16:01 Another interesting point about nuclear silos is that the nuclear missile they carry belongs to whoever built it, _not_ to whoever currently controls the silo. Suppose one terran player builds a nuclear silo and a nuke, but then an opponent destroys the command center and builds or lands their own there to steal the silo. The silo will change control to the new player, but the nuke won't. So the original builder will still get saddled with the 8 supply for the nuke, even though they no longer decide where it goes.
20 seconds off the WR at GDQ is insane. Almost flawness mate, really nice run. One of my favourite games of all time, it still holds up to the test of time.
Oh no, the zerg broods are in disarray and the UED controls the overmind. There's no possible way that kerrigan could take over the sector now, and certainly not in an hour and a half!
Not sure if it was mentioned, but Terran AI only seems to Scan for cloaked units if the cloaked units attack an enemy unit, not a enemy building. This is easily exploitable against the Terran. This is why in that early mission he was able to position a Ghost between Mineral Field's and choke the enemy pathing without the enemy killing the ghost.
Original Starcraft campaign teaches you that you can steal other player's add-ons if he lifted his buildings or if they got destroyed. Obscured strats, never I imagined it would be used in a meaningful way!
Wow LordOfDabu... that's a name I haven't heard in almost 20 years. He used to moderate the Gamefaqs Brood War forum. I wonder what he's up to nowadays.
love the fact that some of us like to do the starcraft units voices to reference it on everyday life without anyone noticing from time to time i just say: armed and ready, we cannot hold them ( in spanish ) :D
Fun run although I was a bit disappointed to see they cheesed which version of mission 5 to do- seems like cheating to not stick with the consequences of the choice you make in mission 4.
Brood War is the most gamer game that ever gamed.
Starcraft runs are some of my favorites. Always nice to see an RTS at gdq.
Didn't expect to shed a tear at 26:05.

So the 3 Brood War campaigns have all been run at GDQ now. KingDime ran Protoss back in 2019 and 7thAce ran Zerg earlier this year. Amazing stuff!

Excellent run, and excellent donation message starting at 26:03 ! My favorite game of all time, and it still delivers.
Shox! Dabu! I miss playing with you guys on LL back in the day. Great job here. Awesome run.
What a phenomenal run! Dismantling these levels with ease. Hope to see more Starcraft at future GDQs! Great job Shox
Only brood war can produce multiple "yeah I've never seen this before" moments in a single live run
Watch a Broodwar speedrun? "Delighted to sir!"
"Outstanding!"
Buckle up, Ace, we're comin' for ya!

Best expansion ever made for the best game! Long live StarCraft: BroodWar! Please never stop playing this game!
Waow, that was impressive!
Remember us, TH-cam comments, remember what was done here today, and may Adun watch over you. HERE COME THE LIKES!

What a great run, with great commentary.😁
Such a classic! Wild always to see the speed!
Jesus christ, the man missed his WR time by 20 seconds
Sick run and kudos to all the people that crafted it! That CC landing on the Nuke Silo -trick was sweet.
Greatest RTS ever made
That was insane! So well done! :D And so cool to see a ton of tricks I never knew for this game that I've played so much and that means so much to me!
I'm here. Good run!

Jim Reynor for president!
Awesome run, thanks! I really hope that strategy games will keep being part of the events. Maybe a Red Alert 2 run for the next year?
I was like "huh but I thought Ace did the brood war run?" then I remembered that there are other races besides zerg :p
This is Terran propaganda, there are the zerg and their chewtoys.
Neat
I like to take my time and macro ... I probably take more than 30 min on that first mission LOL
Fun run although I was a bit disappointed to see they cheesed which version of mission 5 to do- seems like cheating to not stick with the consequences of the choice you make in mission 4.
