Andy, Forest fan here. I’d love to be able to be more certain but at present it is unclear if we’ll play 3 with WBs or 4 at the back. History and pre-season suggests Nuno favours 3 CBs and WBs, however that doesn’t necessarily accommodate all of our best attacking threats. Nico is still a good pick though as our goals conceded last year were predominantly set pieces and individual mistakes. Wouldn’t touch our keepers personally which I’ve seen in other drafts. It’s totally unclear who will start at the moment. Love the content mate keep it up 👍🏻

I just put together a draft I was happy with and now I've seen this excellent draft, damnit lol My team: C.Miguel (Turner) Saliba / Mykolenko / Burn / (Andersen) / (Barco) Saka / Palmer / Son / Eze / (Rogers) Watkins / Isak / Havertz
Going with a team you're happy with is part of the strategy, if you go with a team you dislike you'll be much more eager to start taking hits or Wildcard to get to a team you actually like.
Like your thoughts Andy. I can’t justify someone at 15m, honestly would rather a Salah/Watkins combo + cash over Haaland/ Gibbs but that’s preference. Currently I’ve got, Sanchez TAA, Munoz, Burn Son, EZE, Salah, Nkunku Watkins, Isak, Gakpo Turner, Roger’s, Konsa, Harwood-Bellis. Obviously early, but taking on a few 4.5 defenders and some different options with Gakpo and Son. I have 0.5 in the bank so could go Palmer but tossing up a few different options with Son/Saka/Palmer/Odegaard in the second premium option in midfield. Could lose Gakpo but is a place holder at the moment. Could move him to Darwin or Jota, we’ll see how preseason goes but like the triple Liverpool. Plenty of options to move players around.
You will have to wait and see how quickly he gets integrated. Not much of a pre season so could easily get benched first few games. If you can afford to bench him he could be great for GW2 and 3
Heres the only question you should ask yourself - do you think Watkins & Salah will outscore Haaland and Gibbs white? The rest of it actually isn’t that far off the mark, could be quite fun way to start the season. Going different and making your own content/decisions isn’t always going to be well received when you go against the majority but your reasoning is pretty solid Ps. I actually rate the NFO picks, loads picking up wood right now so MGW and Nico could also be good shouts
I actually preferred your earlier draft with Watkins + weaker midfield, though I might disagree with some of the individuals, but that's not important. That's sort of my structure
i quite like this draft. I also have gibbs-white, nkunku, eze, gvardiol, isak. For the £4.5 million midfielders i can't take myself off of Mykolenko and Robinson, both have excellent medium term fixtures and pose great attacking threat, plus everyone are solid defensively anyway. Watkins instead of Isak allows me to go for Salah and Foden in midfield. Also allows me to upgrade Van Dijk to Trent. Also have Muniz for Fulham's fixtures. Am worried about only having 4 penalty takers and no arsenal players.
I think Nunez is going to be the number 9 long term, but Jota will start the season is my understanding as a Liverpool fan. I’ve just decided to avoid as I don’t want to have to book a transfer in, and it’s not clear how long Jota will start before Nunez comes in.
I don’t agree with the line up but go with your gut. I’ve lost count how many times premium players have let me down and the little guys have hit bigger figures
I love the neco Williams pick have him in my team atm. I do like van dijk as well but I bet you will end up just finding the million to bring in trent 😅 gvardiol to munos and virgil to trent is the easiest way but rashford or garnacho could outscored fernandes easily as well especially if he keeps playing further back
I like the draft but think I prefer, because of the pricing having all the forward players playing. I would do Fernandes to Gordon and Stewart to Armstrong
You know, I like your channel and your content. The picks generally make sense - you explain your reasoning behind why you make certain decisions, and it's easy to see why you make them. That's not to say I always agree with you, I often don't - but it's nice to see your opinions. As for the draft, not a fan of Saka since he's dead tired after the Euros + long season (and wasn't great) , I like the mention of Jota but both him and Nkunku seem a bit like a gamba. MUtd is also a mystery to see how they perform, but fwiw Bruno Fernandes is worth considering (probably as the only player from MUtd). I just don't know if I trust him for the opening squad. If Fuellkrug joins he'll be a very interesting option, and might boost Bowen as an option as well imo
A definite improvement on the last draft but both that you’ve done so far perfectly demonstrate the reason I’m going with Salah but not Haaland. You’re having to sacrifice too much elsewhere to shoehorn him in. Haaland to Watkins and Bruno to Salah would improve this enormously on its own and give budget to improve elsewhere.
