Massive thanks to Kevin for carrying out the clutch replacement on my Mondeo 👍 What a professional, I can't recommend him enough. Hopefully the rest of the car lasts as long as the new clutch. Many thanks.
Yes he did a great job mate may I ask you how many miles your Mondeo has and also how long was the dmf rattling before you have the job done many thanks Jason
@@jasonwiggins7894 Hello mate, she's done 187250.miles. It started playing up early December, vibrations through the clutch pedal, it was ok when fully engaged and unengaged. But when it was partially engaged wow what a noise and vibration. I also had the clutch go all the way to the floor a few times, but it came back up if you put your foot under it. Hope that helps, I can't recommend Kevin enough though if you do get it changed.
Wow that is great mileage no complaints there Andrew there's lots of Mondeo haters out there but I think they are a great car ready to do another 180000 then catch you later bud
@@leebenstead7171 Hi Lee No I didn't, the steering wheel was still centred well and she wasn't pulling either way. However I've just replaced the N/S lower arm ball joint and the steering wheel isn't central anymore and she's pulling to the left a little bit, so I will be getting the wheel alignment done now. Hope that helps.
@@leebenstead7171 No problem, hope it goes well. I normally carry out my own repairs and believe I could of done this one, but it would of taken considerably longer with lots of TH-cam to make sure I was doing it right. Kevin worked like a machine and it took him 6 or 7 hours to do. It was well worth paying him to do the job for me. I just hope the rest of the car lasts for a good chunk of the clutches life. As the ball joint went just a few weeks after the clutch, I would highly recommend checking to see if any other components require changing whilst you are doing the clutch it could save you a lot of time. Good luck 🤞
Did this exact job on the same model car a couple of years ago on my drive. Took me two days and a bath full of Radox afterwards. He makes this look easy when it is anything but. Man handling gearboxes like that takes some doing, and he clearly earns every pound he makes. 👏👏

It’s 21:00hrs I started renewing my gearbox on the fiesta mk6 1.25 at 08:00hrs, I’m exhausted, covered in bruises and marks, got gearbox oil all in my eyes and face, all I can say is you must have arms like pop eye, oh and I had help off a second person, the clutch pedal felt a bit spongy, so should I bleed it a bit more, I did it about ten times but I lost my will to live 😂

Also, because you are alone, just put the wheels underneath the car just incase the jack stands falls or fails then the car will fall on top of the wheels. Cool😎
Just a quick question please, I have installed the new gearbox on fiesta mk6 1.25, just wanted to ask if you advise back bleeding the clutch fluid or do you have any advise on best/safest way, thanks 🙏 love your videos
I know you want a reply from the man himself but with bleeding the clutch you can do it either way you like. I usually only back bleed if I'm having trouble getting air out of the master cyclinder
Omg. That mondeo actually tired you alot. Alot of stuff needs to come out just for a clutch. Really good job kevin. Love you alot❤❤. And i want to ask a question. You now when you put the clutch on and then when you start putting the gearbox back on. When you start putting it on does the clutch inside the gearbox move when your putting it in so that the gear box sits. Like i mean when you try and put the gearbox back on. Does the clutch move by it self so that it sits even if youve titened the clutch bolts? please answer my question i really want to know❤❤❤❤
