study chemistry to figure it out myself
Psilocybin treatment paired with therapy over 30 days has a 40% reduction in suicidal ideation and depression (anti depressant meds don’t even hit 10% - placebos hit more) Tony Robbins 6 day and night “day with destiny” event had a 100% remission rate for suicidal ideation and a 300% increase in quality of life and purpose. This is according to a 3 year study from Stanford university. 🎉
I did ketamine therapy for treatment resistant depression(didn't work for me unfortunately), but mine was done via an IV infusion, not IM(at least I think he said IM? Later on he seems to say it went "straight in the vein".) And yeah, by my last few doses(I think I did either 5 or 6, but I can't remember how high my dose got) I was truly lost in that shit. I think I got up to 7, possibly 7.5mg/kg by the end Maybe more, I don't know. Or wait, I think it was 0.7-.75mg/kg. Anyways, I didn't even know I was in a doctor's office anymore, nor could I hear/notice when the nurse would come in and stop the infusion(I say hear because on previous "trips"/visits, I would notice a very loud, deep, drawn out "WHOOOOOOSH", almost like a wave, from the door dragging on the carpet when it was opened.) The visuals(mostly closed-eyed because I just felt more comfortable/relaxed with my eyes closed) were pretty intense too, at least for ketamine. However, for some reason my brain always went back to this ever changing huge, blackish green, sort of dank castle/dungeon, often with an enormous snake here or there floating or going up the stairs. It was almost like a cut scene in a 3D video game(like Goldeneye, or Ocarina of Time, or something like that, that sort of shows you where to go, and what's around, but I was the camera and was sort of doing tipsy turvey camera angles. But yeah, I'm with Andre. It was a mostly cool experience, but ketamine has never been a drug I particularly liked(probably because I was addicted to painkillers and then heroin since early high school, so I tended to gravitate towards drugs that actually "cause happiness"(i.e. opiates, cocaine, amphetamines/ecstasy, etc.) I was actually talking to my therapist this week about mushroom and MDMA therapy/treatment. Mushroom therapy(I think?) has been legalized in my state, or at least they approved a bill to study if it is effective, which pretty much everyone says it is. I have sever anxiety nowadays, so I don't think I could do mushrooms again(I can't even smoke weed anymore), but rolling on some nice, pure, pharmaceutical grade MDMA? I could get into that. Lol.
The last time I did a psychedelic was in Cusco, Peru. I bought some mescaline in a marketplace, walked out into the countryside, found an old pre-Incan ruin and laid down for about two hours. I had a few moments of feeling connected to the people who had built the place and was entranced by the golden landscape (seriously, the high Andes look like Rohan), but eventually I felt like I was rehashing psychedelic revelations that I'd already had. I wanted to know what everybody else was up to, so I walked back into the city and found a parade in the central Plaza. I sat and watched the processions for this and that saint and got lost for a while before ending up back in the room I'd rented. C'est...
I mixed shrooms and meth. It was the most intense psychedelic experience of my life, I went to different points in time, I held out my arm and while looking at myself I turned into a kid, and then into an old man. I kept having thought loops, every once in a while I'd snap out of it and feel normal, then slowly lose focus and sink back into the psychedelic world. Honestly not a bad combo, it felt a bit more like an LSD trip than a normal shroom one. If you're experienced with both drugs it's more synergistic than you'd expect
I think it’s best to strongly discourage the use of methamphetamine, for the sake of keeping a drug community safe and with widespread responsible use. Like any other drug, it has its positive effects. But meth really isn’t the kind of thing anyone should just fuck around with.
@@majav15mg idk how ppl do coke and heroine but make meth out to be the devil. In small doses and with plenty of weed for after it can be fun as long as you quit before it starts decimating your body. Imho

People love talking about how great shrooms are, and they definitely can be. However, there’s a complete flip side to Psilocybin that gets neglected. Psilocybin trips can get incredibly scary and dark unexpectedly. Depending how deep you go you can feel completely and utterly lost within your own mind which is a horrific experience. I sometimes see or hear things in every day life that make me flash back a little bit to my heroic trip I did. There’s a very dark and elaborate mental maze within all of us and a high dose psilocybin trip will have you walking through the corridors completely lost.
It's all about dosage, of course heroic trips can be scary sometimes as it is such an overwhelming experience. I gave myself HPPD after a heroic trip, but still do 2-3g's whenever I get some gummies or chocolate and have never had a bad trip since.
In my experience that makes the good trips better. It feels like a actual experience that u made rather then just say serotonin or dopamine being dumped in to ur brain

@@vidgamarr5126yeah that was probably a research chemical and definitely not LSD

Owsley Stanley was the chemist and sound engineer they were talking about. The sound system is called the wall of sound.. Orange Sunshine is monumentally good.. A batch of it was unearthed a few years ago there's more of it out in the world. It's incredible
At first I thought it was Alexander Shulgin

More toward your point though, if you're using psychedelics to get fucked up you'll probably end up hooked on harder drugs BECAUSE of that fact

Wild that Eric is sitting on that Bear dose man that’s a holy grail for acid freaks
It's also great for sex lol TLDR I disagree with Eric
for whatever reason I feel like weed is so different for everyone; and really different for the same person even at different times of life and throughout the day
@@noahclouse1830lmao wtf
Crazy to be such a close minded stoner. People have different experiences one doesn’t have to invalidate the other
@@heyzeuscreestow9394 no I'm not a stoner at all.
This feeling goes away when you smoke everyday, but if you only do it like 2-3 times a month then every time is pretty much like this, at least for me
OWSLEY! Bear OWSLEY! My face almost exploded yelling it at the screen lmaoo
I wish Eric and Sasha Baron Cohen would do a movie together where they would try to “out do” each other

This is according to a 3 year study from Stanford university. 🎉
2cb is the best
I did ketamine therapy for treatment resistant depression(didn't work for me unfortunately), but mine was done via an IV infusion, not IM(at least I think he said IM? Later on he seems to say it went "straight in the vein".) And yeah, by my last few doses(I think I did either 5 or 6, but I can't remember how high my dose got) I was truly lost in that shit. I think I got up to 7, possibly 7.5mg/kg by the end
Maybe more, I don't know. Or wait, I think it was 0.7-.75mg/kg. Anyways, I didn't even know I was in a doctor's office anymore, nor could I hear/notice when the nurse would come in and stop the infusion(I say hear because on previous "trips"/visits, I would notice a very loud, deep, drawn out "WHOOOOOOSH", almost like a wave, from the door dragging on the carpet when it was opened.)
The visuals(mostly closed-eyed because I just felt more comfortable/relaxed with my eyes closed) were pretty intense too, at least for ketamine.
It was a mostly cool experience, but ketamine has never been a drug I particularly liked(probably because I was addicted to painkillers and then heroin since early high school, so I tended to gravitate towards drugs that actually "cause happiness"(i.e. opiates, cocaine, amphetamines/ecstasy, etc.)
I was actually talking to my therapist this week about mushroom and MDMA therapy/treatment.

My guy, you did meth, whatever you THOUGHT about the experience, is definitely not what actually happened.

I think it’s best to strongly discourage the use of methamphetamine, for the sake of keeping a drug community safe and with widespread responsible use. Like any other drug, it has its positive effects. But meth really isn’t the kind of thing anyone should just fuck around with.
