Thank you for sharing David. For information, a Kayak uses a paddle with blades on each end whereas a canoe uses a paddle with only one blade. Nothing to do with sitting in or on top!
David you'll be having a paddle on a kayak soon as the weather improves, you'd prefer a lovely day to a rainy day ...
Canoe kayak is like scones with cream first or jam 😆

A dictionary malfunction?
Years ago (many) schools/outward bound centres had canoes and Inuits had kayaks.
And Germans made Kleppers ...
Yet Canadians had open canoes (of which aluminium versions could get welded to a person's head doing the porterage thing in a thunderstorm. It's quite true as once saw it on TV ... and you can't argue with facts like that.)
Ref a paddle on Twiggy ... there's always a yuloh waggled about from the stern.
It might, rpt might, be useful when exiting a lock or cruising/mooring up in a marina of an evening so as to preserve the peace and tranquility???
Or if you ran out of petrol.

Thanks, yes I've watched a few seconds back and the pics were decent, weren't they and the stabilisation quite smooth. Pity the app crashed twice!!

love your channel. but the boatlife 2024 was terrible. Very small selection for Narrowboaters with no Chandlery bits and pieces to purchase.
It was 90% all about small plastic boats (no disrespect intended) and £17.99 for parking plus the entry fee.
Sorry Boatlife but i wont be back
Apparently a handful of narrowboat manufacturers who were scheduled to appear pulled out very last minute citing various reasons

The camera is nice and steady, but the video blurs when you pan around or move too quickly. You'd think that's something the software could warn you about.
That's largely impossible for software to overcome

Chopped off a little abruptly as you were saying "abou - - - - -!" There were a couple of drop-outs, but on the repeat, just came over as glitches.

Not sure bout the guy that said authoritatively 'we're watching' sounded good, Saw my first 3 seat Jet Ski, although it looked like it. Nice walk around though David, look forward to the other narrow/wide boats you talked about.

Did anyone see the extras on that widebeam? They were astronomical prices or am I completely out of touch, I froze the frame to read it all, for example £705 for a dishwasher and a washer dryer for £850 WTF, are they made of carbon fibre and gold?
Next time something else will go ballistic, maybe your mic next so prepare for that! LOL Great coverage I am looking to buy a narrowboat and this helps me getting a better idea on new and old boat prices making sure im not being ripped off for being a first time boat buyer which will be a second hand boat. I can't wait to live and cruise along, take photos as I restarting my side gig as a photographer and as I work for myself as a gardener.

Thanks David. Your van will tow your boat with ease. I dont remember if you have a trailer or not. A trailer's a must. Think trips to Scotland to cruise the canal and some loch camping. Maybe even try some fishing?

Well done David! Enjoyed having a look around. You were excitable there for a few minutes however you regained your tempo quite well. We needed to see you more centered in the camera lens but, that's just my personal opinion. Loved the opening shot of Twiggy .... peaceful setting!
Yeah, it's just the rear-facing camera on the same phone I'm taking the forward shot on, so as I'm lining up the main shot, the one of me may not be as composed.
I'll never find myself on the canals but fun to see this live show, if not days late!😮

Your dizzying pace is difficult to watch!
You appear to have the concentration span of a gnat.
Your constant camera swings do have the doubtful advantage, I suppose, of duplicating the seasick effect of being onboard a small, fast boat during a typhoon.
At no point did you engage in any meaningful or instructive conversations with guests or exhibitors.
Merely having people “wave at TH-cam” did not give me a sense of having attended.
Really, I’m shocked!
The video is 30 minutes long as it is so there wouldn't have been time for 'meaningful' interviews with anyone. They were also busy with showing their wares to guests so it wouldn't have been realistic to interrupt them to speak to a random TH-camr. The point of the live was to give a flavour of the show, which I believe it accomplished.

Errr this is a replay of the live broadcast. It has happened. You can see the video is 30 minutes long. Skip past the first three minutes or so (when the test card was showing) and the live began
