I never understood racism. It’s hating a group of people based where their from, something you can’t control. It’s saying that “you are a bad person because your skin looks like that” it doesn’t make sense. It’s wrong and I don’t know why people continue this.
Frenchist Toast. Let me help you with that. Theirs a big difference between wariness and deep hatred. The number of people that actually hate others for their skin color is almost non existent. What we do have are people with legitimate fears and concerns of any group that takes such pleasure in presenting an image of menace. This isnt just posing its backed by an off the charts violent crime rate. What we have here is an earned reputation that has nothing to do with racism. It would help if they stopped playing scatter the pigeons or whatever term is now used for intimidating vulnerable non blacks on the street these days.
@@Bob-fz7pd wariness over people a different color . Is blatant racism . Carrying one interaction into another with a person with that same color is racism . People can call it wariness or pattern recognition all they want but it’s racism .
@@Bob-fz7pd that was caused by racist policies and actions in the first place. Do you think that slavery was really that long ago? I found a person in a TH-cam comment who’s grandfather was 5 when slavery ended. That’s two people ago. Those effects are still lasting to this day and it shows by your comments.
That's not what racism is, racism is a growing hate of a particular group that grows from negative experiences with that group. Everyone experiences it. It's not always in the form of racism. For example you can hate a certain religion or people from a certain country or any kind of group actually. So technically we have all been acting like a racist in some way.
Ignorance is humanity's greatest enemy. Prejudice, bias, and lack of knowledge is all because of ignorance. I’m spiraling. I always used to think that bigotry came from small mindedness and a lack of education. But recently I’ve met some people who are very smart, creative thinkers who are well educated, but have said the most bigoted things imaginable. I can’t wrap my head around how or why. It makes me feel sad because before I could always get over bigotry, holding my head high, thinking that they’re just dumb and small minded. But this has been challenged. I can’t understand why they are bigoted.
I feel genuinely concerned about my own world view. During last new year, a person of color, whom I had never seen before, comes up to me to shake my hand and give best wishes. I don't want to shake hands. He called me racist. I don't want to shake hands with anyone, whom I don't know. Being called a racist, hurt. I don't understand why 'blacks' call themselves black. I don't call myself white. I'm a shade of brown, light brown at that. Other people have a darker tan of brown. We are all shades of brown. I'm a native Dutch, I don't join Dutch clubs to celebrate how caucasian we are. What the hell are we talking about. I don't give a shit. A friend asked me once "Whom do you want to trade places with ?" and I answered 'John Williams' (Dutch TV presenter) She : "But ....... he is black !" Me : "......................" I feel a target for anti-racist & anti-supremacist groups, just because I'm born to Dutch parents. Discrimination is not a thing between dark brown and light brown. it is a thing between people attacking something that is different on the other person. Be that skin color, red hair, cross eyed, large nose, tall underweight skinny posture, anything different and putting them away as 'different' and therefore not worthy. Every victim of a bully, feels discrimination at heart. All those people thinking it doesn't happen in their vicinity, can you actually, with a straight face, claim there was no 'black sheep' back in your school days or at work ? None ? Are you absolutely sure ? If there is a group of people sitting together and one co-worker sits apart from the rest, why is that ? Bullies need to realize, that they are not 'just having fun with someone for 2 minutes'. That victim is having those encounters all day long by multiple other people. When you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. For me it stopped when I planted my fist on the nose of one of those bullies. Say it started around age 8, it took 20 years before I hit back.
The sad thing is racism is never going to go away. Atleast not fully. As much as I’d love for it to disappear completely, there is always going to be Somebody who hates people that don’t look like them.
It definitely will go away at some point, at least to a point where it practically doesn't exist. And while this may seem like a ridiculous point but if there is other intelligent life in the universe humanity will unite a lot quicker and put aside racial differences.