As far as I saw, rashford and Anthony both got Injured. Do you still think bruno would be a good enough choice at that price range with some of the better players around him? @@LetsTalkFPL
how has Salah looked amazing in pre-season lol?! Dont get me wrong, my current draft is without Haaland or Salah but Im serious considering bringing Salah in (which I think weakens the overall point potential), but those early fixtures for Liverpool are just so good. But in terms of decisions based on pre-season Elliot is the one I'd want (means nothing though, its pre-season)
I have an OP team, only thing i could change too improve is my GK, i have Flekken and Valdimarsson so both Brentford GK atm because the other teams with 4.5 gk have too many goalies and uncertain which keeper is going to be the starter.. even chelsea have 3 goalies who could all start
I am still undecided on Haaland vs Salah. Looking at in combination its either Haaland + Gibbs white (or any 6.5 mid) or Salah + Watkins and I guess the latter will score more points during the first 6 weeks.. what do you think ?
@@LetsTalkFPL tbh I’ve got no idea 😂 and not saying it Should be Template, far from it, I respect the variety. But I honestly Loved your last one with the ‘weak’ mid. I think I prefer the penalties from MGW rather than CHO. I could maybe get behind Andreas though, on pens for Fulham, good fixtures, and another £1.0m to spend.
Really interesting Andy. I watched an “analytics” Haaland draft last night (IG), which had an identical midfield (Fernandes apparently a lock for the analytics community) & GKs. Crucial difference to your draft is Isak not seen as essential, while Pedro and Armstrong both offer great value. Going with both allows Trent, 6m def, and Porro at the back. While seeking zero-risk picks and strong bench, to avoid early WC/transfers. The rule changes would seem to encourage that approach, which is fundamentally different to the “GW4/6 WC” strategies. Would love to see you discuss that, and the different drafts that emerge from such alternative strategies.
Amad Diallo is tearing it up in pre-season. What do you think his xMins will be this season? (especially the first few GWs with Garnacho not yet returning from Copa for training).
I agree he will start the season. To Anthony definitely not, expect Sancho will leave also so it’s just whether garnacho takes minutes off of amad or rashford imo
I really don't like 352. The forwards seem so much better than the midfielders. I think I just about prefer both Wood (who I figure probably does have pens over MGW, but even if he doesn't) and Muniz to all of the 9m or below mids. There's also the seemingly good 5m option of Rogers for the bench mid. Ironically, the forwards being so good is why all of my money is in midfield. It's why I'm on Salah and not Haaland, despite preferring Haaland and why I have the money for 2 of Palmer/Saka/Son as well as two premium defenders. I'm struggling to not pick any of Isak, Wood and Muniz.
with both drafts i just feel this doesn't feel strong enough for a no salah draft. only one 10m midfielder and no trent. I don't think Bruno is worth one of these spots and I don't really see the appeal of MGW with CHO 1m cheaper and probably a bigger open play threat. I like the picks in defense but i think it's worth dropping Van Dijk to upgrade Bruno to Son/Palmer. this is just my opinion tho and on the flipside i like seeing something a bit different which could work if the like of Fernandes kick off well
Hi Andy, im currently debating Son and Havertz or Salah and Muniz/Wood. I have Szobozlai in my team as he is almost playing in the number 10 in pre season. So i could have him over Salah if i go for the first option. What do you think?
Not having Salah with Liverpool opening fixtures is just bunkers. I appreciate your content and this is my first time commenting. This is just mid and crazy to be honest, I pray for novice who look at this and think they have a good template to work with 😂
I have ur previous draft that the midfield got slated or whatever but I put salah instead of Roger’s, muniz for haaland, and Nkunku for Bailey . Still got a bit in the bank but maybe I’ll keep that for any surprise players
If you want a cheap differential go for Elliot instead of Roger. Elliot will start under Slot and is looking impressive. He will be an assistmachine under Slot.
Id rather go for Amad at 5mil. Ive not seen a single ytuber talking about him. He has been Utd best player in the preseason (2goals) plus that RW is up for grabs and he was starting the last few games of the season too. Eth also talked about how hes finally ready and i think hes going to be a bargain
It looks good, Andy. Except Virgil, I don't get Virgil at all. 6 million is overpriced for him. Would much prefer an Arsenal defender, regardless of their fixtures. That's just my opinion tho!
