I also believe there’s little tiny flakes of rust sitting at the bottom of the fuel tank could definitely raise hell with your lift pump. I’m talking about the pump. It’s right on the side of your engine six in a row.Jim from Kenner dollop, Pennsylvania

Trying to put a 24 valve in one the other is stock. I have these problems, thank you for the new info

Wow! I wish I knew about this last year. I had to use one out of a 97 dodge in my 1990 because I couldn't find one. The connector for the fuel gauge is different so my fuel gauge doesn't work.

I just dropped a "98 Carter pump in my tank on my '93. It puts out 18lbs. Get the FSM in CD form for your truck from Geno's garage. You can ID the wiring. The '98 doesn't have a provision for the low fuel light. However we used the FSM to properly connect the fuel sender. It works!! I also had to run wiring to the fuel pump. Elcheapo Amazon connector. I am afraid of running 18lbs so I got a fuel regulator.