I'm Brazilian and here there is racism but don't make sense because we are a mix of races, I'm White but for me racism is ridiculous(sorry for my english grammar)
That's because not every Brazilian is mixed. There are the natives, the Portuguese (white people) and black people. Brazil had one of the worse version of slavery ever, and you guys have yet to even have a civil rights movement.
Coming from a predominantly homogeneous society, I didn't realize what racism actually was until I moved to the US and married an African American guy. I was shocked to find out that people can get looks and "special" attitude just because of their skin colour, that police might pull you over on the freeway more frequently if you are not white. I was confused at the fact of being called Caucasian since I'm not coming from the Caucasus region. And many many more. The fact is that people all over the world need to get educated and treat everyone equally. We shouldn't single out one race over the other; in many homogeneous societies, if you look different than the majority of people, you might experience racism as well. In certain areas of the US, racism is geared towards Europeans, Asians, Mexicans and etc. I think we tend to attach stereotypes to nationalities and ethnicities, and, unfortunately, based on these stereotypes, people tend to act in a weird way to one another. The key is to respect every human being no matter of color, race, or religion.
Olga i don't think you've actually learned enough because your comment of racism geared toward "euros" in america. they blend in with everyone that is white so its highly unlikely that a spicy verbal exchange with a non white will never result in the death of an eastern european. Like NEVER. America made it possible for whites to walk in a predomantly asian or black area and they can come out of it in one piece. For most black americans, even at the doctor's office, if you have surgery booked its calming when you know the person holding the scalpel is black person. If you misunderstand the historical context of what I am saying then really you are not having deep conversations with your husband. I am mixed race and i never let my white father off the hook . he knows what's up.
@@PHlophe Thanks for commenting on my experience; however, I do not think it's polite to tell anyone what they have or haven't learnt. Race is a concept with almost no biological value in view of the genomic similarity between different human groups, but it is still useful with regard to establishing the effects that the environment exerts on natural selection and so-called geographic characteristics of different peoples, no more than that.
@@zoeymckeown3194 "3 main races". What does this actually mean? You talk about main races and then you welcome the diversity of life, and that this doesn't mean superiority, that's clear if we respect the "3 main races" I imagine. I said in my comment that if we analyze the human genome we will see that we are one race, with small differences observed in the different population groups that make up the human species, and that the differences between individuals that are part of the human species/race are , biologically, a result of the most different processes of natural selection that have occurred on these groups throughout the world and times, and of course the cultural aspect - yes, the human is a cultural being - which reinforced these distinctive external (physical) characteristics, attributing to them a value judgment - good/bad, right/wrong, better/worse -. Brains, in this process, develop plasticity and different neurophysiological functions in these individuals, but they continue to be brains of the "homo sapiens" species and of course, it all depends on what you mean by "race".
Love, education, respect, reasoning... those are the tools to change ppl with a racist mind set. Not punishing, not boicoting, not exposing them, that leads to embarrasment, that leads to more hate, that leads to radicalization. Yes, by doing so you can mute them, but you are not changing them.
@@Ghe608 yes, many horrible things have been done to the black community, but, how do we break the circle? Hostility and violence only bring more hostility and violence, until you fight it with the opposite.
People are more than just some labels. But the sad thing is we only know that labels about each other in the public. Because that's too personal to everyone . But that keeps ignorance and prejudice alive. In a society where there is total prejudice is only about the first impression of people. If you showed the one he doesn't like it's game over.
Well stated! He elegantly explains, how prejudice and racism could be hidden but practiced. The analogy using 'sight' is well crafted. Thank you for bringing up the video! Love!
