You did an extremely thorough review, the best review I’ve seen yet - and I’ve seen tens of thousands (I’m in publishing). Great job!

Man! By far the best overview video of this saw I have seen. Everyone considering this saw, needs to see this video. Great job! And FYI, I have heard a lot of people complain about the fence moving when you try to sneak up on a cut

Just got one. Love it. I have friends and kids that use it too, and I feel A LOT better knowing they are very unlikely to become seriously injured regularly using this saw.

Excellent review. Anyone that allows their left hand to get as close to the blade like you do needs this saw.

I've had the Sawstop PCS for around 5 years and it has been nothing but awesome. Also, I had a small issue and the customer service was incredibly good. In fact, I now need a jobsite saw, and even though this saw is easily twice the money as all the other nice jobsite saws, I knew I had to get the Sawstop. I will receive it next week (just in time for a kitchen cabinet installation). Thanks for the video and great job!

Thanks for this. I was trying to decide which to go with, Job Site or Contractor. I finally decided today on the Job Site before I saw this. I don't use a table saw much, my go-to is my 12" Hitachi Chop saw, but occasionally I need one and my workshop space is getting crowded. After watching this I am sure this is what I want. Thanks for the reassurance.

very nice. really like how you were honest and did not just praise everything on the SS like the typical reviews and calling out all the gimmicky/cheap stuff, although it's likely because those other reviews were given a free SS.

Nice. This convinced me to definitely get this saw... I don't have a lot of room so something that can fold away like this is perfect and it seems to do great cuts.

Great video. I'm in a similar situation, my current saw is dead and need a new one and my wife really wants me to have the safest. I'm considering the sawstop as I don't have a lot of space in my work shop.

I love the brand and the safety features and one day maybe ill own one but you are right. Don't cheap out at that price with crappy attachments.

Hey, Dan, does SawStop make routers?! 😉 Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Excellent review. I think the saw is worth it for the safety feature alone. I'm surprised more manufacturers have not looked to incorporating a similar feature. Shame they don't sell them in the UK.

I own the jobsite saw. I have had it for a year. Last week I was trimming an end grain cutting board I made out of Maple and Wenge. I was cutting off maybe an eighth to a quarter of an inch. The blade bogged down. Then somehow it hit the riving knife which caused the break to trip as it hit un-grounded metal. The blade nicked the riving knife which caused the break to kick in. If you look at the saw set up, it is impossible for that to happen, but it did. I was using a wooden cross cut sled that I had used many times before. The saw blade did not drop below the table but cut stuck above in the grove of the cross cut sled with maple and wenge stuck in the grove. The blade which was a SawStop titanium blade was checked by a local blade repair and sharpening shop and it was not damaged at all. However, I do not believe I will be getting a new break. SawStop is sending me a new riving knife and they cannot figure out how the incident occurred but I thing getting free breaks is not something they often due. I will say that other than this I love the saw and for my uses it is great. I hope to move in a couple of years and will then get the contractors saw. I have run across too many people who are short fingers due to table saws and there may be an occasional inconvenience, such as I just had, but the saw is well worth the money for the safety issues. If you check out Ron Paulk's videos he loves it and has two of them and the jobsite saws are his only table saws. Good work. Keep up the videos.
