- Ground teams cordon off sites in Zargabad in order to permit clearing teams to insert into them via Littlebird and search for hostages. If you like this stuff, as always, show the love through comments, likes, favorites, subscriptions, etc. Feed the machine. Use AdBlock? Take a look at this: blog.chkilroy.c...
The mission shown is a coop on the Zargabad terrain.
Q: What server am I playing Arma games on, who are these people, and can you join?
A: It's the private server for my community, Shack Tactical. As of 2014 we've been around for eight years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything - we have a fantastic memberbase and it makes for amazing gameplay in Arma and elsewhere. You can read more about us here: www.shacktac.com
Q: What mods does ShackTac use in Arma?
A: I keep a list of them here: dslyecxi.com/sh...
Q: Does ShackTac play mostly coop or mostly PvP/adversarial in Arma?
A: We do a mix of about 70% adversarial and 30% coop - both offer unique experiences and are a blast to play.
Q: How long have you been playing the Arma series?
A: I've been here from the start, with my Operation Flashpoint experience beginning with the demo's release in 2001. I went into the US Marine Corps shortly after (no relation!) and in 2004 I started playing OFP in multiplayer. 2006 saw me found ShackTac, which started in OFP and then transitioned through Arma 1, Arma 2, and finally, Arma 3. I hope to continue this for a long time into the future, as well as share the ride with viewers like you, as corny as that sounds!
Q: What system am I filming all of my Arma and VBS footage on?
A: dslyecxi.com/ab...

Q: I have a question about your channel or content that I haven't seen answered elsewhere - what's the best way to ask it?
A: I maintain a blog where I've answered hundreds of different questions relating to ShackTac, Arma, etc - you can find that here:
blog.dslyecxi.com
I also answer questions in my comments routinely, as I enjoy that aspect of things. If I don't answer, please don't take it personally - there's a lot going on and I can't always get to everything. My channel followers do a good job of answering the more common questions, too, and I thank them for that!

Can't stress enough how enjoyable these intense missions are to watch. Mighty fine flying, Dslyecxi, as always.
25:42
Dslyecxi: "Oh that means Kilroy's dead"
**Sounding pleasantly surprised**
Beagle: "He was the first guy to go down"
Dslyecxi: "Oh that's a shame"
**Almost sounding insincere**
You're evil, man!
Always fun to watch your videos. Sad ending though. One question; when you fly in Arma 2, do you use a joystick and throttle or the mouse and keyboard?
The vids seem to keep getting better.. One thing I notice is that your radio chatter is way more natural and effective than other "realism" vids. You have it distilled down to almost an art form which makes it really fun to watch
The view after you are killed, feels very cinematic cause of how you turn and change angles on camera. I like that.
"Angels" is military slang for "Altitude" when referring to friendly pilots. If someone says "Climbing up at Angels 20", it means "Climbing up at an altitude of 20 thousand feet." When referring to the altitude of an unknown ("bogey") or hostile ("bandit") aircraft, people simply say something like "Engaging Bandit, 1 o'clock high, 20 thousand feet."
In civilian aviation, people refer to "Flight Levels". FL320, for instance, means an altitude of 32 thousand feet.
This has to be THE most badass game ever. I really need to get in a group like this, you guys make ARMA look amazing.
40:35 I love how Beagle looks straight at the camera after saying that.
"I would call this objective complete" *looks at camera smilling* :D
Awesome stuff as always
the building you landed on at 11 had two squads go through it, our humvees pounding at it grenades, and then a attack over by air--we really went overboard throughout the mission, good times.
Best video for a while and a really awesome mission - whoever designed it should be proud.
"Kill or capture the HVT."
"You know what THAT means!"
Priceless.
Man, poor Beagle. That radio comm was heartbreaking and very epic.
One word- EPIC, Big D done it again , I would like to spectate that in real time.
"Angels! Whoop some ass north of.."
Don't know why, but I liked that lol
It almost plays like a movie too :-D
I enjoyed it a lot.