I was looking for a very a smart talk about how early childhood or familiy pre-conditioning effects how a person views others of a different race in a negative light. None of us white, black, Asian, Hispanic are born genetically with a negative view of anyone really. Even at age 1, 2, 3,4,5,6,7.8.9 does a human being have a socially conditioned view of ethnicity or skin color. Either good or bad. So at what point does it happen? But no i get yet another black person feeding the fire. I grew up near Baltimore a city 75% black. I was one of a few white men in High school and i was remined of that each day. After i moved to a city that was majority white i started dating a black women and we have be together for some time now. She went to a h.s/college that was mostly white and says that even though her white girlfriends never bought up race its something that makes her feel different in a room filled with white people. She feels that at any moment she could say something that will further cement the stereotypical believe of a black woman being loud or aggressive . I tell her just because you feel this uncomfortable feeling doesnt mean that its "racism". I feel super uncomfortable around her familiy even after 4 years. They mention my " whiteness" a lot and it beings up feeling from h.s/college that made me feel very much unworthy bc i was white. Was i get told 1000 times on social media that black peolpe cant be racist . But i know its not coming from a place of hate, even if at times the slavery argument or the racial imbalance of incarcerated of black men come up. I can say the same stuff up peolpe say that slavery wasnt my fault( It wasnt) that it was a very long time ago. That many black men cant get credit from the physically labor that their ancestors did when they themselves have never picked up a object heavier than 10 pounds. I have some views of specific behavior some not all peolpe of color do, that are in theory racist. But its not bc i havent experienced the other side of pre-judgement based on skin color. Its not even based on skin color at all times. Its based on behavior, clothes, eye contact, and how aggressive you are to me. I'm trying to let go of my bad past with certain moments of racial indifferences. It doesnt do me any good to hold to them. I sleep next to a black women each night and she her mother 4 times a week. I dont have any family of my own so If i want to feel part of the familiy i have to make a honest attempt to be apart of the family. Its on me to feel comfortable around anybody and not anybody else.
I get your point but it's a bit tone deaf with regards to the situation in US. The racist do not care about black people or their opinions. Believe it or not, black people have been trying to persuade for a long time, and the freedoms we have today have come from brave ancestors who risked their lives protesting not knowing if they would be lynched or torn to pieces by guard dogs. protesting today is really the least one can do today. Their sacrifices will never be in vain.
Lechiffresix six, Historical figures are examined with the context of the period they belong to. Given that, a person can be “Mahatma= The Great Soul” to a given extent. Anyway I just wanted to put forward Gandhian views on the topic of social change🙂
iffy Baby violence lead to violence.. Why do you think USA have such norm regarding guns? and why do you think USA has such colossal numbers of gun violence? It’s simply because of the nature of the Americans revolution it was a violent one!! With violence you can never have a true social change that one desire....persuasion is the only way 🙂
aah a let me make few points clear to you 1) No one accused Mr Modi of being racist(many have called him Hindu Nationalists) 2) Everyone is aware of the relationship between India and Pakistan, so it really doesn’t matter what Imran Khan propagate about Mr Modi Further, I just wanted to make a correlation between the nature of a revolution and the end result with respect to the social orientation of that particular society.
Name calling based on people’s appearance should obviously be condemned. But I am not convinced about the overall tone about “racism”, “systemic racism”, or “institutional racism”. Judging by the amount of noise that’s being made one would thing “racism” in societies is increasing. I don’t think that’s the case. In an increasingly “diverse” society the talk of “racism” has become a tool to enforce social harmony. That’s how citizens are taught how to think and what to notice and what to ignore. We are at a point where a movement proclaiming to be progressive has become an opponent of science and biology in order to advance certain beliefs, dogmas, social ideologies and agendas. That’s why “racism” is now more a weapon than reality.
"Don't punish people for their views and ideas. Instead, change their views and ideas (positively) via education and information." Wonderful to see how Gandhian philosophy has a soothing medicine for the problem of racism! 👍🏽
So if we send millions of black to your country and the people don't like it shall we 'change' them or is diversity only allowed to take place in western countries?
@@SciSciToys It really would be nice to actually get to the bottom of why seeing black people makes you angry. Not just you, any racist can comment. Give me some insight!
@@Shane76712 All we want is for our people to be able to exist and thrive. And live a happy life. And not have to worry about our race being destroyed. And our countries being replaced by foreigners.