@@LetsTalkFPL I think it is bold in the sense of trusting Forest to do well. Even with "green" fixtures at the start they will still fight for relegation imo
Too many CBs ... I don't get the VVD pick, dunk and faes even less so... Liverpool are not an elite defense 6m vvd 🤔...cant argue too much about the rest .... Maybe son or Palmer for saka .... And not sure about mgw
Would u want to downgrade Saka to like an Odegaard as Saka was in the euros and arteta may want to rest him this will allow you to upgrade Virgil to a Trent or do the double up on the Liverpool defence
He won't rest Saka, but its not a bad idea to think Odegaard might have a better start to the season because he has had rest, could be a nice differential to start the year
Surpised with Fernandes there as United's form is awful and last year was just as bad. Gordon is there for less money, better fixtures. That gives you the extra cash for TAA or Pedro etc.
I'm pretty certain calafiori is starting over Zina at left back , akanji isn't exactly nailed as a starting option, also a risky pick. Guardiola said the players who came late from euro expeditions will likely miss the first 2 gameweeks (meaning no foden ,stones or rodri ). Chelsea is also signed another goalkeeper (Filip Jorgensen) who could also start over Sanchez . You have a lot to work on your team 😅

@@TheMan-my1nw Both are 4.5m so it's pretty easy to swap them. I believe alot in Leif Davis of Ipswich, not vs Liverpool but after that. And Andersen or Guehi of Palace are decent options too.
Haaland is wildly overpriced I can't believe he's even considered. In this squad, Haaland to Watkins means GibbsWhite can be Gordon, Bruno can be Son, and Nico can be Trent.
You said earlier on that the cheap forwards are better than cheap midfielders, yet now you don’t have any of them. Surely MGW to Armstrong/Pedro and VVD to Trent or MGW to Wood/Muniz, Dunk to Barco and VVD to Trent is a no brainer.
I also don't have any cheap midfielders to be fair! But yeah, could go for a 4.5m midfielder instead of forward and shift funds around. Or even do MGW to Andreas.
What do you think of smith rowe if he goes to Fulham and is playing regularly,if he stays fit and plays I think he will be a great punt, the last season he played regularly for arsenal over a season he was their top goal scorer ?
Just don't see how you can go without any Liverpool attack with those fixtures, and Gibbs-White is too much of a low-ceiling pick for a GW1 draft for me, would much rather go with a forward like Muniz who is nailed and carries so much more goal threat even if he may not have pens. But the logic behind the draft makes sense, and it's not like I expect to be rocketing up the leaderboards myself.
@@LetsTalkFPL basically what i'm saying is "I think Salah is essential" but I know that's a bad word around here, lol. long way to go until GW1 for sure, i think a Jota punt for the first few GWs could pay off as well as any of the other 6.5-7.5m mids too (as you noted). again totally think your logic makes sense, i'm just a commenter
For me. Haaland isn’t a good option. Sacrifice so much for elsewhere who went get that many more points than the 10m price point premiums alongside Watkins and Trent as well. Which would make it overall a lot stronger
I don’t think Salah is worth it easier. Also being 2.5 more for what I think will be less points due to his poor end of season form. Even if he does perform well. 2.5 could be better spent elsewhere

This is just mid and crazy to be honest, I pray for novice who look at this and think they have a good template to work with 😂
Grooss left Brighton?
Gone to Dortmund
Thoughts on Martinelli as a punt over Eze?
How sure are you about his minutes? That would be my only worry.
I have ur previous draft that the midfield got slated or whatever but I put salah instead of Roger’s, muniz for haaland, and Nkunku for Bailey . Still got a bit in the bank but maybe I’ll keep that for any surprise players
This season's fantasy is really a headache very time I visit my team I must change 😅😅😅
What about downgrading Gibbs-White to Rogers? That’s the easiest way to get more funds to spend elsewhere
My midfield is Salah(c), Ødegaard, Saka, Son(v), Nkunku 🥶🔥
should I pick Trent+Andersen+Valdimarsson(for the gk bench) or Saliba+Munoz+Sanchez?
I am surprised Munoz for Palace isn’t getting much love . He is playing almost as a right winger for palace
I do like him but don’t always have that extra 0.5 to spend.
Bold draft, I like it. Not template at all, and if penalties go your way this could be really good. I still prefer son over saka, though.
I don't even think it's that bold, feels fairly standard to me!
@@LetsTalkFPL I think it is bold in the sense of trusting Forest to do well. Even with "green" fixtures at the start they will still fight for relegation imo
Just one thought! Will Salah and Trent both score more points in the first game against Ipswich then Haaland against Chelsea ???
I disagree with the noise, you cant have everyone and this seems a well balanced squad
Have you looked at Smith-rowe ? Gone to Fulham, probably going to play good minutes and is only 5.5
I think the first draft had more points potential- have you considered Havertz?
