Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of a holiday in Barry Butlins or any other Butlins nor was I ever a red coat from film and photos I have seen in can't help but think what an enjoyable time the holiday makers had and it looked to me like the red coats had a great time too. I can only think that I have missed out on this fun in my life well done to everyone who worked with Butlins and the people who enjoyed their holidays there
Our family had a couple of holidays in the1970s at Primrose Valley Holiday Park next to Butlins , Filey. As a child I would squeeze through a gap in the fence and spend most of the day on the the free Butlins fare rides. A pity it closed in 1983 and was demolished.
Great to get a glimpse of my self as a red coat in 1968 73 now where did the time go great memories
Fantastic Thanks. We now fly all over the World, but, nothing, nothing can replace the excitement of arriving at Butlins Filey as a kid in the 60's