This is such a cool mission, I read and saw the book Black Hawk Down, really reminds me of that mission, insterting the soldiers via Littlebird, you just gained a subscriber :)
That was one hell of a awesome landing at 03:45
Just watched this, amazing. That's awesome. It really shows how awesome the game can be with a group of good players and some casual additions. Awesome Dslyexci!
I can tell whose had military training by the chatter in this video. Whoever fired on the mosque would've been subject to a shit storm... US NAVY FMF 138. This video brings back memories
This group looks more organized and prepared, than armies of some countryes- important thing these days. Have a good one dude.
That was one of the best if not best video i've ever seen on this channel...Great job Dyslecxi!
Your flying skills amaze me every time. It makes me practice and practice.
God I love these. You piloting and Beagle riding with you meant guaranteed awesome video.
Beagle: "Dslyecxi?"
*Sees the corpse*
Beagle: "Aw fuck."
The feels. I has them.
It's crazy how playing the same mission on the same server of the same game at the same time does that.
this is the best ShackTac video since the Irish Pub one
Easily one of the most exciting shacktac videos. Nail biting stuff!
Dyslecxi the bad ass pilot who deserved a medal of bad ass ness and bravery!
that was awesome, i love the panic in your voice near your end. "CHECK RIGHT"
That moment around 8 minutes is so good...
This is the first air mission that I've actually enjoyed. (No offense intended)
Good flying Dsly.
If you're referring to the talk on the radios, he had more than one radio active, you can set them to individual ears with one radio left ear, another right. It can be pretty hard to juggle multiple radios like that though, you have to know what you're listening for.
That was so fucking intense. I loved every second of it Beagle get your's up now! Please. Thank you guy's for shearing this with us.
Dude! Great vid. It was a shame you died but the camera work you did after you died was EPIC!
Keep em coming!
Exciting, one of the best videos in some time IMHO. Edge of my seat the whole way.
This is just amazing, really reminded me of black hawk down at the beginning,Good job.
OH WOW, thinks got hectic at the end there! One of the best mission yet!
Love the coordination your guys have Dslyecxi great stuff as always
Be great to see one of CT1's perspective of this, but, great, great stuff!
What mod gets you all the guns? I love the huge variety of weapons that you guys have.
If you mean shooting while on the skids, it's a mod Dslyecxi made. I believe it's called the ShackTac Littlebird Enhancement mod.
Lol, Beagle: 'I attempted to negotiate with the enemy commander'
You're such a bad person Beagle :P
This flying is beautiful! I respect your skills as a pilot. Salut, to you Sir!
Love the video man! Keep bringing them out! they'er amazingly epic! Good job!
Ohhh, dat sexy horizontal sweeping in the little bird. I just have to get some pedals.
The real Rambo is Beagle ! Awesome vid !
Nice job with the left/right radio split
Nice sneaky fuel up at 34:50 ;)
One of my favourites I really like this type of mission. And what a ending great vid
Mart's pretty close to the mark here. Spectating the missions after you die is similar to what you do by watching us, but instead of commenting with each other here, we are talking live. If spectating wasn't fun then...why are you watching? :)
We hold several missions in a row, sessions last hours. As the night goes on, the tone lightens.
You're quite possibly the best ArmA pilot in the world
What an epic mission! Thanks for sharing!
42 minutes and always nail nail biting. Nice light editing and awesome game play ^.=.^
Man, this looks like so much fun. Shame scrub like me can never get involved in this :/ Good job as always, Dslyecxi" :)
Would be great if you put a callsign list i the description of the video. Great mission!
It's the rudder, check the keybindings for rudder left and right. Rudder becomes less and less responsive the higher your speed.
best ending to your vids. totally handled a screwed situation as best as possible.
So tight! Awesome video, I only wish I could play like this.
Possibly your best video Dslyecxi.
