I saw Euan Morton when he played in Taboo in London during Easter break in 2002. We met him and my daughter was photographed with him. I didn’t realize that was him, until now. He is fantastic in Hamilton on Broadway.❤
I was on the balcony on the side. $99 seat I bought while visiting NYC. A steal. I filmed carefully, just a few times. Wasn’t told to put my iPhone away.
What country was this in? Because in America it’s illegal to record a Broadway show. I was there opening week and when I got back to my phone in the hotel, I saw that Lin-Manuel Miranda had tweeted from backstage the locations of EVERY cell phone he saw so ushers could shut them down (e.g. “Obnoxious teen girl. Row 3, 7 seats in.”). He did this every night! So when the creator and star of the show tweets how pissed off he is how people are illegally pirating his award-winning show on which he spent so much time and creative, I wonder where this was filmed. We won’t even mention how rude it is to have a cell phone on during a performance. It is horribly sad to think that the creator of the show focused every night on the pirates in the audience, and not on the wonderful performances of his colleagues and protégés around him on the stage. Not to mention that every live performance is a magical piece of history (every night it’s different), and rather than taking it in with their own eyes, the criminals have their eyes on only one of the many brilliant actors via an electronic device. O tempora. O mores. Please take this video down and remind your friends how disrespectful it is for having recording it. The Broadway and Puerto Rican communities deserve our reverence.
It's obviously illegal in England too, where I think this was. but as you just illustrated, it still happens because the ushers can't catch everything.
I've just been to watch this for the first time in London and have to say I absolutely loved it

Jonathan Groff delivered the definitive performance of ‘You’ll Be Back’. Sorry but any other attempt after that is a mere shadow.
And that is your opinion 👍
Was this filmed surreptitiously?
