Mikey!! Your words at the start were ringing in my ears while finishing a crochet cardigan, "the hard work is done, you're just finishing up" I love your brutal honesty, and you were cheering me on to just get it done. For once, I have a FINISHED ITEM. All ends sewn in, panels together. I need a video of Mikey just cracking the whip like "b*itch, no you don't get to leave it in the whip pile, finish that mo-fo" ❤❤❤
Scoot/scooting is to move quickly! Scoot in slang means Dollar. I’m from the uk and I used scoot to the kids when I wanted them out of the way. Thankyou for this tutorial, it’s nice to learn something new!!
I am a newbie (less than a year) and this was a great tutorial on the whip stitch. You take your time and have great explanations along the way and your hack saved me as I had two granny squares a bit longer than the other. Worked like a charm. I will keep this to refer to in the future. Btw I like your humour along the way. Now I am a subscriber. ☺️
Mikey, thanks for these simple, easy to follow tutorials. This is my first time doing a granny square afghan and needed to see this joining technique. Thanks again!
I'm whipstitching a project now and looking for tips on securing the whipstitch. The project you're whipstitching is what I'm curious about. I'd love to see the whole project it looks beautiful from what I can see. And p.s. thanks for the Lego block tutorial. I made it for my grandson and may 31st I get to give it to him. Trying to whipstitch my granddaughter's blanket now
I love this idea. I can use this stitch for granny squares. I was looking for an easier way to sew the granny squares and here is your video. Thank you so much 💓
This is great, but I have an afghan that was done in long pieces, so the edges I have to sew together are all turning edges, not nice, neat single crochets like this one. Can you do a quick tutorial on how to join turning edges, please? Thank you!
Love this type of joining but do not like the knot at the beginning. Can that be placed on the back or made less obivious? Even in the same color you could feel that lump, couldn't it?
I am confused bc when I do granny squares I put right sides together but when you did yours was it on right side sorry if this is stupid. Could you please show how you end granny squares?
Hi , nit sure how to spell Scoot? Hmm… yes I think Is a word. Scoot under ? Or “ Scoot down a bit so I can see the top of your head” Your to high. lol Thank you for the tutorial finally really see how to do the Wip stitch. Going to go check out tbat left handed video in this. Thanks a lot for that. ❤️
Duuuuddee! I haven’t seen someone use a slip stitch to secure the end before. That’s so smart. Mikey thank you 🥰
Agreed! Brilliant!
I am an experienced crocheter, but the slip stitch hack is genius. Thank you for teaching this old dog a new trick❤
Great tip on anchoring the start! thank you

Thank you so much. I like the way you secure it. It is so much easier than trying to go back and weave in the ends.
Love the slip stitch to secure - great tip 👍🏼 Could listen to you all day! ❤
Thanks Mikey!! You are a wonderful teacher.
Great way to look at finishing the project! Thanks, Mikey!

I have a box full of Victorian lattice squares that I have been dreading joining. I think this will be the perfect solution. Thank you!❤️
I've used this method and even fixed it the way you showed. I didn't know I was doing it right. I was just winging it!
Great whip stitch demo!

Thank you so much. This is very helpful. 😊
Great tutorial
This was so helpful! Thank you.
At least now I know what that stitch is called. It's something I have always done 😂 🤣
If only you were sitting right beside me to watch me closely to see if I can do these stitches correctly.💯
Thanks for sharing this I honestly never knew how to put two things together. So I just avoided those projects.
Mikey, I’m a new subscriber & love the info in this tutorial! I’ve learned so much today with you! Thanks!! 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Excellent tutorial Mikey....I love this seam ❤
how to estimate how much yarn you'll need for the whip stitch? is it maybe 2 or 3 times the length of what you're joining?
Ty as always ❤
Excellent 🐯

Are you saying go back and forth three times doing the whip stitch or just weaving in the ends???Sorry, pretty new at this.
Thank you
awesome thanks ♥️✋
Love this type of joining but do not like the knot at the beginning. Can that be placed on the back or made less obivious? Even in the same color you could feel that lump, couldn't it?
Which stitch would you suggest for a heavily used garment?
I heard the Mattress Stitch would be best. I don't have have a video.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Thank you
I am confused bc when I do granny squares I put right sides together but when you did yours was it on right side sorry if this is stupid. Could you please show how you end granny squares?
Which video are these blocks from? They are gorgeous. Love the colorways used.
How do you do triweave crochet.
If I am joining two different colors, one dark and one lighter, which color of yarn would I use? Light or dark?
It’s up to you.
is it best to stitch them together on the backside?
I haven't found that to be true but you can try and see if you prefer it.