It's not natural. Race is a term invented by Europeans that dehumanizes groups of people in order to establish the "superior race" which are supposedly white people.
Fear and Control is what causes people to be racist. When you have a fear that you don’t know or can’t understand someone because of their culture or race that is fear. Control is another reason. In most cases it’s the dominant race, educational and financial class who wants control. Like in India most people are of the race same but they’re racist towards others because of their educational or financial class. We see the same in many African countries. It’s not always about race but it’s most related to race.
As a muslim woman, I experienced racism my whole life, but what surprised me recently that a black person was racist to me:) I was so confused, because the black community suffered the most from it therefore having one of em being racist was really unexpected.
It's used to divide culture easily for some people. For example, in Liberia you _can not_ ever be a citizen unless you are black or born from a former citizen. Note the difference? You can immigrate as a black person but if you don't meet their prescribed ratio of blackness you will never be a citizen by law. People talk about systematic racism, well, that is an example of it that the international community is strangely silent on.
In Israel, marriages between Jews and Palestinians are generally not permitted and if you’re Palestinian, you ought to pass through multiple checkpoints to even head into Tel Aviv or past Gaza or the West Bank, so to speak?
Why people are racist? Ez 1. Rich family that probably their generations had slaves working for them and they kept passing that racist thing through generations even tho it ended. 2. The most common. People insecure af with low self esteem and not comfortable with their life’s they need so hard to believe they have something superior than others don’t so they can feel a little better with themselves. Why you guys think that in the gaming communities there are so much racist kids? Because most of them in real life are very quiet, extremely low social life, fat etc.. They feel so inferior and so bad with their life’s and that’s when racist pop up .
Simply spoken, racism is that of ignorance. You do not know someone, or understand someone or what they're doing ect. Information is power. Racism is dissolved by asking questions. Understanding that others have a different view.
The problem is by getting fixated on the words, it doesn't address the root of racism and why it comes about. We get too offended over what is a natural human way of being - so until we can stop shaming each other for being racist, can we actually understand it and fight it on an even playing field. Edit: Also, by only listening to victims, we learn nothing of actual racism - only it's consequences and effects... Instead we'd learn a lot more to hear from ex-racists(or somebody conscience of their potential racist motivations) who can explain how they have come to understand their past racist convictions.
People misunderstand the term” racist “ everyone is racist a little or a lot towards the other races and can’t even admit it . Especially nowadays society is forcing us to accept stuff we don’t even want to . We should always judge ourselves first but the conflict will always exist .
It bothers be because genetically speaking I’m black and the last thing I want to talk about is race. I’m an American and that’s my only border you know. Past that I love Americans (I don’t think I’ll date one though… an American I mean)
The worse weapon of racism is when you can’t get the job or flat/house despite having the same kind of qualifications or when one marginalised or small ethnic group will turn against another (Jews vs. Palestinians, South Asians vs. Africans, light vs. dark). Calling a nasty slur, it’s not polite in public but actions (violence, economic control, sexual control) speak louder than words.
For me no matter what skin race I still gonna respect them make them as friends I got so many friends any from other countries even third world countries That makes me multicultural
Down here in Mexico,we had our ancestral God's ,we used to love and praised,White's came and call us Pagans and Idolaters,THEN,they invented images and Foreign God's whom are Death as their religion, they imposed on us. So we became twice Pagans double idolaters,or some shit like that.
I disagree w you about the 'instinctive' nature of prejudices. I believe that it is Learned, as you said later, by parents, teachers, etc. But NOT instinctive. Young children are color blind!!
We should stop paying attention to colour, when we talk to each other, or about each other. That's the first step. I am a human, you are a human. Your friend, also a human. It's that simple.
