Hello there! I work as HR here in 🇨🇦 and I strongly suggest that you put everything in writing (email, text message) kapag may relevant concerns ka sa workplace. In case magkaron kayo ng meetings (formal/informal) about your concerns, it is also a good practice to follow up thru email. Magagamit mo yung mga documentation na yun in case things go south. Unfortunately, just like in other countries, meron talagang mga kasama sa work/managers na unfair. All the best!

Another "welcome to Canada" experience for you. You just need to learn how to handle different situations. The best is if you know how to play politics. Don't get bullied but at the same time try to "go with the flow". Iba ibang lahi iba iba ang attitude, pero madalas maraming gusto pabida, pinoy included. Marami ka pang maexperience for sure. It's a completely a different working culture compare sa 'pinas.
We have to accept that people have diverse backgrounds in Canada, especially in urban centres. If we tell ourselves that we cannot work with a person from a specific culture then we are limiting our opportunities to be successful. We need to take the time to understand, learn, and know each person that we work with, regardless of our perceptions of their backgrounds.
We need to stand our ground, speak up and know your right. They like to intimidate bcoz we filipinos our overbearing, works hard and never complain. Been there done that. You are a smart person and i can see a brighter future for you and your family
