It's like he's saying this to himself. In my eyes, the Jedi Order bears the brunt of the blame for his downfall, but in the end, Anakin was still his own greatest adversary, and I think he realized it too late. Man versus self. A true tragedy in every sense.
I agree Anakin was fighting himself though out the movie thinking about his chocies untill he reached the point of no return when he killed all those Jedi

What makes it even sadder is that kylo won't even of joined the first order if anakin hadn't fell to the darkside and became darth vader since kylo was inspired to join because he worshipped darth vader.
1. Kylo Ren and the Sequel Trilogy are not canon. 2. I think that Darth Vader was the influence on Ben Solo, so if Anakin never joined the dark side, the former wouldn't have too.
if only Yoda was on Coruscant that day. "darth anakin" (but not yet vader) with his troops behind him, but in the entranceway lights up a green light saber.

Anakin did indeed become a greedy bastard who wanted power. He gained much when he became Darth Vader. But he became a cruel murderer and he lost Obi-Wan's friendship. Bottom line, power always has a price, and sometimes it's not a price worth paying.

He still turned evil, and as you should know, when that happens, sooner or later, your intentions don't matter. He betrayed Padme, and once she was dead, he continued to spread suffering as Palpatine's enforcer, which included destroying Alderaan. He was only able to do the right thing because Luke reminded him of what he once stood for.

That last fight between Anakin and Obi-Wan was good, I suppose but, it's kind of dull in a way. Obi-Wan basically spends the entire fight, defending himself from Anakin's attacks until that most idiotic of maneuvers when Anakin jumped to attack Obi-Wan, and gets his remaining limbs severed.
fred fry The irony of it all was that Anakin would have eventually powered through Obi-Wan's near-impenetrable Soresu defense because his limitless rw power in the Force would've allowed him to outlast Kenobi in spite of his more demanding style. Kenobi was able to draw him into that situation because Anakin was arrogant and, through his rage-induced tactical tunnel vision, was unable to use his surroundings to his advantage or prevent Kenobi's doing the same to him.

THEY RUINED IT IN THE 2008 SHOW, THEY BASICALLY MAKE PERFECT & GOOD THE JEDI COUNCIL, DESPITE THE EPISODES 1-3 SHOW THE OPOSITE
