The AWESOME Mike Dawes! More of him please!! He's currently on tour with Tommy Emmanuel and plays with Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues regularly. The man is a Guitar Boss!

I ran across this guy while staying in England. He was promoting a reverb device that attached to your acoustic guitar, that gave you a reverb sound, without an amp. He was promoting it at Andertons on TH-cam. Andertons is a big gear store in the UK. Great player!

So glad to see you check Mike Dawes out! He does a mix of both covers and originals. Mostly originals. I suggest "Overload" as a nice step up from this one. "Impossible" is more organic (all sounds produced acoustically) where "Overload" he has an expanded toolkit(digital).

Incredible musician! His playing is so effortless and flowing .... Yes, the guitar sound is impressive!! Jeff, so very glad that you were pointed to Mike Dawes and then made this reaction video. At 71 I'm still learning about and appreciating good music. Again, thank you for all that you do on your channel.

His tribute to Van Halen playing "Jump" is wonderful too!

Where words end, music begins. This is cheerful and melancholy at the same time, and this music floated from his mind and fingertips straight into my amazed mind. Talented people make me emotional in every art field.

Usually very curious about the visuals, technics etc. as well, but as soon as he started with the first tiny tones, I just closed my eyes and listened …… how very very beautiful, sensitive and emotional ….. so first: Thank you 🥹🥹🥹🙏🏼💜😌. Second: I’ll have to re-visit and look at what is going on later😉🤯. For now just carrying this beautiful music with me in the moment💜🙏🏼🤗.

Mike is often considered the greatest living acoustic guitarist. I would recommend alot more recent stuff to check out instead of 'The Impossible' which is from a number of years ago now.

'Boogie Slam' is a ridiculous and amazing bit of playing by Mike

It's remarkable how much his guitar styling is like mine. He must have heard some of my recordings.

He has covered a song or 2 but mostly plays original stuff

That was vry cool. BTW, there's someone else out there who can do this stuff, Luca Stricagnoli. Here's his version of AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" played on an acoustic guitar: th-cam.com/video/LMPWfHqVj40/w-d-xo.html
