Well done Kieren! It's good to see you young bloods sharing your skills. I don't rush, seldom out of work. Also flush up all joints and fill the frogs up roughly before I lay the next course. But I am old.
Nice job mate well done I've got some lbc rustics to lay in the new year not looking forward to them merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your family
Hate em. Did a job in the summer with the LBC rustic wire cuts and you end up chucking the bottom row of a band because they’re chipped and only faced on one end so have so much waste from cuts plus you got to lay one frog down on the external corners because they are only faced on one edge
@@keironhiggins9620 Yea not the best quality these days I believe they won't be about to much longer as the clay seam is coming to its end. Just fill the frog first before you lay the corner one frog down.
Nicely done.. Looks like it wasn't that horrible those bricks.. Ps5 is hard to get here in Belgium I've heard.. You can buy them no problem in the UK ? Peace out 🙏
Great job Kieren you didnt seem to be struggling to much the frog looks deeper than most bricks. I live in Australia our solids dont have very deep frogs in them
Hope it all goes well mate, all I would say is stick at it. At times you might feel like your not getting anywhere but ride it through mate👍🏽 you’ll get there in the end. Thanks for watching and have a good Christmas🧱
Looks like the same brick as my house LBC Heather 73mm, we are looking at doing an extension at the moment and same of the building around my area are saying that the don't like working with them. is it the colour matching or the height difference that people don't like? How do you get over the height issue, bend the brick ties? (I'm not a brickie - hence the question)
There is a manufacturer who makes a 73mm Heather thats not an LBC frogged brick it perforated 3 holes i think its carlton. I use a builders merchants in Sheffield called Frank key give them a bell for the exact name. You will need to cut them with a stihl saw thou. Good luck.
Congratulations on the 700 subs , your girlfriend needs to start saving up I reckon . Thanks for the shout out too , it’s a great little community we are in on TH-cam with plenty of great channels . Nice bit of brick work there . All the best to you two in the new house 🏡 🎄🎄🧱👍🏽

I've viewed LBC's with equal disgust for years. Makes me gringe when I see them used in boundary walls and I always advise against. Easy to cut and carry, and thats it. The ironic thing is they aren't cheap here in London, although they look it! Nice job.
Yeah I know I had to throw absolutely loads away due to chips cracks deformities, I swear I won’t use them again for my porch and I’m not even a brickie . Keep up the good work
Merry Christmas 🎄 Kieran. Top quality work, hope your customer appreciates. You have efficient laying style and great result. Nobody could fault it. Only positive comment I can think of would be to ball up the mortar a bit more on the spot board. I guess not so important though in this cool weather. For humour I'll now go watch your pick and dip video. Happy new year.
@@ConstructionwithKieren not knocking your work buddy. Just wanted to know if you were cutting the cavity out on the existing house to continue into the extension. As a fellow trowel working down south building control would have it down if we don’t. As it’s to stop damp from tracking across. The regulations are so tight down here
@@chris070563 no mate that’s fine, after doing it for 9 odd years we have never been told to do that, by inspectors/architects or anything! Which seems strange lol👍🏽
Don't need to cut it out totally for a continuous cavity but you do at least need to cut a vertical dpc in to stop the damp tracking across 👍 building control always make me do it...