"We encountered the enemy commander in the school, I attempted to negotiate with my Glock 18, he was not receptive. I have his gold revolver now, objective complete" Gotta love Beagle
Thanks I put this up in notepad on my next window to give me a clearer view of the situation :)
Wow, it was like good movie. Great vid man!
Been expecting new videos soon, thanks!
Sorry if you have a video explaining you set-up or something, just haven't taken the time to look. But when you pilot, do you use mouse/keyboard, or a joystick?
Awesome vid bro! loving this video so much! keep em coming!
Awesome video. Can't wait for Beagle to upload his.
What's next in store for us simple civilians. Awesome video as always :P.
This is some SEAL Team 6 action right here.
Well its not as noticeable in this one, but at 1:57 when you're lifting off you sorta do a horizontal sweep if you will. Its more noticeable in videos where you're in an armed one, such as the CHkilroy assassination one, between 0:30 and 0:37. You sort of do a horizontal shift and hose an area, but when ever I try something like that it just sort of rolls my heli ( I believe the term is yaw) I hope you understand what I'm getting at.
Callsign List:
Angels 1-2 : AH-6 Attack Helicopters
Phantoms 1-3 : MH-6 Transport Helicopters for Clear Teams
Clear Teams (CT) 1-3 : Five man hostage rescue teams
1st Platoon : Full sized ST platoon w/ SOF humvees mounted with M240s and Mk 19 Grenade Launchers
2nd Platoon: Half sized ST platoon w/ same loadout
Recce : 2 man scout/sniper team
FAC/XO : Forward Air controller, 2nd in command
Company : Company commander, 1st in command
Are they using some radio mod? It sounds like he's patched into multiple different channels and the effect on the mic sounds very realistic, definitely does not sound like the in-game mic.
Brilliant and entertaining as ever Dslyecxi. Thanks : )
After your littlebird got shot down, you touched down with two guys on your skids.... One apparently went right and into the side of the building, but where did the second one go?
40:15 olympic games 2013.Vote for this guy
This is the sickest littlebird piloting i've ever seen.
Skills much?
I just started folowing this channel, AND HOLY MOTHER OF FLYING HELL THAT WAS BAD-FREAKIN-ASS! This seriously needs mor like buttons for me to push.
Brilliant video as always.
That was an amazing ending!
That was just epic, love it!
The scenarios are created by members of the ShackTac group.
Two websites in the description, Dslyexci's personal website, and the website for ShacTac should provide you with any answers you need.
Man that fire from vehicle mod is the shiiiit!
I think he's referring to using the rudder and roll to strafe a target while firing at it.
dam the ending was like a fucking movie made me cry like watching saving private ryan lol
Amazing...Your flying skills in MH-6 take some beating...
"I attempted to negotiate with my Glock 18. He was non-responsive."
Oh Beagle
What a great pilot!
what type of choppers are call sign Angels? Are those blackhawks? I keep getting confused on who is on during the call signs.
Single-life so once you die it's over and you get to spectate and chat with all the other dead until mission over. In really long missions occasionally there will be reinforcements as a respawn, but 9/10 times its going to be one life.
Makes things a bit more meaningful and a sense of accomplishment when you know that this is your ONLY chance to get it right and pull it off.
Before a mission, how are the roles divided up? Just randomly, or skill based?
radio sounded awsome
man this is some pretty heavy stuff comms the whole time just filled with contact reports
You meaning doing a strafing run? It's called using your rudder and roll really well.
poor Chkilroy..at least he went down like a hero.
Great video! I felt bad when you went down =/
If you look in the description it will say either "co-op", or "adversarial". Co-op means vs AI. Adversarial means vs players.
When you land, I see you sort of lock your view on to the ground, so that your view doesn't follow the heli movement. How do you do that?
Any viewpoints from the ground combat at the villa? I'd love to see how "shit just went bad" xD
Nice Death Pose at the end with your legs crossed and all. Next time bring a translator for the "Scotty".
You could sort of throw that together using CHKilroy's video and this one in youdoubler, just sync it up right
