- Pakistan continues to bolster its defensive capabilities by acquiring the Common Anti-Air Modular Missile - Extended Range (CAMM-ER) system from MBDA Italy. This deal will equip the Pakistan Navy with a robust anti-air missile defense to protect its coastal territories and naval assets.
The ground-launched CAMM-ER system features sophisticated air defense missiles with a strike range of up to 45 km and an ability to engage even highly maneuverable targets at high and low altitudes. We analyze how the CAMM-ER bolsters Pakistan's layered air defense and why Italy's MBDA was chosen for this key missile system.
The CAMM-ER missiles are also deployed on the Navy's frontline Babur class corvettes and new Yarmook class corvettes. We examine how commonality and integration between naval and ground-based CAMM-ERs will benefit Pakistan operationally and economically.

But active rader homing not depend ground-based or ship base rader it seaker itself range 15 to 40km. So it's seaker itself guide the missile in target. Jammed comparatively difficult for active rader.

Should acquire CAMM MR instead of CAMM ER . And PN should also replace FM 90 at f22 frigates
Italy is one of the providers to Pakistan among the European countries. I assume that was why the ER version was chosen. I'm happy it's an active SAM instead of a semi- active one.

@harooniqbal2041 CAMM-MR is a British/ Poland missile. Perhaps, the UK and Poland might be reluctant to export it to a non- NATO country. It's range is reported to be 100 km, vs 40 km + for the Camm-ER which is Italian with UK components according to Wiki. I don't know how accurate this information is.

Italian hardly transfer any technology .... even normal documentation is not provided. Therefore, it would be better if we choose Chinese systems which are sanctions proof, now hi-tech and do share their technology.