I don't know much about it but if I'm not mistaken a 2012 study claimed that the combination of low IQ and social conservatism was the biggest predictor of prejudice (this is rooted in projection- I don't think everyone is racist deep down inside but I do think some prejudice is a normal human instinct that is especially strong in times of high stress or at least social conflict with different people, although there are other natural instincts that conflict with that and the prejudice instinct can be controlled and desensitized with certain experiences. Some people don't seem to take the idea of subtle racism seriously, and I understand why since a lot of what people claim to be 'microaggressions' or subtle racism is purely interpretative and rooted in their own hyper-mistrust and critical attitude toward X people, but I do think it's common. It doesn't seem like it takes a lot to bring this out in relatively normal people, including some of the most 'liberal' people or people who are very vocal in condemning the prejudices they would never express overtly). Normally I would take any research in psychology with a grain of salt (it's not an empirical science) so I'm being very deliberate in saying that it's 'predictor' and simply noting a correlation. I can concede that in some sense minorities are more vulnerable to racism (that would include white and non-black minorities in black neighbourhoods, cities and countries) but I don't agree with the narrative that racism is a uniquely white phenomenon and blacks / p.o.c don't routinely express prejudice on the basis of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation etc. (or actively harm people on the basis of racial, ethnic and etc. prejudice) or that anti-white prejudice, anti-gay prejudice, anti-immigrant prejudice, the prejudice p.o.c have against each other based on race and ethnicity and nationality etc. isn't the same basic concept / psychology. I wouldn't be surprised if white North Americans or whites from traditionally Anglo-Saxon countries (or even white Westerners generally) were on average less racist than p.o.c although I wouldn't necessarily assume that (I definitely think it's less socially acceptable for whites to express overt racial prejudice or ethnic prejudice - at the very least if we're talking about non-white ethnic groups, as a general cultural norm). Noting patterns and forming predictions based on them is a normal part of human nature (and animal nature in general I could argue), it helps us to survive and learn, but I think the logical flaw in racism (which would relate to IQ) is in not being able to handle the complexities that come with taking people as individuals and relying on a simple, convenient, emotional heuristic when dealing with people in a threatening world that we overgeneralize (ie. past experience with lions was violent so assume lions in future are violent, there might not be time to get to know individual lions or come to a conclusion about John Doe based on interactions with or observations of him specifically without preconceived notions based on one or some of the groups he belongs to so just immediately assume he's threatening. I could better word this, some generalizations are also more or less consistent and humans are rational agents even if, like lions, we have certain predictable instincts. Also, there can be a sense of safety that comes with familiar people. I also think part of the problem is in not being able to differentiate between traits, behaviors etc. and the nature of what makes someone a member of group X if belonging to group X actually does correlate with those traits, behaviors etc). I don't assume that I don't have a low IQ and I can see how linking IQ with prejudice can be condescending and there are things that might correlate with higher IQ that have nothing to do with an inability to think logically or being less cognitively developed (like a preference for classical music and I don't care, classical music is not my favorite genre. I definitely like some of it but most of it, especially baroque music and classical music proper, is not that emotionally moving, it generally has never triggered deep euphoria in me. Interestingly a preference for opera apparently does not correlate with higher IQ even though it's considered 'high culture') but I have to assume that has something to do with why it correlates with a lower IQ. I can see why the in-group loyalty and nationalism / patriotism that tends to be associated with conservatism would apply but I have a hard time believing that liberals have higher IQs, on average, or are any less prejudiced (generally as opposed to being less prejudiced against specific groups). This might be a potential low IQ cope but I also have a hard time believing that IQ tests for all intents and purposes measure a general intelligence but that's another topic. Toward the end it seems to me as if you're wrongly conflating a lack of consideration of someone else's point of view or perspective or situation with an actual negative feeling (I also think you can have mistrust and hyper-apprehension without negative feelings toward a person but the negative feelings often imply that), which is what 'prejudice' implies to me, or even lack of empathy, toward people who are different in whatever respect.
Humans are easily spooked, I think. People like the known and the familiar. When we face something different and don’t know instinctively how to behave, we get uncomfortable, unease and anxious.
