Since this is the 32nd Century, we are likely to see characters from Discovery either as regular or recurring characters

I hope we get to see the return of the Universe class starships. 2 were sent out to colonize different galaxies. Just one of those ships could be Starfleet headquarters, Academy and ship yards in one place.

Kurtzman still hasn’t proven he embraces the true historical Star Trek.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is expected to be released on the streaming service Paramount+ in 2025 or 2026 and consist of 10 episodes. A second season is in development.......Thats all this dude should have said.

May be we need Mariner to get stuck in the 32nd century and is given personal responsibility of these cadets, may be Boimler to. You know they'd be a bad influence and would make the show 100x more fun.

To boldly go.....to class. How boring.I am sure StarFleet Academy is where all crew members learn their jobs, but going to school is just not exciting.People want to see action in space, not people studying for exams.

Another DEI show nobody wants. Just like Disney they lost $150 billion in value. Star Trek should get back to stories about Science Fiction and get away from DEI fiction......

Sorry Kurtzman, a Young Adult show with heavy DEI focus will *not* appeal to a wider *NEW* audience. It will be unappealing like The Acolyte. It will just be kept on life support by the few fans who watch anything with the 'Star Trek' Label on it.

Curious if you think yet another STAR TREK series set on a star ship would attract more new people than this concept which has never been done before?

    • @Knightfall182

@@michaelwallace2487 Do a series set on space colony, charting out a new galaxy. Something that leads itself to scifi concepts and space adventure, instead of teens going through cliche coming of age drama.

@@Knightfall182 DS9, which had a similar stationary feel, had a tag-a-long exploration concept at the beginning of the series, too-exploring the worm hole-yet when it was mineralized and jettisoned in later seasons, the series got better. At least to me. DS9 proved TREK can work without the use of exploration in the matrix. Sure. Down the road, the return to exploration and explorers would be great, but there’s a whole TREK universe out there with potential unexplored series concepts and story concepts to explore. The use of science and science fiction can be used within all areas and concepts, and not just with exploration. I want to see something new and fresh within the TREK universe. Something to challenge and give the creative teams a new perspective to write from. Could only make TREK better in my opinion. If I hear the line, “Shields down 50 percent,” one more time, I’ll puke! Lol.

At minute 5:45 it is revealed the core of why this series will fail is revealed. The final seasons of Star Trek Discovery devolved into a DEI/LGBTQ sh!t show, with creepy actors who may appear again in any significant production. There is just the slightest chance that the show runners will have learned from that mistake but it appears that the have not. Further lets hope that Mary Wiseman's Tilly will not be a major character as she was one of the least likeable members of the crew.

It's sad divisiveness spurred the Star Wars civil war.
And now it's Star Trek's turn, to be ripped apart, for the sake of the endless Culture War raging across America, and increased clicks and traffic.
We get it. You don't like Star Trek. So what? It's just another random no body splashing their thoughts aross the net.

@@AmongRevenants I love star trek, new trek is another matter. Why do you blame us when the showrunners went out of their way to start this culture war in the fandom? It's the same they did with SW and a million other franchises from warhammer to Rings of Power. We don't want this, but your side of the fandom, the majority in this franchise turned on us and supported it.
