I Etched and Partitioned mine with the Pocket Go Firmware Update for Gameboy Color Rumble Emulator. I took Legend of the River King 2 and ran it through the Gameboy ROM Analyzer on Windows and changed the Cartridge type to 1EH and fixed the header. You choose where it says Cartridge type and hit the arrow on the right then you can choose. Rumble was programmed into the Japanese version and just needs to be opened on the English version. The Earthquake at the beginning will let you know if you did it right. You may as well take advantage of that motor inside. Pocket Go Firmware Update is way better than Stock OS that comes with the system. It's best to get a good SD.
The power switch on the side sticks out so far that the system will be switched on in your pocked or bag and the battery will be dead when you want to use it
I highly recommend a new 4000mAh BL-5C Battery. I believe it's just an old Nokia Phone Battery. It's a great upgrade besides the Pocket Go Firmware Update.

I agree, it happens from time to time. I tried to fix it with some UHU paste in the slot.
