I'm pretty sure this maneuver is required for folks who need to spin the table around 180 degrees. And I think that is required for folks that are upgrading to the double tilt system.

So maybe it would be helpful to explain WHY someone would want to change out the posts?
I think it's for "double tilt" kit that you can use for under table routing. Table must be reversed, so needs the racks on both sides.