"Information is the key" I totally agree. Why was that woman shouting at him outside the train station? If only we knew why she wanted his attention. Then we could teach her that are better ways than screaming the N Word from a window.
It's a nice sentiment, but I don’t think you can change people's views and ideas. It's not that people are uneducated or unaware and need better information. They enjoy holding those views, it gives them pleasure to be racist etc. Therefore the only way to combat this is with retribution - I mean that in a very literal and physical sense. They need to feel more fear and pain than pleasure.
In general terms most people will treat you with respect if you treat them with respect. When someone of my race is a dumb fuck I dont have a problem saying so. When you stick up for and make excuses for dirtbag behavior you lose crediability. Its really that simple. Most of the time there is a cause and effect relationship between HOW you conduct yourself and how others act toward you. Its not really a hard concept to grasp.
Personally I think racism should be legalised, sticks and stones is the analogy here, why is it that people get offended by words, you can call me anything you want, I know who I am and what I am worth so getting upset by what anyone calls me just shows weakness and doubt in your worth and honestly is it really worth the effort to engage with a person because they have had derogatory remarks towards you, defending yourself against what someone who doesn’t matter to you is only making things worse and pointing out that they could be right about you
As a traveling showman I can Connect with the racism, our Heritage and community go back centuries and has aways been looked down on , even to the point of where we can live in the winter months the only difference in we are such a small Minority that we can’t get listened too , the is good and bad in every culture , it’s a sad world
Onyeka distinguishes himself off the bat (or at least the editing decisions do), however his use of the concept of privilege is deliberately skewed. One is disadvantaged when one cannot do something that others can, but one is not privileged because one is not disadvantaged. This muddying of simple concepts is a result of intersectionalism which, let's remember, is a legal theory designed to empower perceived victims to become perpetrators. In every region/country on earth, an identifiable minority will always feel (and therefore be) at a disadvantage no matter what is done to counteract this, since what they naturally want is to be the identifiable majority. Very basic mammalian behaviour.
Can someone please help me? My one goal in life is to be a good person. The absolute last thing I want to do is unknowingly be racist. So, as a well-off, white man, I'm begging you. Tell me what I can do! Tell me what I might be doing wrong and what I can do to be a better person! Please! Ever since the death of George Floyd and the protests that have ensued, I have been beating myself up and questioning all of my life choices. Please help!!
I think you can be a good person and still unknowingly hold prejudices. Some of it has nothing to do with the things that you do and everything to do with lessons you’ve learned your whole life. I had a white boss of mine ask me if I had met my father because he didn’t expect a Hispanic person to have ever met his dad. He asked with zero malice. It’s just what he’s been exposed to his whole life. One white child in Utah asked me what (Mormon) ward I belonged to because he assumed I was a member of the LDS church (I’m not) like _everybody_ else he knew.
You clearly are a good person but seemingly vulnerable to the gas lighting of the left. Turn off the MSM, read books and learn how to think critically.
Know you have white privilege meaning that you won’t feel the same racism as black or people of colour will, if you are here questioning that your racist just do this. When you think of another race how does that make you feel? Do you change behaviour when you talk to another race? What I’d say is just be yourself a lot of black people HATE when you try to make them feel special because of their skin just treat them how you’d treat a family member (if they are one of your friends)
I’m commenting as a cis white male. I’m not sure how to feel about clip. I was born this way and I think it’s a disease more than what I do. I wish I could change it but I cannot. Other than reading and consuming the right books what else can I do?
Look people. We are born into this world for some meticulous reason that can not be explained and we will never know what are we here for and why we are who we become. We are born to die. What exist in between is choices which can very well be that so called secret or key to life. I say we need to just stop fighting it and stop discussing the matter because human behavior is limitless. We need to realize until the end of time, our behavior is forever. We should just let things go its course. We are not programmed like algorithms in a computer at birth. Regardless of how we are taught as minors, we choose who we are at some point, rather if you choose to be a saint or a monster. We have choices, the key to life. Racism is a choice. Thats life until we die.