Neco Williams is not a regular starter for Forest. But then again with Aurier leaving who knows...
going for such an early wildcard seems crazy to me. but with the new changes, maybe it's a good strategy.
I'm not set on an early Wildcard!
Too many CBs ... I don't get the VVD pick, dunk and faes even less so... Liverpool are not an elite defense 6m vvd 🤔...cant argue too much about the rest .... Maybe son or Palmer for saka .... And not sure about mgw
Think I have my team nailed now. 97% rating is as high as I could get. But ratings are one thing, real life another.
There's 15 days until the season starts, you're not nailed 😉
@LetsTalkFPL very true. Injuries, transfers etc... Spent ages with different drafts. I should have said, hopefully nailed down now.
i actually like this team we cant have everyone its haaland or salah cant have both im liverpool fan so i think i need jota if he starts no.9
Any advice on West Ham #1 and #2 Keeper?
Started with a Salah Haaland draft and will stick with them
nkuku is a natural, he going to be trouble if he fully fit this season
I got my squad up to 98/100 , don't think I can improve it 😂
Why not lose Gibbs-White and Stewart for Rogers and Wood/Muniz?
Would u want to downgrade Saka to like an Odegaard as Saka was in the euros and arteta may want to rest him this will allow you to upgrade Virgil to a Trent or do the double up on the Liverpool defence
He won't rest Saka, but its not a bad idea to think Odegaard might have a better start to the season because he has had rest, could be a nice differential to start the year
What do you think about Robinson over Dunk. Fulham have great opening fuxtures
More attacking but worse defence. Like him though.
Fernandes down to Bailey then you can do Gvardiol to Trent and Stewart to JP
Why don't you have Watkins? Why don't you have Trent?
Someone already did this!
Surpised with Fernandes there as United's form is awful and last year was just as bad. Gordon is there for less money, better fixtures. That gives you the extra cash for TAA or Pedro etc.
My team: Haaland, Watkins, Isak, Bowen, Foden, Nkunku, Gordon, Zinchenko, Akanji, Mykalenko and Sanchez.👍
Zinchenko will be arenals 10th choice left back by the time everyone is available
Not too sure about Zinchenko or Akanji but looks like a super good team!
Thanks guys might find another option.✌️
don't worry about one game week think of the first 5 fixtures instead and save up your 5 free transfers
G - Miguel - Nottingham
G - Flekken - Brentford
D - Mykolenko - Everton
D - Porro - Tottenham
D - Burn - Newcastle
D - Faes - Leicester
D - Konsa - Aston Villa
M - Nkunku - Chelsea
M - Palmer - Chelsea
M - Saka - Arsenal
M -Son - Tottenham (captain)
M - Gordon - Newcastle
S - Isak - Newcastle
S - Watkins - Aaron Villa
S - Muniz - Fulham.
Mykolenko Is a big doubt since he’s been injured all pre season and Burn may not be regular anymore is what I’ve heard from other FPL pundits.
No one mentioning Walker, not that attacking but the 0,5 save is big, no?
I love that Williams pick! Can’t see myself going without Mr Salah
I love Salah too but for me it's just one of him or Haaland.
@@LetsTalkFPL That’s fair! I’m gunna go for both because I know they’ll rack up so many points throughout the season. Captaincy too!
At Liverpool I can see Quansah being a starter.
Saka, Van Dijk, N.Williams and Flekken to Gordon, Trent, Porro and Pope🤓
What do you think of smith rowe if he goes to Fulham and is playing regularly,if he stays fit and plays I think he will be a great punt, the last season he played regularly for arsenal over a season he was their top goal scorer ?
He barely played for arsenal last season hence the leave
Which is why I said the last season he played regularly and not last season which was 21/22 season
Tell me a Liverpool attacker not named Salah who is nailed for GW1-5 and I'll put them in!
I’m really starting to hate any Haaland draft. I can’t see myself having him gw1
Will you be doing a video on your team every match week along with chips and transfers
Of course
Nkunku and Frazer or
Wood and winks?
Is there any actual merit to that tool he uses? I've got a team at 95%
What are your thoughts on KDB?? 9.5m
The minute Osimhen hits Chelsea he’ll be my number 1 forward 😊
What AI rating did this get and how does that rating compare to your previous drafts?
Honestly think your first draft was much better
Andy, please make a video featuring every setpiece taker for every team. Regards
I don’t understand the love for premium defenders this year
Feel like Gordon is a much better pick than Bruno and gives you more money to play with.
Wood or Muniz to rotate with Rogers?
I don’t have Salah or haaland. But my team is 95 rated on fantasy football hub
