What is an X-ray Forearm AP View Test?
An X-ray of the forearm visualizes the bones of the forearm and the surrounding soft tissues (skin and muscles). The forearm consists of the elbow, the forearm bones (radius and ulna), and the wrist.
Why X-ray Forearm Done?
To treat broken or fractured bones of the forearm (the region between the elbow and the wrist) and monitor the healing of the broken bone after it has been set.
To identify any suspected infection, osteoporosis, deformities or abnormal bone growth, and arthritis (inflammation of joints).
What is the procedure for both forearm AP view radiograph test?
The X-ray technician will explain.
How does one prepare for the test?
No preparation is needed. You should wear loose-fitting clothing.
Notify your technician if you are pregnant, as radiation may harm the baby if not disclosed.

Never do a lateral forearm without the elbow being in the lateral position. If you do, the ulna will not be seen in 2 planes, only one. It is a serious error. You should remove this video. Taking a forearm with a broken ulna this way will mean the diagnosis and treatment will be with incomplete information which is extremely bad