I don't think class has anything to do with racism, which seems to be implied here. There are people of all classes who are racist and those who are not. If you think working class people are more likely to be racist that's just your own bias. I'd say there are more working class people likely to not be racist for two reasons. One, there are more working class and Two, they are more likely to have people of different backgrounds in their friends circle. Although I know there is much more racism in England than there is in Scotland. I'm not entirely sure why? Density of population maybe!?
I will let you in on a little secret as someone you'd commonly consider 'far righhttt'. I do see differences in the difference races. I see differences in temperament and IQ. I see people whom I wouldn't want as the majority in my nation. Does it mean I hate black or brown individuals? Of course not! Many are great people. I can chat with them and do them favours. But racism is a natural, and usually private emotion that we mostly keep to ourselves. But it's there. Attempts can be made to 'educate' it out of us, but we still see what we see. Racist attacks and violence are unacceptable in most societies, and rightly so, but subconscious racism is something we'll always have. You won't end it until the day we all look the same.
In America, white supremacy is so pointless, honestly at this point you should just give up. Ever since 1964 America isn’t a white country. I do agree with race and iQ, accept the facts people.
I go to Manchester on the surface it looks multicultural but when you look close vast majority walk round with people the same ethnicity as themselves. This means different ethnicities lead separate lives.
In the Bible, Jesus said that love amongst one another is the greatest commandment And that we should first love one another I firmly believe that because love heals. But the government and other groups on this country from time to time stir the pot (for their own gain) and cause anger and divisiveness to come back again. It’s like picking a scab that was healing already I look so forward to the time when governments and groups of rich people that stir that pot can no longer cause this harm. And all races will be able to live amongst one another in that sincere love that Jesus spoke about

@Name Channel Name Name my apologies to what you encountered, but I do agree with what you said. Nice explanation.

BTW the reverse can also happen: people who haven't had much education but are very much against judging others based on their background.
What's the point of being racist anyways?

I don't want to shake hands.
He called me racist.
I don't want to shake hands with anyone, whom I don't know.
Being called a racist, hurt.
I don't understand why 'blacks' call themselves black.
I don't call myself white.

Other people have a darker tan of brown.
We are all shades of brown.
I'm a native Dutch, I don't join Dutch clubs to celebrate how caucasian we are. What the hell are we talking about.
I don't give a shit.
A friend asked me once "Whom do you want to trade places with ?" and I answered 'John Williams' (Dutch TV presenter)
She : "But ....... he is black !"
Me : "......................"
I feel a target for anti-racist & anti-supremacist groups, just because I'm born to Dutch parents.

Exactly what's skin colour gonna do
Coming from a predominantly homogeneous society, I didn't realize what racism actually was until I moved to the US and married an African American guy.

I feel so lucky to live in a place where people are not judged on the basis of their skin tone.
BRUH I-
I was looking for a very a smart talk about how early childhood or familiy pre-conditioning effects how a person views others of a different race in a negative light.

“Persuasion not violence is the key to bring about social change” -Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatmaa did not use this for black people though. He was the quintessential racist.

Why do you think USA have such norm regarding guns? and why do you think USA has such colossal numbers of gun violence?
It’s simply because of the nature of the Americans revolution it was a violent one!!
With violence you can never have a true social change that one desire....persuasion is the only way 🙂

1) No one accused Mr Modi of being racist(many have called him Hindu Nationalists)
2) Everyone is aware of the relationship between India and Pakistan, so it really doesn’t matter what Imran Khan propagate about Mr Modi
Further, I just wanted to make a correlation between the nature of a revolution and the end result with respect to the social orientation of that particular society.
Wow thank you very much for this information. We need more of this!

Isn't it natural for any kind of population to feel certain degree of prejudice against something different to themselves?
