Thank you so much, it really worked! However, I managed to remove that nozzle with bare hands. Then, I gave it a thorough clean and blew a hole with my mouth. Finally, I turned on the cleaning switch for 30 seconds straight until I obtained a steady stream of water. Then put nozzle back and it worked!!! You saved me both time and money! May God bless you!
Great little video! my 1 series rear washer hasnt been working for the last six months at least? followed your instructions, and it works like a dream now 😀 thank you very much, and a happy new year for 2024!!!!
Heey man, you are a messiah! I literally checked both UA and RU guides, and rhere is no such video! I barely guessed how to name a proper prompt to find that video! Will try that later on and let you know if that worked
Thanks, fixed mine thanks to your help! It's worth testing the water comes out before putting the nozzle and cover back on, as I identified the problem was in the main feed pipe rather than the nozzle (which is where I had expected the problem to be). I used a thin allen key to poke around inside it, that did the trick.
My one series is a later model the jet is located and positioned in the rear high level brake light not the wiper. But thanks for your informative video.
I'm not getting water at all to the rear screen on my 2005 series 1, I can hear the pump working when I operate front washer but can't hear anything when operating the rear, what could the problem be? Thanks
Check if you are getting water to the back at all - disassemble the pipes and see if you are getting anything before the nozzle and the wiper gear casing (the silver bit) or the non return valve. If not then either you have a hole in the pipe leading back or you have blockage at the pump exit in the front would be my guess.
Hi mate, my rear washer has completely snapped off. i have a bmw 1 series 118d (2006) could you link me a place to buy one please as im not familiar with cars
I have 2 different nozzles and when i put in either the liquid overshoots the window a good bit. Would you know what the problem is? Do i have to bend the nozzle someway?
Hello mate, i have the same version as you, its the same process of removing the cover, gentle pulling the nossle out and cleaning it, just a slightly different design (twin nozzle spray) hope that helps 👍
Can anybody help? I have an issue with my pump. When I activate the rear washer, the wipers activate, but the pump does not. I have replaced the pump with a known working one, with the same result. After testing with a multimeter, the pump is not drawing any power when the switch is activated. The fuse diagram shows I need to take the car to the garage, but I am wondering if anybody has experienced the same problem? Any help would be much appreciated!
@@MTechGuy is the pump on a 2005 116i behind the panels in the right front wheel area? Are there separate pumps for front & rear? Thanks for your help, much appreciated
My pump works for the front but doesn’t for engage for the back is that a fuse issue or wiring? Or is there a separate pump for the back any help please?
That worked, Thanks. My 13 yr old son and I watched your video and got it working 😊
Thank you - I followed your helpful guide, and I now have working (unblocked) rear washer jets again!
Perfect, just what I needed! Easy Fix after watching your video. Thank you!

Nice one Rick, glad you found the video of valve. Thank you for the kind words
Legend. Just used this vid to fix mine, had to suck and blow on the nozzle to get the offending grit out but now it’s works treats. Thanks mate

Cheers Ross, yes for sure worth checking everything while it’s apart. Thanks for checking out the video
What better to do at the start of a new year, that outstanding job.
Thanks for checking out the video Garry, Happy new year!
Fixed mine by following this guide, thanks!
Glad it helped!
Perfect! Thanks so much for this - took me a couple of minutes to fix - and free :) legend
No worries, thanks for checking out the video
This video helped a lot, thanks man!
Another great informative video. My mini’s rear washer has just stopped working so should be the same fix.
Thank you very much as that worked perfectly! I am now a subscribed 🙂
Surely you’d operate the pump before refitting the nozzle to rinse out the blockage
You can do 👍
Thank you very much, helpful video
Nice video thank you!
Cheers Bobby, thanks for watching!

The angle can be adjusted with a thin nozzle tool, or a needle
@@MTechGuy thanks bro, will try tomorrow
I can't open mine, its 2008. Could you help with how open 2008 or later model, thanks

If there is no power to the pump when the switch is activated, check the fuse, check the wiring
Mine broke when taking it out. What do I do now :(
Replace it
No water coming out when I disconnect hose as shown in this video
Pump is either blocked or dead, either way it’s worth inspecting the pump at the reservoir. I have a video coming out on this soon.

Yes and yes 👍
When did everyone start wearing those stupid black gloves when they do anything? I don't get why.
That’s not always the way- I wear the purple ones sometimes too 😁
Mine just stoped working today I think it’s the ice 🧊 tho started to get very cold here in the uk recently
Most washer fluid in the UK has antifreeze (unlike here in NZ)
Make sure it’s topped up the right ratio, and flush it through once the ice thaws
@@MTechGuy yeah I poured hot water onto it and it melted thanks tho 😃

Seperate pump for the rear, it’s positioned in the reservoir at the front of the car
@@MTechGuy thank you 🙏
