I think my FAVE this year was giving authors a last chance. In close second I loved when you read spoiler for DNFed books (that was so much fun!) and when you read multiple books from the same author (maybe because i love Matt Heig as well and was wondering if I should read his earlier work). I also really enjoy when you make a list of books that fall under the same "category" (like the ones that make you not wanna have kids xD )
I like the videos where you talk about the best/worst of a SPECIFIC thing. Example: Best/worst MAGICAL SCHOOLS That kind of stuff is cool. I'd like to see best/worst 'mentors' best/worst 'companion creatures or pets' best/worst 'etc' type stuff. It's possible that I'm TOO into Fantasy because people flying on giant crows seems so normal! haha Seeing (edit: multiple people!) think it's 'weird' seems so weird. Maybe reality and fantasy are blending in my mind. :D
I would love to see you dive more into the horror genre in a video! ❤️ I know mystery/thriller hasn’t been a hit but maybe horror will 😊 I love your “oddly specific” recommendations like the one “books that make me not want to have kids” 😂
I would like to see a video about "the most complicated plotline that's actually good." I have a hard time being surprised by most of the books I've picked up. I would love to know which books stumped everyone (not necessarily thrillers/mystery!) in this little booktuber community. I'm hungry for a real thinker. My favorite videos are the reading vlogs, especially when Steve and friends are visiting. Kindred was required reading for me when I was in high school (nyc) and I remember I could not put it down! I had a great teacher for guided discussion too. I love your audiobook recommendation videos! Mostly because I like to have a physical book and audiobook going at the same time and it's hard to know what's going to be enjoyable to consume as an audiobook vs what works better as a physical book.
I read A psalm for the wild-built because of you and I absolutely loved it. It was so comforting and wholesome, yet reflective and made me think a little a bit about the world around us. Hands down one of the best books for me this year.
I think I liked the "Goodreads Choice Awards 2021 Predictions & Votes". I like to know what makes you guess certain things and reasoning behind it. And I did like the drunken rants :D
I read both the Kite Runner and The thousand splendid sun during high school and the one thing that I still remember is how Zaman is both in them and hes the guy in charge of the orphanage. What fascinated me the most about him is his name since in Arabic it means "time" (it could be age and era too but I live time more). I still think it's a really nice touch to both the stories.
I'm just really happy that you post videos - whatever they are I will enjoy them. :) My favorite for this year was the Pride and Prejudice one because it made my friend and I realize we both "know" you and we also watched the movie and series on one sitting and it was a lot of fun. :) But that's because it has a story behind it and is special that way (although it's a great video as well). Honestly, our tastes in books differ quite a bit, but I always always love your way of speaking about books. I really don't mind if you hate the books I love. :D My favorite videos are the ones where you share both your thoughts on the books you've read and the whys behind the thoughts (ie. sharing a bit more about your inner world as well). I also loved the video where you talked about the Count of Monte-Cristo. It's on my list because of you and I have been reading it this year, but haven't yet finished it. I will continue to buddy-read it next year. :) The videos I would like to see... Just you talking about books (and a little bit about your life and the cats around you) with your (sometimes self-deprecating) humor at the center of everything. By the way, I'm shocked to see Flowers in the Attic here. I was traumatized by that book as a 12 years old girl years ago. The word part is my bff at the time gave the book to me as a birthday gift. she did me dirty. the friendship also didn't last anyways. lol.
It only partly responds to your question, but I would love to see a video about hopeful SFF. There's not much (such) content on the Internet -- I know because I looked it up repeatedly. The last two years have been hard on so many of us, and I believe we need more positive content (especially in the sci-fi world, which is often dark and pessimistic).

I'm surprised by Matt being the most annoying character in WOT as, though I found him irritating, I kept leaving the series to get away from Nynaeve, the worst person who isn't evil in any book I've ever read. What a childish, illogical, rude nightmare of a woman even at her best lol. Matt irritated me before becoming my favourite character, which reflects everyone I know's path through the series.

The only tricky thing is to remember all the books that work for the topic. “The dogs don’t die in these books” haha