True. Human beings are tribal.
Black community racism is a result of centuries of being treated horribly by all races. Though sorry to hear that's happened to you.
Who created Liberia and for what purpose? Hint: 🇱🇷
In Israel, marriages between Jews and Palestinians are generally not permitted and if you’re Palestinian, you ought to pass through multiple checkpoints to even head into Tel Aviv or past Gaza or the West Bank, so to speak?
Wow, that is actually very immoral.
People really just like to have something to complain about. Like if anybody’s race bothers you, you need help
Or face for that matter to
Why people are racist? Ez
What if we get rid of the part of our brain that causes prejudice? What's are it's benefits and setbacks?
focus on what people have in common rather than what they do not.
Edit:
Also, by only listening to victims, we learn nothing of actual racism - only it's consequences and effects...

We should stop paying attention to colour, when we talk to each other, or about each other. That's the first step. I am a human, you are a human. Your friend, also a human. It's that simple.
What causes prejudice? Fear, ignorance and a sense of superiority.
You guys, I am afraid to leave my own home just because I'm an African American.

It's usual due to one groups particular behavior, habits, culture, generally speaking.
Personally I think racism should be legalised, sticks and stones is the analogy here, why is it that people get offended by words, you can call me anything you want, I know who I am and what I am worth so getting upset by what anyone calls me just shows weakness and doubt in your worth and honestly is it really worth the effort to engage with a person because they have had derogatory remarks towards you, defending yourself against what someone who doesn’t matter to you is only making things worse and pointing out that they could be right about you
As a traveling showman
I can Connect with the racism, our Heritage and community go back centuries and has aways been looked down on , even to the point of where we can live in the winter months the only difference in we are such a small Minority that we can’t get listened too , the is good and bad in every culture , it’s a sad world

What do you mean by instinctively ?
Are you making assumptions ?
Are you racist ?
4:20 nice
I guessing in part of that woman there are Karen genes
I've never dealt with racism and I'm black
Good for you.
im purple
I hate it because i get made fun of because of my skin color
I don't understand racism I'm white and I luv black people soo much
*You looks brilliant!*
You dont need to beat yourself up for existing mate. We cant control what we cant control
What I’d say is just be yourself a lot of black people HATE when you try to make them feel special because of their skin just treat them how you’d treat a family member (if they are one of your friends)
you have already took the first and most important step. just trust your heart from here on out.
I expect this video better. Anyway I liked the end of it.
I’m commenting as a cis white male. I’m not sure how to feel about clip. I was born this way and I think it’s a disease more than what I do. I wish I could change it but I cannot. Other than reading and consuming the right books what else can I do?
Sadly, nothing. Its just how the world is. Humanity is a cancer
Density of population maybe!?
i dont get it why do some people care about a skin color like bro just love eachother its not even hard stop trying to be so cool so hard dude
Why do u wanna hate peapole
Why wouldn’t you want them in your nation?
In America, white supremacy is so pointless, honestly at this point you should just give up. Ever since 1964 America isn’t a white country. I do agree with race and iQ, accept the facts people.
@@pixelander Probably brainwashing
Thanks for your honesty, it's refreshing.
I go to Manchester on the surface it looks multicultural but when you look close vast majority walk round with people the same ethnicity as themselves. This means different ethnicities lead separate lives.
In the Bible, Jesus said that love amongst one another is the greatest commandment
And that we should first love one another
I firmly believe that because love heals. But the government and other groups on this country from time to time stir the pot (for their own gain) and cause anger and divisiveness to come back again. It’s like picking a scab that was healing already
I look so forward to the time when governments and groups of rich people that stir that pot can no longer cause this harm. And all races will be able to live amongst one another in that sincere love that Jesus spoke about
why birds of feather flock together ?
He said white middle class people are racist instinctively. By his own bigotry does that means he is intrinsically racist and prejudice does it not?
If they don't know they are doing it, it's not their fault
Wtf
